Sway has an amazing all you can eat pie bar that is worth every penny. I think I ate 6 desserts and then had a steak salad for dinner. The desserts were flavor filled and their smaller sizes were great for experimenting with the different flavors. The steak on the steak salad was way back get than I was expecting. Visited on New Year's Day in 2018. We were a group of 5 almost at the end of our Atlanta-Gatlinburg New Year trip. It's a restaurant inside Hyatt Regency near Downtown Atlanta. If you are staying in the Marriott / Hilton / Hyatt, and are looking for a consistently good meal while avoiding some of the arbitrary pricing of the other hotel restaurants, this is the place. The food here is elevated southern with generous portions. The cocktail menu is pretty good, with a selection of whiskey available as well. There are better options in the area if you don't mind a short drive, but this is a good choice on a rainy day or after getting in from a late flight. read more

I was staying at a nearby hotel and heard great reviews of Sway. For a hotel, the prices weren't too overpriced, service was EXCELLENT and the food was pretty great. I visited this spot twice over a weekend in Atlanta. The first time was during dinner with my mother and grandmother for dinner. We were seated right away as we were the first guests to dine that evening. Antoinette was our waitress and she was AMAZING!!!!! I can't say enough about the way that she went above and beyond to make our experience the best. We were indecisive about what to order and originally had 4 dishes but Antoinette talked us down to 3 because she recognized we had ordered way too much food - we appreciated that. She constantly came to check on us and offered recommendations for all of our courses and engaged in plenty of conversation to make our dinner one to remember. She was funny and very personable. She even took some pictures of us and taught my mom and gma what a boomerang was ! Antoinette deserves a raise! I even noticed another gentleman that she was serving who was dining alone and could tell that she has such a way with people to make them feel comfortable, have a good laugh and a good meal. Located just inside the Hyatt hotel. I stopped in specifically for the Shrimp & Grits today. They arrived piping hot in a beautiful large white ceramic bowl packed with tasty flavors of spice, succulent shrimp, peppers and 2 perfectly poached eggs. Sausage isn't my thing so I 86'd it for extra shrimp. This dish was also accompanied by 2 cute little hot butter biscuits. Bliss in a bowl. Do yourself a favor and order it. Located inside our hotel. Everything we had here was so good couldn't resist eating more. They start you off with warm biscuits, cornbread and tomato jelly...YUM! We had the stuffed trout, lobster mac and cheese, steak salad and ribs. The steak was well seasoned. Ribs were falling off the bone which I loved! The mac and cheese was really stuffed with lobster and was delicious! The trout was all time favorite! There is valet or self parking available. Stayed in ATL for one night, was looking for southern food and came here because it was close to where I was staying. Sway is located in the Hyatt Regency. It was 1.5 hours before close on a weekday night and the restaurant was fairly empty. We ordered the: + short ribs $26 - soft, fork cutting beef atop creamy potatoes. While good, it was definitely on the bland side, esp compared to the mac & cheese + mac and cheese (w/ ham, also available with lobster for additional charge) $18 - let me start by saying that I love mac & cheese. This dish was ok but some suggestions to improve this dish would be: - serve it as a larger side for $7 or $8. This dish is just too much for an individual meal. Better to share or make it a side. - get rid of the chopped peppers and onion, they made it taste like a pizza. I went against my instinct of asking them to leave it out and ultimately regretted it. Add breadcrumbs or something. This is your typical hotel restaurant meal and I wish I had something else more local for my only night in town. read more

I decided to give this place a try after a long day of traveling. It was very convenient since I was staying at the hotel. The host was able to sit me very quickly. However it took forever for the waiter to come ask me for my drink order. It seems this restaurant is short staffed and needs additional help. Overall the food was good. Loved the southern hospitality, but was a little disappointed in the wild mushroom rolled pasta (not sure if this item is on the menu anymore). At $18, it was one of the cheaper things on the menu. I was expecting it to come in some kind of creamy cheese sauce, but instead tomato sauce and some unidentifiable mushroom blend in the middle. The roast chicken and mashed potatoes the family got down the way looked very moist and juicy. I left unsatisfied with the flavorings of my choice. Ate here during my conference for four meals. First day the service rocked. Sat at the bar area at lunch and it was great. Ate dinner there and IRIS was fabulous. Very personable and friendly. Then on Tuesday things made a turn. I was forgotten about or it appeared to me as. Was sat and no server. 10 minutes later I got a I'll be right with you. Ordered a water and waited several other tables were sat and served I finally asked the hostess for a glass if water and mentioned that I think I was forgotten to be told that the server was on the way. Ordered food and then the order was incorrect. But my fries were nice and hot, if I would have gotten catsup with it they would have been perfect. My server never came back until I flagged them down for my bill. The server saw that I was not impressed and offered a discount. Sway is a very solid choice in Downtown Atlanta. They have a great menu with healthy and not so healthy choices. Their $9 per table pie bar is a great bargain and I absolutely loved their apple strudel and cookies. Their sweet tea is the best I had in my entire life and is not overly sugary and just right. Service is impeccable expect for the fact that I never got my "bucket" of ice cream. Fried chicken is good but needs to be a bit crispier. What can I say, I was trying to give downtown restaurants a fair shake, so I grabbed a seat at the bar. I asked for a spicy version of a moscow mule. The bartender said he didn't have any spicy vodka, but could add ginger beer to it. Considering ginger beer is a standard ingredient in a moscow mule he had me confused, so I just ordered a regular moscow mule. As he was making it I noticed he put in some sort of glowing green syrup from a plastic bottle. Ah, so that must be the "lime juice". I expect most upscale bars to have lime juice. Not Sway. As you can expect the moscow mule was not good, especially for a single three-ingredient drink. Apparently I was a glutton for punishment this evening, so I decided to see how the food fared compared to the drinks. Unfortunately not much better. I ordered a trio of deviled eggs. Take a look at my photo to see how unappealing they looked. The bacon version was made with hours old bacon so it was chewy. The jalapeno version had a thin slice plopped on top that fell off immediately. The crab version did have a nice hunk of real crab in it, so I can't complain about that one. All in all a mediocre experience, which is too bad, because a lot of the diners here are out-of-town hotel guests that might not get to experience the great cuisine Atlanta has to offer. I was excited to try the pie bar since it sounds so unique but it was nothing special. I was also really disappointed in the fried chicken given that it is the signature dish.
