Cream Anmitsu with Lemon Ice Cream
    Cheryl G.

This was the only ice cream option we could find close to our hotel and it was still 90° in the evening. It's located inside of an Asian street food market that has the potential to be cute but when we were there, it was kind of empty and sad. The Cream Amnitsu had a really really interesting flavor. I loved the first few bites of it and then was overwhelmed by the sweetness. The milk ice cream was very good, but I ordered the option that was supposed to come with the chocolate sauce and brownie bits. There was no brownie, and the sauce was straight up Hershey out of the bottle. I should have gotten the croffle- it's what I really wanted, but I thought it would be too much to eat at that time in the evening. Also, even though the lady at the counter seem friendly enough, she didn't have any ready to go, and I felt bad asking at the end of the day.

3.5 Stars. Came to Sweet Moon for dessert. It was the only dessert-oriented place open after 7 PM in downtown Seattle on a Saturday that was not in the middle of a tourist center. Service is ordering via a iPad. Ambiance is food hall vibe. I ordered the lemon cream anmitsu. The presentation was fun, and it had a sweet flavor. The dessert has a base layer of boba, followed by sliced strawberries, peaches, oranges, another jelly (not sure what flavor), crunchy sprinkles, and a small scoop of lemon-flavored ice cream. On the side, there's a small cup of pancake (maple?) syrup. Cost was about $8 without tip. Interesting combo.

Service is definitely slow. I ordered a strawberry Sando, which was premade and sitting behind glass display, and still had to wait 10 minutes for the server to get to my order. There seems to only be one girl serving all the orders, so makes sense on why it's very slow. As for the Strawberry sando: the bread and cream are good, but the strawberries are not fresh. They feel like they've been sitting out for a while. I've definitely had better. But it's good if you cannot find a strawberry sando and you really want one. The cafe itself is situated in the Asean Streat Food Hall, which is a mall food court. It's decorated in a cute way, which I like. There's also places to sit around the cafe, like in a typical food mall food court.

The croffle is so good! we tried the tirimisu and the biscoff one and it was actually pleasantly so delicious. the croissant flakey texture really came through in the waffle and the biscoff wasn't stale or anything. the two people owning and running the shop are so sweet too :") it's located up the stairs of the asean streat food hall (in the same place just up half a flight up stairs. I thought it was up the mall area but it's not)

Was looking for a boba place that was still open and stumbled on this store in the Asean Food Hall. I ordered from the kiosk at the entrance and waited in front of their storefront located up the steps further in the food hall. The milk tea was just alright, more like a ceylon tea flavor or earl grey tea flavor than a regular black milk tea. Half sweet was still too sweet and the boba was a little bit on the softer chewy side but it was late so I didn't expect a fresh batch. It doesn't seem like people order their drinks as much as the croffle but it is available if you are willing to try.

Initially was a little hard to find, but eventually found the location. Yummy treats and drinks and the lady working was very nice. It did take a bit for her to make the drink/food but was well worth the wait. There is lots of seating and adjacent restaurants.

We came across this place in Seattle while browsing through downtown. Located in the same Asean StrEATs Food Hall. There were many eateries within this food hall, but since we were going to a dinner at 7, I was looking for more of a snack. I came across Sweet Moon that sells Asian desserts and drinks. There was so much to choose from. I ended up ordering the Oreo Croffle. Its a Korean trendy dessert that is baked croissant dough in a waffle maker topped with whipped cream and toppings. This was my first time trying this and boy was it a surprised. Shared this with my friends and they enjoyed it as much as I did. The croffle was crunchy, moist, flavorful, and topped enough with oreos and whipped cream. After our dinner we came back here to order more of these croffles and tried the Strawberry Croffle, Banana Nutella Croffle, and Tiramisu Croffle. They all tasted amazing. The wait took awhile as it is made when ordered, also there is only one person making all orders that come through as well as taking the order. They workers were friendly and very helpful. Would love to come back here again just for these Croffles :)

First time being here as we wanted to the visit ASEAN STREET FOOD HALL. From where we entered, they guide you to order at the self-serve ordering stations. On the ordering screen, didn't have pictures of the items or descriptions so we went with what was labeled 'popular'. Let this be a caveat to the rating. Later found out, that could actually order at the actual shop counter for Sweet Moon. Wonder if that would've made a difference in getting our orders timelier. FOOD/DRINK Overall feeling was underwhelming and a bit overpriced. FRENCH HOT CHOCOLATE ($7.85) was about a 12-ounce cup of thick, sweet chocolate. Chocolate tasted great but couldn't have it all as a drink. We asked for some milk in another cup to dilute because there's no way we could drink that completely on its own. LOTUS CROFFLE - this is what saved this place to having a 3-star rating and not lower. We love biscoff cookies and spreads, that some may have come to enjoy, so this was nice to have as a waffle with some thick, sweet cream along with caramel and cookie crumbles on top. Note to self: order regular coffee or a simple latte to go with this. KAKIGORI - CHIANGMAI ICE. Size was smaller than expected. They give the mango sauce on the side where you can pour over yourself. Decent, but average. Not much toppings. HONEY TOAST - SHIBUYA. Not as thick/tall as other honey toasts I've had but the flavor is there. Strawberries were sweet and aside from that, delicious, but average. If you like strawberries, then this is your dish. SERVICE. It was a Saturday and very busy. Perhaps they just wanted to make things as best as they can but seriously needed to pick up the pace. We waited a while for ours and needed to remind them many times. They acknowledged it but still the same thing that we ordered we're being called for numbers much later than ours? AMBIANCE. At Sweet Moon itself, they're clean and just have a handful of seats. It's a cute place to have dessert if you can can score a seat in the space. As far as where we sat in the middle of the hall seating area, the place has it's food hawker style vibe and bright decor as multi-colored crates hung from the ceiling. The food hall surely has a loud buzz with the weekend crowd cramped in the smaller than imagined seating area. Willing to try to visit again and try the other food stalls there as some of the stalls we passed looked and smelled amazing.

Sweet Moon is a rare exception for us; we usually don't revisit the same spots for food. However, we found ourselves going there multiple times for quick dessert pick-me-ups, and each visit was delightful. Their Oreo Croffle, Mango and Sticky Rice, Osaka Delight, and more were all enjoyed thoroughly.

The croffles were not overly sweet which was great and they tasted delicious. I got the matcha and the tiramisu and I can't stop thinking about them!!

So many yummy sounding treats, but I think I chose all the wrong things. I wanted to try a Croffle (croissant waffle), and decided on the Banana Nutella one, but they were out, and just went with the Lotus Biscoff one. I thought it said on the menu that it came with whipped cream, but it was more of the heavy sweet cream. So, the cream was a bit too sweet and too much for me on the croffle. And not sure if it's supposed to be warm, but I think it would have tasted better warm. I've had croissant waffles before, and I felt like the texture of this one was a bit hard and dry. It was really hard to cut into pieces with a fork; had to use my fingers to help rip apart. I also got a strawberry bubble tea, but I didn't realize it would be a milk tea instead of a fruit tea bubble tea. I don't like milk teas, so I didn't end up drinking it. Also got a cup of the soft serve ice cream, and with that, we were able to enjoy the whole thing. I'd give the place another chance and try something else.

First, the negatives that didn't affect my rating: parking is a pain, but that's expected for this neighborhood in Seattle. Seating is also very cramped and tight during the dinner rush. Annoying, yes, but understandable. What did affect the rating was the food itself. The Oreo brownie bingsu looked beautiful, but honestly it just was not very good. I've had much better bingsu elsewhere, even at chains like Snowy Village. It felt more Instagram-worthy than actually enjoyable. The mango cheesecake crepe was even worse. My friend and I literally scraped all the filling off and just ate the crepe itself because the toppings tasted so artificial. The mangoes tasted frozen, the syrup was overly sweet and processed tasting, and the whole thing lacked freshness. For the price, it was genuinely disappointing. The final bill ended up being over $40, which would have been easier to justify if the desserts were memorable, but they really weren't. One last thing: I don't mind tipping when there's actual service involved, but this is essentially counter service where customers are also expected to clear their own trays afterward. Having the tipping screen pop up at checkout after that experience just felt excessive and awkward.

The soup was really amazing. I don't often like tomato soup but this was the exception. Chunks of tomato and a full flavor without a lot of spices. The crème brûlée was warmed and freshly caramelized on top. This is not made in advance and just refrigerated which seems to be more common these days. The hot chocolate hit the spot!
