Very good pizza! (See new pictures). We had a large cheese and a meat lovers pizza. Very delicious! We also got the goat cheese salad. My wife liked it very much. The pizza was extremely thin crust pizza. We liked it especially since we could mentally justify it by saying there were less carbs. :) Extremely convenient from where we were staying in East Harwich. Sweet Tomatoes is located in a very nice part of Chatham with convenient parking in front for pickup and more parking in the back. read more

Walked out. Was told that half the menu was unavailable because they were too busy. After repeatedly asking if different items were available for my twins and getting shot down, finally just asked if they could tell me what WAS available for them to eat. The exact response? "Not to sound like a jerk, but you're the mom, you should know what they eat." If you check out other reviews, you'll see that snippy comments and awful service are pretty much the norm for this place. I assume they stay in business because it's mostly tourists who won't go back anyway. My advice? Don't go in the first place. *Update* After posting this review to their Facebook page, they literally deleted all reviews from the page by removing the option. Seriously? They could've just apologized to at least give the appearance that they care about customer service. Good thing they can't delete reviews on yelp! Yikes. read more

When I first walked into what it seemed to be a dainty little pizza palace, I was unquestionably surprised at the odor of skunk and musty socks. I mean all I wanted was a slice of Hawaiian thin crust pizza. As a Latin American, I am disgusted and disappointed in the efforts of making this pizza. Rough start for us with Sweet Tomatoes. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and instead got a pizza with artichokes, sun dried tomatoes and some other "stuff". The kids were pretty disappointed. I stop in for lunch every time I'm in Chatham. I love the pizza, spinach and feta is my favorite. Despite the super thin crust, they manage to make it super crunchy too. The sauce is extra chunky and very good. But the best, by far, is the goat cheese salad!! This isn't a place for elegant dining. We have been coming up to the Cape for years and have stayed in Chatham for a while. We do not frequent Sweet Tomatoes but on this chilly cape night it was a good choice. The plum tomatoes are really good and i like that it's chunky. The cheese and sauce were light and it was crispy and tasty. Never ordered here before and thought I'd take a chance. SO LOVIN' IT! The Greek Pizza was very flavorful and you can tell it was a real homemade pizza (not a corporate-type pizza). The meat lover crust was thinner than the Greek (I guess the larger you make it, the thinner it gets) and was not firm enough to told the toppings so it was floppy. I could see maybe boosting the dollar amount of the meat lover's pizza to get more meat (I live with a carnivore) but this large meat lovers was fine for me. Sweet Tomatoes has a great selection of specialty pizza. Try the Sarah, it's amazing. The caramelized onions are perfection. I've never actually eaten at the restaurant, we always do take out, but the people I've ordered from have always been very polite and helpful. FYI, if you have whiny small children with picky eating habits (cough cough, I'm lookin' at you, my lovely little cousins) be aware that their cheese pizza has big chunks of tomato on it. Though they will helpfully keep those to a minimum if you ask. read more

Be forewarned that this is not at all like a traditional cheap New England pizza. Higher end ingredients and a little fancier of a style. Very bad experience here. Was told it would be an hour and fifteen minutes for a pizza so we ordered a slice and an order of meatballs for my seven year old. The meatballs had cheese sprinkled on top, she doesn't like cheese on top. My wife told him this and he rudely said, "What is she allergic or something?" Seems like most of the complaints in these reviews center on service. At a pizza place I don't know why people expect great service. This is New England, welcome to our pizza joints. I've eaten here twice now, and the pizza was elite both times: flavorful, sweet sauce (hence the name), copious toppings, and you can tell that they use really good flour in the crust.
