It was so nice to see a new dessert shop open up in Coquitlam that serves both hot and cold desserts. I tried the Papaya Grass Jelly + Honeydew Sago + Mango Pomelo Sago + Baked Smash Durian Tapioca Pudding and out of the four I would recommend the Mango Pomelo Sago. It had good flavour and just the right sweetness. The rest will be a no go for me next time. I was a bit of a dissapoinment that the Papaya and Melon ones were watery and the sago in the two were clumpy. I was expecting more of a chilled puree of the fruits rather than water down juice. But I will have to give a shot at their other items next time. Their tofu seems quite popular that they sell out by the late afternoon the day I went so might have to go with that one next!

Store is only open for take out at this time. I decided to order a couple drinks for the trip home. I got a coconut juice with sago and grass jelly drink. Drink was made well and tasted as expected. There was a strong coconut flavour which I liked. Prices are a bit on the higher side.

The hashbrown bites were nice and crispy. Their doughnuts all looked enticing, but I picked the wrong one. I chose creme brulee, which had a hard icing on top. It was crunchy, which did not go well with the pillowy soft doughnut. I peeled the entire top off, but enjoyed the vanilla filling. Although I didn't like this doughnut, I could tell it was freshly baked and I would return to try their other flavours. There was only 1 woman working in the cafe and she was so friendly. The interior is aesthetically pleasing and seating is comfortable. I went early on a weekday morning so I was able to find street parking, however finding parking could be challenging, especially on the weekend.

Croque monsieur, 4/5 (kids' favourite). I also ordered an oat milk latte with vanilla syrup, which was 5/5. Really good latte!!! While their pastries/cakes are on the pricier side, the quality was really good. The dark chocolate raspberry mousse ($8.25) was decadent and rich without being overly sweet and honestly their canele tasted pretty much like the one I had in France! The matcha latte here (~$5.50) also was better (less milky and had a stronger matcha flavour) than some other cafes in the area. Overall, a pretty solid cafe in the Coquitlam area though you might need to check ahead for pastry availability.

Interior not that big, but for a dessert place it's not too small, with some trendy interior. . Was pretty lively and busy on a random weeknight, but maybe because holiday period where students are out of school, but we snagged an open table before the place got full. Order at the counter and they'll call your number to get the food. Waited for 5 mins for our order. We got the red bean bingsoo. Pretty substantial serving of shaved ice with red bean, shaved almond, raisin, and other toppings. I like that the toppings weren't super sweet, but they also give a small cup of condensed milk to up the sweetness. Portion is definitely for sharing unless you want to eat dessert for a meal.

The shaved milk ice itself wasn't very saturated or creamy, and there was a lot of cocoa powder, which made it taste kind of dry overall. I didn't leave feeling super satisfied. That said, the service was great! The staff was really friendly and honest -- when I asked about the mango bingsoo, the person helping us let me know the mangos weren't ripe yet and might taste a bit tart, which I appreciated. Also, there's plenty of seating, so it's a nice place to hang out and chat without feeling rushed.

I felt like the two was basically the same with the exception one has greentea powder and the other had soybean powder. I find the shaved ice here a lot more dense and of course it makes it a lot more filling compared to bingsoo at other places. The greentea bingsoo was my favorite. It had a nice flavor. There are greentea powder in the middle of the dessert. The greentea cake on the side was not bad. It was also nothing special. I have a feeling they probably didn't make those cube cakes inhouse. The Injeolmi bingsoo is probably something that I won't order again. Don't get me wrong, it was not bad. I am just not big on rice cake. The powder on the Injeolmi bingsoo was quite interesting. It had a nice smoky flavor to it. Both bingsoo was topped with redbeans. In terms of decor, the place is nothing fancy. It has tables and chairs so you can definitely dine in. The place is also a bit hidden behind a bus stop. The place can easily be missed.

We were told that each person sitting at the table would have to spend a minimum of 5$ just to sit in the restaurant. We asked if then they could make it a togo order so we could eat it outside and she denied that as-well. It was beautiful especially signage. I particularly loved the giraffe. The inside is not big, but it doesn't feel tight. They also have outdoor seating which was nice. Although it was busy, the accommodating service never lacked. So happy to see people enjoy what they do! I ordered the ube matcha with macadamia milk. I didn't even know macadamia nuts could turn into milk!! But it's become my favourite milk alternative. The drink itself was a perfect balance of all 3. I find that usually one over powers the other, but the ube, matcha, and milk all came through. I also ordered the mini cupcakes and they were just right. The cupcake flavours change daily which is great as you will never get tired of it (they post the flavours on their ig story). We also could not leave without the malasadas which was fluffy and creamy and not too sweet! Overall a great experience. Will definitely come back the next time I visit.

We were pleasantly surprised that they offer guests access to their full drink menu including their specials. Ube matcha was good, but had a hint of cinnamon which we could have gone without. The matcha mango was also good. The blackberry lavender matcha was too floral for our liking. However, eventually you get used to it and then it becomes more enjoyable. The pandesals were super fresh and we loved both the ube and strawberry butters that came with it. I wish that they came a bit warmer, so that the butters could have melted a touch. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 sandwiches. I especially loved the arugula on the mozerella sandwich. The blackberry brie sandwich could have used a touch more brie, but was still delicious. The cheesecakes were good, but a bit too sweet. The strawberry was my favorite. I enjoyed tasting multiple flavors. Their red velvet cupcake was extremely moist. The pistachio malasada was cute and flavorful. The filling to pastry ratio was good. I think that the experience could have been better balanced if there were a few more savory items. One thing that we noticed was that all of the pastries including the malasada were cold. I can understand that there are some food safe requirements that need to be met in how desserts are stored. However, letting them sit out for even 20-30 minutes before consumption would have been better.
