This place is a fine place to stop for brunch. The service is nice and quick, but it's small so if you don't have a reservation you're either going to face a length wait or grab a seat at the bar. We went on a Saturday, which is of course a busy brunch day. When we got there, there were almost no people seated at any of the tables, but because of reservations coming in my husband and I had to sit at the bar, which was fine, but a lot of the tables stayed empty pretty much the whole time we were there. I'm pregnant so sitting at the bar wasn't super comfy, and would have been nice to sit at one of the very many empty tables. The food was fine! I ordered the avocado toast, which had a lot going on, but not a whole lot of flavor. Could definitely use some more seasoning, or maybe some more interesting bread. My husband got the burger which seemed good, but it came with this grain salad that was DELICIOUS. I wish I had gotten it as my meal. read more

Had an outstanding dinner at Sweet Grass last night. Started with AMAZING eggplant fries and a cold grilled asparagus salad for appetizers. Seasoning on the fries was unexpected and so delicious. The salad was refreshing with bits of melon and nice dijon dressing. For main course, I had the grilled salmon and my husband had the half roasted chicken on a bed of beans with garlic. Both dishes were outstanding. Our server was Andrew, and we ate outside, as the entire street was closed for all the restaurants to practice safe distance seating. Our thanks to Tarrytown! Came here during the film fest and it was extremely busy - my boyfriend and I were able to get a seat at the bar and receive amazing service from the hardworking bartender. Amazing bloody Mary's - the perfect Sunday morning cure! I got the tempeh buffalo sandwich with their veggies hash and my boyfriend got the chicken club with the hash as well. We left full and satisfied! This restaurant has outdoor seating as well, that is smack dab in the middle of tarrytown's Main Street. A definite go to! read more

I came here for the first time yesterday and it was a very pleasant experience. I'm not sure if they are taking walk-ins because we did make a reservation and the restaurant is not too big and they filled up quickly. My review is based on the brunch menu, we tried the eggplant fries which were surprisingly delicious! I'm not a huge eggplant fan but I'm glad I decided to try it out they were freshly made and the flavors went well together (there was some honey drizzled on top). They do have gluten free and vegan options available. The pumpkin pancakes were delicious the pecan sauce resembled a cinnamon roll glaze so it is sweet but balanced well with the pancake. The cheeseburger I ordered was delicious as well, it was juicy and flavorful. I wish I had tried the vegan burger it looked delicious. The staff was very professional, polite and attentive. Had a late dinner with a friend after seeing a set at Jazz Forum. I'm not a full- time vegetarian but am perfectly happy eating vegetarian. The quinoa/kale/sweet potato burger was really worth eating. So many veggie burgers fail completely but this one ticked every box- great combination of flavors, awesome texture, well-seared. It came on a house-made bun that was notably better than the average burger joint bun. Even the garnishes were great. Service is great as well as the space. Went in for brunch after a hike in Cold Spring and was pleasantly surprised by the short wait time at peak hours (1230 Saturday). The portions run a little small but dishes are good - had the black bean Benedict and avocado Bruschetta. The latter was filling. Didn't get a chance to order other items but interested in trying things out. This is a unique place. My daughter is vegan so sometimes our choices are limited. I agree, we shouldn't have to put her dietary concerns ahead of the other 4 of us, but we just want to make it easy. For the main course I ordered the scallops. Being from Long Island, I love seafood, and these scallops were outstanding. What really completed the meal, was the service. I came here about a month ago with my boyfriend and we were able to do outdoor seating. We started off with the delicata squash & burrata, which we always love. For my entree I had the Chipotle BBQ "Pulled" Squash with onions added on. As a recent vegetarian, that's something I've been missing so I was happy to see this option. The pulled squash itself was really good but the roll it was on would have been better if toasted. For my drink I had the basil gimlet, which was light and refreshing. One of the best burgers I've had. Salmon - ask for extra miso glaze as it's only drizzled on (not glazed on the fish); otherwise, fresh and delicious Unfortunately, this is probably farmed salmon. Wish it was wild coho or sockeye salmon. Mussels - fresh PEI shellfish! The bouillabaisse was a bit salty and over powered by the fennel. Otherwise, flavorful. Avocado bruschetta - Should be called Blackbean bruschetta. Too much black beans and not enough guacamole! When cheapie on the avocado, the more expensive ingredient. What a shame. We then had the heirloom tomato salad, the burrata which came with awesome infused grapes, and then the fried heirloom tomato main course. Such a GREAT spot! They're food is fresh and service excellent. I happen to be there on a late rainy afternoon. From my understanding the place can get pretty crowded. The food hit the spot and the service was lovely. The decor plays up the simple and clean minimalist vibe. It has lovely plant details. This is a fantastic dining option in Tarrytown. We grabbed brunch on the morning of our Kykuit (Rockefeller estate) tour, and it was a wise choice. Sweetgrass Grill is really a charming little spot with outdoor seating for warm weather, yet with ample space indoors as well. The service was efficient and they even start you off with "chocolate" bread, which is actually pretty tasty, if sticky to the touch, like a cinnamon bun. Well, not that sticky.... regardless, it was memorable and we enjoyed it. The brunch menu is better than decent, offering up some staples like eggs, breakfast meat, grits and pancakes, etc (http://sweetgrassgrill.com/id27.html). But the use of local ingredients is noticeable and makes your meal a touch more organic and wholesome. They even serve fresh carrot juice, which was surprisingly delicious. I'd definitely come back if I ever find myself in the area again. My egg-white spinach omelet was good, and the roasted vegetable hash was a nice change of pace, but my bf's enormous bowl of grits ("Farmer's Breakfast") oozed of a perfect blend of salty and creamy deliciousness. Loved this place! We were in town for the weekend and were looking for a good Sunday brunch spot that we can take our parents to. This place was perfect! We didn't have a reservation but they were able to sear he (6 people) after a short 20 Minutes or so wait. Would like to give a big shout out to the bar tender Amber. She was talented and so much funn! I usually hate bloody Mary's and somehow I loved hers! It was my first! The other drinks on the menu were delicious as will (gingerbread martini and pumpkin martini- sooooooooo good). The food was also delicious! Crab cakes Benedict were sooo darn good. We stopped in on a complete whim on our last morning in Sleepy Hollow. Mostly for the fact that they had crab Benedict on their menu. The boyfriend was to busy drooling over the beer menu to care about food. Nice surprise to find out its farm to table. I really had no idea this was the case when stopping in. The bright orange egg yokes gave it away :). Once I broke the first yoke I turned to my boyfriend to mouth the words "FARM FREASH". He couldn't care less. I almost couldn't wait until our server came back to rave about the amazing scones (with APPLE JAM), sweet potato "home fries" and the perfect damn eggs. Even their bacon was stupid good. He chuckled when I told him I could hug him.. He looked as though he gets that often. As a side note - I hopped on their web page to check out their menu further. The bartender/waitress was very nice, friendly and personable. Her name was Domenica. She made the experience a good one. However, the hostess (young, dark haired girl) was not nice at all and although there were several empty tables that remained empty for the 1 1/2 hours that we were there she refused to seat us at a table because we arrived late for our reservation. I understood that at first but did ask a couple of times to be seated if a table became available and although more tables kept clearing up she refused. Under normal circumstances we would not have stayed given her poor treatment and customer service but it was a place we promised to take a friend who wanted to try it out for her bday brunch. Unfortunately this failed. My party sat down around 6 pm, ordered around 6:15 and we waited 1.5 hours for food. When we asked if the staff could check on the food, we couldn't get anyone's attention. It was like if everyone was avoiding our party? Strange huh. And I could definitely tell since their backs were always turned away from our table... When the food was brought out, the hot dishes were cold, and it tasted alright, but definitely not good enough to make up for it. So I don't know what happened but this just wasn't it. We recently moved to the neighborhood from Manhattan and just started trying out the restaurants around. My husband took me here on a date last night and I loved this little place. We ordered the avocado starter from their daily specials and it was delicious! The complimentary bread comes with a buttery dipping which was awesome! I ordered the half honey lemon chicken and it was tender and juicy. The side veggies are also quite tasty. My husband ordered the pork chop, it came with a big generous portion and the flavor was ok. I am not a big pork chop fan because it is easily to be a little bit dry. The best pork chop I ever had in New York was from Gramercy Tavern which happens to be one of my favorite restaurants. This one was just ok, and my husband loved my chicken more. I was very happy with the service overall the whole night and I liked the window seat a lot. It is a decent place for you to spend a night out with your love, family or friends. Will definitely come back some other time. read more

It's cramped, but cozy and offers a mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian more foodie oriented options. We had free apple muffins, so warm and nice. Then a glass of wine for $10, the buffalo Tempeh sandwich and quinoa sweet potato eggs benedict. The tempeh with a mock blue cheese dressing was very nice and I chose the veggie hash which was cooked potatoes, sweet potatoes, onion and pepper. Very good! The eggs Benedict was a little bland, but still nice. I liked the veggie options and felt like the food was healthier than most restaurants without sacrificing anything. read more

Our first stop on our vacation to grab a quick bite and we were pleasantly surprised by how great everything was. Greeted with a smiling face is always a good way to start off, getting seated within seconds and having our ordered taken a few minutes following that. We decided to go for Mac and Cheese, and a black bean burger. I can honestly say that this was the absolute BEST mac and cheese I've ever had in my life and I've had a lot! Almost stopped back in before our trip back home to enjoy it one more time. We just didn't have the time. Love that all the food used is locally grown and farm to table.
