An old reliable, can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. We've been coming to this place for years now, especially when my husband gets a craving for their version of egg omelette (which we can't really find anywhere - just basically egg and ground pork, but hits the spot). I usually get their ground chicken over rice with the egg on the side. Basic, okay food. We think service has actually improved over the years, which is good. My favorite was definitely the pad thai as it's a classic thai dish you have to get every time. The restaurant is situated in a busy lot but there's a bunch of parking so it shouldn't be too bad. I tried their sticky mango rice to go and it was super delicious. It was also a good portion. I ordered it to go and as you can see the presentation was super neat and made it easy to setup everything when I got home. The rice was still warm even it was for a to go order and the mango was super sweet. I would definitely recommend getting some condensed milk or evaporated milk to enhance the flavor even more. I had Chinese yesterday, the pho place on Pioneer had a line outside in the parking lot and for the final sad straw, the Filipino takeaway place is undergoing renovations. This was the next acceptable option for takeout. There weren't any people ordering at the counter and there was a very short wait for a table. I got the Hainan chicken : a bed of seasoned rice topped with slices of steamed chicken - rice had some undercooked bits although it was still flavorful. The Thai boat noodles comes with meatballs, tripe, sliced beef and a piece of liver . Your choice of thin or wide noodles. I asked for medium spicy but it came out as a little more like slap your mouth spicy! I enjoyed both items at home. I'll have to try other dishes next time. read more

This is a good Thai restaurant. Parking is pretty bad most of time as the plaza is shared with many businesses. Inside it's very clean and modern and the staff are friendly. Seating is all outdoors. No out door heaters so being a jacket. Food is just as good. But, the Penang Curry portion seemed smaller than what I've had at the Cypress location. Didn't take any photos of my dinner yesterday but they have a lot of options to pick from. I ordered the green curry with tofu (vegetarian for the day because of cyn). Great portions with a side of salad. Can pick anything with any type of meat (chicken, pork, beef, tofu). Great service. Waiter came to check up on us if we enjoyed our food and food came out in a timely manner. It was busy day because it is Lunar New Year, everyone is out to eat to celebrate the start of New Year. They need to give more credit to this place and increase their stars. If You are craving Thai food I recommend trying this place the value of it seems reasonable and the food portion sizes are large. For five dishes and one large Thai tea drink came out to be $100 The large drink is worth it after drinking it through the meal was still able to fill a 32 oz cup which is about halfway of the serving bottle. A little bit of delay for service but was able to sit immediately because of plenty of seating. Plenty of seating inside. The servers are nice and able to accommodate for certain items for instance if you want Mr cabbage for your papaya salad they will likely say yes. As for parking it's can be a little bit difficult to find since it's mostly packed even on rainy days. The restaurants in this plaza are pretty well known. Who is the recommend to eat here are papaya salad, orange chicken, and pad Thai. Definitely worth to get a Thai tea on ice drink large. read more

We usually go to another Thai spot but we always past this place up n decided to give it a go since the line was short. We didn't even wait 2 minutes and got seated right away and the staff was really friendly n all greeted us hello. This was my first time visiting Sweetee Thai Cafe and I ordered the chicken fried rice. The food came out quickly and the staff were very efficient. The portion of my dish was plentiful and it was tasty. I think the chicken could've been a little more browned, but it was delicious regardless. We are a group of 25- 30 people who eat out together once a month. SweeteeThai was able to accommodate us all on a Tuesday night with no problems. Our server was delightful and calm. She took all the orders and had help bringing out the food. She made recommendations, including help with how much food would be plenty. We were able to get individual or couples checks, importantant with such a large group. Water was refilled without being asked, more napkins arrived at the right time, and the server brought knives to the of us who needed them. The food was brought out hot and delicious. There were dishes on the menu that went beyond the usual pad Thai and chicken with vegetables. The interior is rather bland with virtually no decor and lots of high-school-cafeteria style tables and chairs. I ordered the orange chicken which came with a salad, rice and two crispy fried wontons. I also asked for some peanut sauce (my odd idiosyncrasy at Thai restaurants is putting it on my rice). Lastly, a Thai iced tea. Service was friendly and quick but minimally attentive as you'd expect at a casual table service place like this. My food came out in a little over 5 minutes. The chicken pieces were tender with a crispy coating and a slightly sweet sauce over it. No hint of citrus though. There was no heat to it but there wasn't suppose to be - I didn't want anything spicy. I've had this dish at other Thai places and thought this was above average. The wontons and salad were nothing to get excited over but the peanut sauce was excellent. So was the Thai tea. This is a decent spot when you are in the mood to enjoy Thai food. read more

Located towards the back of a strip mall is this hidden Thai food gem. This restaurant is also surrounded by other restaurants, however this place has survived the test of time and most importantly the 2020 pandemic. The food is really good, especially the charbroiled chicken salad. It's large enough to share for 3-4 people easily. The chicken is well seasoned and packed full of flavor. The yellow curry can be made to your level of spiciness, but the level of spiciness varies from person to person. Their medium was quite spicy, so just be aware. The large pieces of carrots, potatoes, and onions swimming in the curry with chicken was a real delight. The beef and broccoli is also good, just wish it was served with Chinese broccoli instead. The sauce is so yummy and will bring a smile to your face as you eat it. The staff is very polite and often comes by to make sure everything is going well. They'll also offer you a fresh plate as your plate gets covered by sauces and juices from your various dishes. I'd highly recommend dining with friends and family and eating "family style". Several different dishes for everyone to enjoy. The check can be a bit confusing when you receive it. The beverages are listed, then list again towards the bottom. Our favorite go to spot in Cerritos that's a well-loved family restaurant and Thai food craving is Sweetee Thai Cafe on South Street. Everything here is delicious! I would say though, it has become a bit expensive to eat here too. There prices have gone up a bit too much where 4 dishes composed of Garlic Chicken, Sizzling Beef, Soft Egg Noodle and Garlic Fried Rice will cost you $72-$77 range. That is a lot! However, no question their food is delicious. Parking, it's usually packed evenings therefore I would park at the side where the Grocery Store is at on Pioneer. They don't discriminate on paying customers, therefore they accept Cash and Credit! Seating service, to eat here is a popular place, therefore expect a wait at night.
