The sauce was pretty taste though and the egg was certainly cooked perfectly. They also make an exquisite Bloody Mary. The souffled eggs are kind of an acquired taste. Stopped in on a Saturday morning around 10/10:30 and there was already a line around the corner. It moved pretty fast, I think we only ended up waiting 15/20 minutes. Service is very friendly and you can bring your pup on the patio! The patio was nice and on the more secluded side since we sat away from the street. Not sure who the seats out in front are though. The food comes out fairly quickly and there is parking, 90 minutes free with validation! We ordered the French toast, omurice, and Korean fried chicken. All were tasty but I think the KFC stood out the most. Tastes like a honey/soy/garlic saucy fried chicken that isn't soggy and stayed crispy throughout the meal. Very cute brunch place with amazing decor inside. Definitely fits your weekend brunch vibes! Interestingly, Sweet Maple has a large menu with a lot of dishes that have an Asian fusion/twist to it! My girlfriend got a "Tornado Galbi Omurice" and there were a lot of other Asian-inspired dishes such as korean fried chicken and some sort of upscale fancy cup ramen dish. I noticed throughout my time here that a lot of the employees were speaking Thai. My server today was in training as one of his supervisors was standing behind him, helping him out and whispering some advice in Thai haha. He was a really nice guy and the service was very attentive. We ordered a few dishes including their famous "Millionaire's Bacon," the omurice, Chicken Croffle, and a side of fries. After ordering, the food came out really soon, interestingly enough - probably within 5-10 minutes. I was surprised to be honest with how quick it came. To make these dishes should usually take a bit more time and, while I'm appreciative of the quick service, it made me suspicious that the food was not made upon order. The food definitely has a "wow" factor with its presentation. This place is amazing at its first impressions and overall design and presentation. However, I'm afraid that's where the impressiveness ended for us. The food wasn't bad, but the flavor of all of the dishes did not match the high expectations from the presentation. Furthermore, much of it didn't match the almost $30 price tag per dish. Honestly, our favorite thing that we ordered were the fries. The Millionaire's Bacon was good - thick, caramelized bacon with a sweet yet savory taste; however, it wasn't hot. It just barely passed the standard of being acceptable in terms of temperature. The taste was there but was definitely diminished because of the lukewarm temp. The chicken croffles had the most impressive presentation with three pieces of fried chicken placed atop a pressed croissant/waffle. Good portion size, however, again lacking in flavor. Again, the food wasn't bad! It just wasn't impressive and, therefore, didn't warrant a ~$30 price tag. My girlfriend's omurice was also lacking in flavor unfortunately as well. Overall, great service and good presentation, just that the dishes didn't meet the high expectations I had, given the presentation. Came for brunch with a group of friends and it was fairly empty (~1 pm on a weekend). We all loved the dishes we tried, and everything was served in literally 10 minutes. We also opted for bottomless brunch, and that was super fun. Our server was super quick with refills, to the point that she came to the table if even one glass was running low. The omurice was had a mild curry sauce with some soft almost shredded beef galbi and pickled onions. Wow. This was one of the best breakfasts that I've had in Los Angeles this year. It's an Asian fusion brunch centered restaurant just off of Ocean Boulevard on the coastal side of Santa Monica. Inside is really bright and spread out well and quite large. There are many different seating areas and seating type options from table to booth. Our server was really polite and everything that we ordered came out really fast. It is a bit expensive compared to some other places around town but that's to be expected with this level of quality and the location. Parking in this area can be tricky. I would suggest coming early because your only option is paid street parking or a pay lot further away. They have a ton of unique options on this menu. A lot of classic dishes but also a lot that I had never heard of or tried. My favorite breakfast dish to order is Eggs Benedict so I went with the Benedict Oscar. I chose it because I love Dungeness Crab and capers so when I saw that combo, I knew it was my choice. I loved every bit of it even though the scone at the bottom was kind of a different experience and would not be my number one choice overall, it was very good. We also ordered the Millionaire's Bacon, which is two very large thick cut slabs of bacon with a glaze and seasoning. It was very good although quite expensive for almost $16. I also ordered a Caramel Latte and it was nice but in a pretty small cup. Overall I would highly recommend and plan to be back in the future to try more items. read more

My best friend and I planned a food crawl with 2 museums added in for educational value as a double date for the whole day. This was the start of our adventure. There was a variety a food options from Asian to European, to American and all were awesome. The garlic honey fried chicken and the marnier French toast is a must order cause you can share those. I went with the omurice and damn, it was so good. The servers were all wearing millionaires bacon shirts so I got that and was impressed.
