Having one place that can handle all things fireplace/chimney related is great, especially since Preston was able to do some stone/masonry work to seal some cracks in the stone work on the fireplace. read more

Preston came out to clean my dryer vents and the chimney. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Preston was thorough, explain things in terms I could understand, and totally cleaned up after himself. Preston did not try to upsell or oversell me, and even explain some things that I did not need. Sweeps N Ladders I called to get repair on my gas fireplace. I got unprofessional reception. Baby in the background. It took some time for her to say hello totally unprofessional. I asked her was I calling a business or a home? Then I told her that the flames was only coming out of one hole. She said unfortunately, we don't fix that. When I called another fireplace repair, they said that is a basic part of repairing a gas fireplace. read more

I needed to have my chimney, firebox, and gas logs inspected for any issues as well as being cleaned. JAY was terrific! He was on time, professional, congenial, and extremely knowledgeable. Jay gave me a lot of great advice on how to manage my fireplace, gas logs, and recommended a plug-in CO2 detector near the fireplace because of a previous CO2 emission issue. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They repaired both chimneys several years ago replacing flashing and a cap, . . . their work was competitively priced and done well. I called them recently when the cladding was coming of a chimney. The response was great. . . they came out promptly, replaced rotten trim, resealed and painted. Don't bother. Their website talks all about how gas fireplaces need yearly inspection and cleaning. When you call to make an appointment they don't actually work on gas fireplaces and only clean wood burning fireplaces. The girl that answered the phone couldn't answer simple questions and seemed annoyed to even be asked or to be answering the phone. Reporting to BBB for false advertising as well read more

I had two different companies come out to check my chimneys; one said '...the flashing is horrible, if you let me make this $2,500 repair today, I'll give you 10% off'. Naw, let me get a second opinion. Next company '...the flashing looks good, but let me tell you about the brick and mortar...they're horrible. Let me make this $3,500 fix today and I'll give you 10% off'. Then I call Sweeps N Ladders. They send Adam W. to perform an inspection. Adam shows up on time and is very professional. He gets on the roof, checks both chimneys and shows me pictures where both have no issues. While Sweeps N Ladders didn't get the work this time, they have made a customer for life! Just bought a home and had these guys come out to sweep the chimney and clean the dryer vent. They were on time, worked quickly and so cleanly and were very thorough in explaining everything to us. Plus, we needed a chimney cap and they discussed options, quotes and offered services for other vents on the roof that are needed as well. So friendly! Excellent Company. We just moved into our house (built 1993) and wanted the fireplace inspected before using. 1st contractor wanted $3,200, said it was not safe to use. Next contractor came in, shot a camera up the flue and said there were cracks, $1,800 to repair. Sweeps N Ladders came in, checked all gas line connections, repaired and painted back slab and moved burner to front of the fireplace, had it up and running beautifully for $179. He said I could get new logs if I wanted them, but the current ones were fine. Highly recommend this company. Needed my chimney cleaned so I did some checking around and decided Sweeps N Ladders would be a good place to start. Office gal was pleasant and fixed me up with an appointment a week out. Thomas showed up on time, swept the chimney, and then got up on the roof to inspect it. Everything looked good. He took some pictures to show me how things are aging on my 44 year old chimney and mentioned what his company can do to resolve issues that will inevitably come up in the future. Based on my experience with Thomas I will be calling Sweeps N Ladders first for any chimney maintenance and repair. read more

This was going to end up a totally different review... I initially called Sweeps N Ladders in Feb and had one of the workers come out and give me an estimate. I decided to move forward with them after the received quote. After calling them and speaking to someone about setting up an appointment to do the work, no one ever contacted me back. I let that go and finally scheduled an appointment. I then had them miss 2 other scheduled appointments which really had me disheartened. I then contacted them and told them just to cancel everything. Paul contacted me and expressed his sincere apologies. He wanted to make it right. I gave him that chance and I am glad that I did.
