Upping my review and I will explain. Is this the best pizza? No. Is it ok? Yes. But on Valentine's night when we were back in Chatham, and when many, many other restaurants were closed, New England was open and doing their safe curbside pick up. It was a perfect Valentine dinner for us back at our cottage. Leftovers for lunch the next day. We watched a good movie and enjoyed with a nice red wine. It was a cold wintry weekend. New England pizza meant cheer and warmth. I hope all our favorite restaurants and pubs can open back up and we are grateful New England still has its ovens on. read more

We enjoyed the pizza here. My wife is a pizza maker and is keenly critical of crust, sauce, cheese, etc. While this was not the world's finest pizza, it was a surprisingly good product. A local friend recommended it to us, and we approved. We did take-out, so I can't say anything about service or decor. read more

Nothing like the old New England Pizza... very confusing concept to the restaurant. You walk In and there is a pizza counter where you can order food and sit and wait for it OR sit in the same dining room and get a waitress and order food from the Knots Landing. So you can eat from the restaurant with waitstaff or walk up and order your own food and eat in the same dining room (or another dining room)....if this sounds confusing, it is if you there! No one knows what to do when they walk in. We chose to walk up to the counter and order a Pizza, eggplant parm, and kids pasta. Took 40 mins+ !! We went up and the women at the counter to ask about our order and she sounded surprised we didn't get our food. Pizza was cold and nothing like the it used to be. 2 solid thumbs down. We also asked for parmigiana cheese and was given a shaker of it. When my daughter went to use she asked what the black stuff was in the shaker. It was mold!! We brought it to the counter and the male manager (?) was basically just like Oh well and gave us new cheese. We will not be back to this very confusing restaurant for poor quality food. read more

Nico & other dedicated staff stayed open after the Tornado to feed many hungry people w/o power. Ignore the haters. This is a CLASSIC. My family and my parents families have been coming in the summer for years. This is a family-owned place and without fail, they recognize us every summer even if it's been a few years in between. The pizza is delicious. Period. I am a resident of Chatham trying to support our local businesses as much as possible. This business is not worth supporting and I find the staff to be lacking in customer service in every way. They seem to have a knack for messing up orders and unable to take responsibility. The young boy who delivers the orders to your car is extremely rude, unable to admit fault. This is another Chatham establishment that is frozen in time. It's fun to come back here each summer and visit. Nothing much has changed in this pizza joint over the last few decades. This isn't NY pizza, it's more of a Greek style. Pizza is just ok in my opinion, but I grew up eating here, so I am used to it. Prices are a bit high, but not horribly overpriced. I am giving this restaurant a 2 because the woman/greeter, (taller blonde with short hair) had the most horrible customer service mannerism, (if you can even call it that). When we entered the restaurant on a Thursday night she didn't even make eye contact with us the entire exchange. After she took our to-go order, she demanded where we sit at the bar. Talking with her while she was taking our order made me feel like I was at Wal-Mart, only their staff have a better way with people. It made us feel horrible and not really wanting to give this business our money but at that point, we just wanted a pizza. The bar tender (female) was nice. The unfortunate thing is that the woman with the awful customer service is actually training a bunch of malleable younger staff who work there. Ladies, please don't emulate her salty attitude--she was the absolute worst!! Also, the pizza was not very good either. Solid. No complaints. Very dependable. Baby K and Pearl split one half of the large square cheese pizza, while Frau K and I split the other half, adding mushroom and onions. Not bad. My parents have been bringing me to summers in Cape Cod all my life. 35 years. We used to go to New England Pizza and we always enjoyed it. I think part of that was the fact that we NEVER went out to dinner around home, so the simple act of being on vacation and going out to dinner as a kid (both nice things) made for nice memories and meals. Over the last 10-15 years we've been trying different places in Harwich and Chatham. I still haven't really found a favorite. It is not like pizza in the tri state area (NY) where the good stuff is everywhere. So, we tried New England Pizza again yesterday. The pizza is a bit different than what we are used to - Greek style. The tomato sauce is unique but I kind of liked it, although some of my family did not. We also got an italian combo sandwich to split and it was nothing special, but the bread was pretty good. We took the food home. But I picked it up and while I kind of like the interior of this place - again, probably good memories - I consider it a detraction. Poorly ventilated. Decor very basic. Nice beer selection and a small bar which I think is relatively new (in the last 20 years!). The woman behind the counter I recognized. The arcade games and TVs have clearly had an upgrade. But in general it is the same old New England Pizza. Like I said, not bad. It's pizza! And among its competition in Chatham/Harwich it is definitely comparable and I think I'll go back a few more times. read more

Food is OK-good at best. Workers never seem to know what they are doing and constantly mess up orders. Also, we ordered a few weeks ago, and the next morning I threw up 3 times and felt sick all day. I don't know if it's from the food here, or just a coincidence, but I know that I won't be back. Only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the cheesy garlic knots, that's probably their best item. The lovely little owner Antigone went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and make sure our needs were met. Beer selection is very impressive, complete with a frosty mug. Stopped in for dinner with my wife and daughter on a Thursday evening. We were all tired of fried foods and French fries and wanted a change. This restaurant doesn't offer table service and you order at the counter and they'll call you up when it's ready. It's a nice size restaurant that has big screen tv's and alcohol. We ordered a 10 inch pizza with eggplant and two orders of the spaghetti and meatballs. It took approximately 25-30 minutes to get our food. There was nobody else there other than people doing takeout. The pizza was disappointing. It was bland with no taste. There wasn't much sauce on it which probably was the reason. I'm not a pizza snob and I've eaten bar pizzas, cafe pizzas, and frozen pizzas. This just didn't make the cut. The spaghetti and meatballs was a healthy portion with a good amount of meatballs. However, it was very basic. I must admit the sauce on the spaghetti was tasty and made the dish worth eating. The 4 garlic rolls were good and not to garlicky. The dining area was dirty. The tables were dirty as were the floors. Even the table we sat down at had crumbs all over the table. Somebody wasn't doing their job. Worst yet, the restrooms were outside around back near the dumpsters. My daughter told me they were absolutely disgusting. Dead flies and bugs included. I actually used to go here a lot. The owner made one heck of an italian sub, that's what hooked me in! The staff was always friendly and proffesional. Unfortunately, this past summer I had a bad experience. I had ordered an italian sub and a chicken cutlet sub - the italian had brown lettuce on it and was missing toppings. The LARGE chicken cutlet sub had one, yes just one chicken tender. When I am paying around $12 for a sub I would expect a good portion or even a fair portion for the price. When I go to buy food, especially from a restaurant, I expect to be satisfied and not feel as if I was just ripped off. read more
