We came to order takeout on a Sunday afternoon, and the online ordering and in store pick up situation was very simple and easy. We luckily found parking right in front and the place was very aesthetic. I was sad to not see Valkyrae's custom salad available to order at this location, but I ordered my own custom salad with the same ingredients. It was really delicious as it is healthy, and my bf really loved his chicken tostada bowl as well. The blackened chicken for my salad was so flavorful and delicious. We would definitely come back when we are craving some healthy foods in the area. read more

I love this place! It's like being at a fancy salata. All of the ingredients are fresh, the place is clean and the staff is friendly. Their new system during covid was easy. You place your order on the app, pay, and it tells you when your order is ready. They had a stand set up outside, you just walk up tell them your name and they hand you your food. Easy peasy! My go to is the Harvest Salad without rice. They just introduced plates and I had to try it. I tried the Hot Honey chicken and it was really good! My chicken didn't look as brown or roasted as I wanted or how it's advertised but it was still good. All of the flavors blended well together. The quinoa was bland but I poured a little hot honey sauce on it and boom it was banging. The portion size was bigger than I was expecting but no complaints here, I ate every bit. It was definitely a hit and my new go to item. SweetGreen: I'm a fan! read more

If you're looking for a place for fresh and filling healthy food, Sweetgreen is the one. You can make your own bowl or salad, or you can pick a seasonal offering or order off the menu. They have delicious offerings such as warm grain bowls protein, quinoa, mushrooms, kale, etc and a wide variety or dressings. You know it's fresh because you see the staff chopping up veggies. Some memorable items: The blackened chicken is amazing!! Also, I love the sesame ginger dressing. You can order on the app and pick it up if that suits you better too! Their patio is dog friendly - always a plus in our books! This location is in Rice Village, so parking can be a little stressful. But there are metered parking spots on the street, or the parking garage has free parking for up to 2 hours, I believe. All in all, this place is amazing and delicious and all I wish is that there was a location closer to my work and home! read more

Just walked in and walked out after not being greeted or served after ten minutes. I was waiting to be served while looking at the menu and no one said anything to me. Then a guy walked in behind me and they took his order immediately not even acknowledging my presence. I again patiently waited as multiple workers continued to stock the salad bar. After a few more minutes, I left. I will no longer be coming to this location. read more

My favorite salad place ever! My favorites to order are the Caesar salad and the hummus tahina! While the salads can be a little pricey, the ingredients are so fresh and everything tastes so good that i think it is worth the price! I'm so glad there are two locations in Houston now! Best place to grab a healthy bite. read more

I ordered a salad to-go for the boyfriend. To make it easier, I ordered their Kale Caesar. Portions looked small for the price - they give you so much more at Salata. Boyfriend said the salad was ok - nothing to write home about. I think they are overpriced, though their storefront is nice and the interior is clean. Maybe I need to give them another shot and try a salad dine-in next time! They have a seasonal menu, a warm bowl menu, salads and a make your own bowl as well! Good concept and good options! I'm sure I'll come again to give them a try myself! Service was good; they are quick and friendly. They have house made juices as well - my friend liked them cause they are not overly sweet and you can add sweetener as you like. I'm glad for more healthy choices in the area! read more

I absolutely love sweetgreen and was so pleased to hear it was coming to Houston, particularly Rice Village. It is a really great chain, with high quality produce and light but flavorful dressing choices. I had a chance to go to this location about a month ago. It is located on a busy street in Rice Village, with tons of other shops nearby. There is a lot of (metered) parking around. The location itself is really small, with only a few tables inside, and a couple more outside. There is a really poor layout for a long line to form. Salads are made promptly and efficiently by staff to make up for this, but it's definitely not a great layout. This sweetgreen is a great addition to Rice Village, but beware the limited seating. Definitely would be great to get a pickup or delivery order, though! read more

So happy sweetgreen is now in Houston! I am always in search for a great salad spot. Came here to pick up some lunch to-go. There was a long line, but it moved quickly fortunately. I ordered their Kale Caesar (Shredded kale, chopped romaine, parmesan crisp, shaved parmesan, roasted chicken, tomatoes, fresh lime squeeze, caesar dressing; $9.95) but substituted the Roasted Chicken with Blackened Chicken Thighs and then added Warm Quinoa for more protein. The flavors were really nice together and ingredients tasted fresh. I also ordered their Watermelon Cilantro Fresca, but I actually was not a fan of this drink. The cilantro was pretty overpowering. Overall, love that they have a large variety of dishes and ingredients so you can customize. Looking forward to coming back here to try their other salads/warm bowls! read more

Yay! We've needed a great salad spot in Rice Village for so long. Sweetgreen just opened and is already a hit from the amount of crowds I've seen here. I stopped by for lunch and waited about 10 minutes in line. The interior was clean and vibrant. The service was a 10/10- everyone was so helpful and cheerful. I tried the guacamole greens salad and it was very fresh and so tasty! I'll be coming back a lot. read more

If I could give them 0 I would. During my visit there . There was a homeless lady who just wanted a free water cup and they refused to get it for her or give her one. When I asked for it they gave it to me no issues. When I offered to get something for her I told her "hey just wait ima buy it for you" and the owner/manager made her wait outside. I thought it was complete bullshit since I said I was going to buy a meal for her so at that point she's my guest and considered a paying customer. Never will go back again bc of their treatment of someone down on their luck. The lady wasn't even bothering anyone it was hot outside she just wanted a free cup of water. Be human! Water cups are free for a reason. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! It's 5 stars all the way for me--great location, for both dine in (there's an outdoor area as well) and pick up, which I usually do... and park my car with the hazards on, run in and grab and GO! The staff is very nice and the place is bright, friendly and clean. I've had almost every item here and they're all fabulously delicious! Not only is everything packed with superfood nutritious ingredients, but it's TASTY! The app is super easy to use, and my order is usually ready to pick up by the time I get there, which is only about 10-15 minutes for me. Sometimes, I'll even have this for lunch several days a week! Ok I'm gonna cut this short so I can go pick up my order haha! read more

Super fresh, customizable, GREEN bowls! My east coast friends have been raving about sweetgreen for years! I was so excited when I saw they were opening a location near me. Because they partner with local farmers, they've also developed a more local menu which I LOVE! For example, the nuoc cham dressing is very distinctly Vietnamese, which is very cool. Every bowl can be customized. I discovered that the app has even more options. If there's a bowl you like, you can swap out the protein, toppings, dressings and bases. The blackened chicken thighs are super flavorful and my favorite protein so far. I'm partial to Asian flavors, so I love the spicy cashew and miso sesame ginger dressings. Overall, great, quick, custom salads at a reasonable price! Love! read more

Sweetgreen is a great option for quick, custom salads. While they have suggested salad combinations, you can precisely customize your salad. The salads are fresh and delicious! Sweetgreen's online ordering system is easy to use--if you want to customize your salad (and see the calorie count), I actually think it might be easier to order online. You even get $5 off each of your first two orders when you order online. I'd say that Sweetgreen is better than Salata. In comparison to other salad options in Rice Village (Local Foods and Mendocino Farms), I'd say that Sweetgreen is the place to go if you want something quick for pickup and maybe a little healthier (but still tasty!). read more

WTF!! Delicious!!! What the Fruit! Came to Sweet Greens for a business meeting and was I surprised! Ordered the harvest bowl (for $10.25 with 705 calories) after recommendation from one of the staff members and was I surprised on the flavorful and healthy bowl that I began to consume! I came around 12:00pm on a Wednesday afternoon which was a little busy for them but I was able to find a seat inside. Overall I wish I came up with this Fresh concept and can reap the rewards of long lines and great food! I will be back.... hopefully not today because the bowl was that goood! read more

SWEET GREEN IS WHERE IT IS AT!!! FOOD: My favorite salad so far is the summer bbq salad, Seriously a 5 star salad! The combination of the watermelon and chicken is just WOW.. (secret is I add goat cheese, takes it to another level) the level of fresh products is definitely noticeable and just makes it all come together. Also the size of the salads are pretty big and definitely worth it. Also the tea selections are dope! I got the ginger kale tea and fell in love. Customer service: They employees were the absolute sweetest and the most welcoming. They were very informative and also had great recommendations. Sweetgreen is my favorite salad to-go place on Earth, seriously. The harvest bowl is literal perfection. The blend of salad base (I substitute the kale for spinach) with the honey roasted or blackened chicken with sweet potatoes, apples, pecans, and goat cheese with balsamic vinaigrette is UGH *chef's kisses*. I absolutely adore sweetgreen... I love the quality, the taste, the combinations. HOWEVER, I place online orders to pick up frequently for time purposes and I always end up waiting for about 30 minutes. Which is INSANE. It's hardly busy when I come too so I genuinely do not understand why it takes so long to make my order. I will receive the notification on the app that's it's ready and it never is. I always have to wait an insane amount of time. I think I'll start making the drive to a different location or start coming less. Super disappointed by this - it's so frustrating when I specially order ahead of time to be quick. read more

I love this place. I first had sweetgreen while out of town and was waiting for them to come to Houston and I'm so glad they finally did! Their ingredients are so fresh and tasty! The staff is also so great--so friendly and welcoming. Between their fresh bowls and their salads, everything here is full of clean eats. But of course, with that comes steep prices, so expect to spend at least $10-$12 or so per meal. read more

I made the order on ubereats on a Friday night that I did not feel like leaving the door. The chicken and brussel sprouts salad was quite refreshing with the strawberry sauce. The salad includes romaine lettuce, quinoa, apples, sweet potatoes, grilled chicken etc. It was more on the pricier side so I probably would not be making this order frequently. The apples came a little brown so I wasn't sure how long it had been sitting in the serving container. Other than that, the concept of the salad was in harmony even with the quinoa, tasted delicious overall, and made me feel healthy. read more

Very disappointed at the level of service my wife and I received at this location. We were told that they were out of shrimp, and that it will be about 10 minutes to have some ready to put on my salad. After 30 minutes of waiting I spoke to the manager "Antonio", who couldn't care less how long it took for them to prepare it. He blamed everything on others and his employee's "miscommunication". Never apologizing for the long wait. After I asked for his supervisor's name and number, I proceeded to grab my food and the two waters that I had paid for. At that time he accused me of trying to steal the water, where I had to explain to him that I had paid for it. Antonio was unprofessional and wrong for accusing me of taking water without paying for it. What is more disappointing is that after I contacted his supervisor "Eric", and asked that he calls me back to discuss the matter, I have not received any calls from him. Needless to say we will not be going back to this establishment. read more

I wanted something healthy after being stuck home for all this time. Looked up salad places and with the options offered at sweetgreen vs salata, I had to try sweetgreen. I really like that they have sweet potatoes, quinoa and set bowls/salads you can choose from. I thought the price for build you own bowl would be a lot but its actually pretty affordable! First of all, I've eaten here before. It was great. But yesterday, I tried ordering online and the website just froze and didn't let me order. I tried calling. No one picked up. Showed up in person - they said I'd have to download the app. So I gave up. Today, I decided to try again.. ordered via doordash. I spent $12 on this (photo attached). You might be wondering, did I eat part of this? No, no I did not. I mixed it up with the fork, that was it. They completely missed the protein portion. This was the entire $12. Tried the hot honey chicken plate and it was so delicious! The mustard sauce complimented everything so well, and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. Sweetgreen is a but pricey, but I think it's worth since I was full after my meal and didn't feel gross and heavy. You can choose from their selection of warm plates, salads, or you can customize your own bowl. I'll definitely come back to try their other selections! read more

The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.

Jojo was buying this women food and she should have been able to eat it inside the restaurant.This employee showed a disregard for human decency a disregard for empathy and just listening to his voice his tone and passive aggressive attitude tells you everything you need to know. We are all role models in this world it should cost us nothing to help someone out with a cup of water !!!! I think this employees lack of humility and empathy and his demeanor speaks volumes and hundreds of thousands of people saw this video. The sauce was really good and the spice wasn't overpowering. For my turkey and swiss, my condiment was their specialty soybean oil. The staff were super sweet. Jay informed me of what a "flat" sandwich looked like vs the wrap and Cee put my sweet heat bbq sauce in a separate container to allow me to try it before putting it on my entire sandwich. The only downfall is that this location doesn't have a drive thru but there is indoor and outdoor seating.
