We popped in one our way through town and it was well worth the time! We split a cabana chocolate doughnut and it may have been the best yeasted doughnut I've ever had! Great mix of fluffy and chewy. And we also got a chocolate chip cookie sandwich. My husband said it was better than his childhood memories of the cookie store in the mall.

Searching for a cake that is both dairy-free AND gluten-free in Jacksonville can be a challenge. We had a plethora of options in the Washington DC area, but there were only a handful of options in Jacksonville. I hadn't been to Sweet Theory in decades (since my move away), but all of my friends kept singing its praises. So I knew this was the place to order our wedding cake. Sweet Theory doesn't specialize in wedding cakes, but we dressed up a simple cake with edible flowers and a cake topper (both of which we purchased ourselves). Originally I wanted to use a cake wrap, but unfortunately, the one I ordered had ink that bled and ruined the design. Sweet Theory communicated this issue ahead of time and they were able to add a simple texture to the sides of the cake. Sometimes less is more. The cake came out gorgeous and tasted absolutely delicious! I am really impressed with the kind and helpful staff at Sweet Theory and will definitely use them for future cake purchases in Jacksonville. The bakery itself feels like grabbing a snack in your home kitchen. They sell a good variety of dairy-free and gluten-free donuts and brewed coffee.

This store is amazing! They are gluten, nut, and dairy free. All their items are extremely yummy! I can't believe how good they are. The only thing not gluten free are the doughnuts

My favorite donuts and baked goods in town! I ordered some cakes and had a tea party with my friends and was blown away with the flavors. My favorite thing there is just the classic donut and the cinnamon roll, but they have such creative combinations. A must try!

This is the best bakery in town hands down. The donuts are insanely good! All other sweets are gluten free! So if you have any gluten sensitivity this is the place to go. Also, the fake bacon is actually really good definitely a must try.

if you're vegan or just like vegan food done right or eat gluten-free, you'll like this place. The double down breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel was delicious. I loved the coconut bacon. The Homer donut was super good too. Service was ok. The cashier seemed kind of short when taking our order.

Yes! My Club Chick was on point and a perfect way to start the morning. Customers were ordering a little bit of everything today and the Yoga pants cupcake is my favorite for sure - but I chose to be good today. The line was to the door per usual but the service was still swift. Honestly, It's like they kept bringing endless goodies from the back and it was just too early for me to binge sweets . I love that they are quick and efficient and the staff will take the time to answer all dietary questions. This a great sweet treat place for my vegan or even non-vegan counterparts. The atmosphere is inviting and pleasantly quaint. You just gotta try them to understand the hype. They are known to sell out early so just come in at a decent hour to secure the goods. lol

If you are a vegan or gluten free, this place is a must try! Everything here is vegan and a majority of the baked goods are gluten free. All employees are always super knowledgeable of allergies and able to educate you on what products are safe for you. My best tip is beware this place stays very busy. I don't remember the last time I went when there on a Saturday and there wasn't a line out the door. Also keep in mind they are closed on Sunday and Monday!

Stopped here this morning for breakfast! The cinnamon bun was one of the best I've had! Service was friendly! The café was clean. There are only a few tables for sitting. We sat outside and it was nice. Definitely recommend their cinnamon bun and I give it 5 stars.

I feel bad leaving this review, the woman working there was super nice, the items smelled delicious but they had a strange gummy consistency like squishy donuts, 3 of us had to dispose of our donuts all different kind and all 3 of us had the same reaction, the crumb cake was not delicious and unfortunately we had to dispose of all our items. They did seem fresh, just strange consistency and lacking in flavor. But it is a popular place so it seems the local public loves this place and that's all that matters, just wasn't for us. If you sr looking for light and fluffy donuts this is not the place for you. I have tried vegan and organic places throughout the USA and sad to say this comes in last place for me. I am sorry, I really wanted to like this place.

Wish I could give more The best Donut I've had in my life and that is very noteworthy because I am a donut snob!! Check my Yelp reviews and you'll see I can't resist trying new places and sharing the donut details with all of you!! So tender, so fresh, so light and the flavor was out of this world!! Matcha and salted caramel brownie. Wow' 5 Gotta come early because this place sells out!!

We had a 1st birthday party for my youngest, a few of the families attending have celiac disease, so to make sure all the kids could enjoy the birthday party I ordered from Sweet Theory. It was super easy as I was able to place an order online after reviewing their menu. I received a quote in a timely manner and scheduled a pick up date. I paid for the order in full a few days before the scheduled pick up date. When I arrived the staff had the order ready to go for me and helped me walk everything to the car. I ordered a variety of flavors from: lemon/lavender, vanilla birthday cake, lemon, & chocolate w/ salt Carmel. I was only able to try the smash cake as the cupcakes went so fast!!! Everyone talked about how delicious the cupcakes were. I LOVED the lavender cake, I will definitely order that again. Now I am interested in trying their other baked goods I always see on Instagram! Definitely a MUST try

It might be even better if they added a few raisins to it. We'll be back for this item periodically. We also tried a mango float ($6). It was good, and had more whipped cream in it than the one I'm used to, but I've probably had slightly better examples. For $6, it's not a great value: smaller than the cinnamon roll and not as good. I might get it again, but probably not at that price. This remains one of my favorite bakeries in town, and we'll be back periodically. Update: We tried another cinnamon roll. This time we thought it was fantastic, the best thing I've eaten in a long time. 25 seconds microwaved again. We'll have to get one periodically.

The next morning, we had the sausage and scallion bun at home. I liked it, maybe more than the pork bun, and would get it again, though it had the advantage of being reheated at home in the microwave. My wife liked the dough, the hot dog less so (and I must admit the hot dog in the croissant we had a while ago at Cruffin & Tea was better). I'd get this again, though probably trying the regular hot dog bun instead of the scallion one next time. I'd asked the server if she could reheat our items when I bought them, but she said no, and didn't seem to understand English well. So far, I've preferred the savory things to the sweets here. Each item was $3-3.25, so a better value than the other bakeries I go to. I will return to this place periodically, but I still prefer places like Cruffin & Tea and Le Petit Paris, so I'm giving Mai Xiang Garden Bakery an average rating, 3 stars: pretty good, but not above average for a bakery, other than the good value.
