I still maintain that the sweetgreen brand is a convenient way to get fiber since individually cutting up all of these ingredients takes up quite a bit of time especially fresh every day. However, I felt that the sweetgreen at JC just looks and tastes less fresh even at lunch hour than the one in Hollywood with slightly less options. I'm going to join the chorus in saying you do not get value for your money here. I went for the first time - on a Monday. It was empty. A lady made me a nice salad. So I went back the next day - Tuesday , thinking I'd be satisfied again. but no, I had to ask for a little extra cheese. This different lady said " for extra cheese, you have to pay more." luckily a kind man on the register added cheese, but for the PRICE, all the ingredients should be plentiful. I was nervous about ordering the salmon but it was amazing, not fishy at all and a decent portion. Love the Hu chocolate they have. I'm confused. I placed an order with this place "SweetGreen" at 215 and it says 315-320 for the ETA. Waiting all this time until I tried to contact them. There is no one you can speak to, Customer Services is through text ONLY. They said my order is co firmed to arrive within 8 minutes even though the app states "ready for courier". So I asked for a screenshot, which I was told they couldn't. Then they said "it's on its way, 2 whole minutes". Then finally they told me it would never get here after waiting for 2 hours. Typically when i order from sweet green in nyc, i get a lot more salad. For the price they charge for salads, they should pack in the greens. I appreciate that they are able to keep their salad and tastes consistent across chains. I have tried mostly all of their salad and I do love also their grain bowls, but time and time I go back to their kale ceasar salad which fills me up and keeps my calories count down. Their house made ceasar dressing is just uncomparable to any others and is so damn good. I'm sad that during covid they stopped offering the juices that they had previously. This location is near exchange place and I wish it was closer to downtown or up in the heights. if you download and order through the app, you get 1 free salad for every 10 that you purchase which is great. Quite possibly the greatest letdown that Jersey City has seen. When a location has a grand opening, you'd think their portions would be generous, overflowing and look beautiful so people could share their experience. We have been waiting for Sweetgreen far too long and instead we have the worst chain location I've ever stepped foot into. Salad is essentially 2 pennies worth, there is zero attention to detail, staff is rude and because they are rude, they skimp on portions. What a shame a CEO of such a large company hasn't done any kind of training or hand holding because I'm not sure how difficult it is to pack a nutritious salad bowl. What should have been 700 calories was about 90. I can't believe the utter lack of everything here. I've never ordered a salad like this or seen so many people while ordering become confrontational with staff insisting to put more veggies in their bowls. The biggest waste of $15 and it was terrible from the moment I waited in line. Another sad JC location that will be closed like all the other chains that fail to screen employees and train them. Baffles my mind the first week could be so disastrous. I was a frequent Sweetgreen customer in Manhattan, especially at the Wall Street location with their kickass employees. Those people were under stress constantly at that location and turned it out! THIS location is a waste of your time. I literally got a 1/3 portion of what a normal fish taco salad looks like. Until I hear they've rectified this, I won't be spending any more money here. $15 for 1/3 portion. Pretty pathetic. I'm a frequent sweet green customer, their salads were my go to meal to grab in NYC, so I was very excited when sweet green decided to open their JC location. Pick up was smooth but what happened to the portion sizes? Normally the salad box I have gotten in NYC, San Fran, Phillly and other sweet green location is at least 20-25% more, so not sure what's unique with this JC location offering smaller than standard size. I have now been to this Sweetgreen location 25-30 times and I wanted to update my review. In-person orders: After my first order placed on the app, I decided that ordering in person would help avoid small portions and missing items. Overall, I have had a positive experience with this, though service employee-to-employee is highly variable. I often wait as much as 2 minutes before an employee walks over to take my order and I find that portions vary depending on who is serving (I will often add a couple handfuls of lettuce when I get home.) I have also arrived 10 minutes before closing and been told that they were unable to serve me and that in the future I should arrive 30 minutes before closing if I want to place an order. I want to note that there are a few employees who are especially friendly and helpful. App orders: I have ordered from the app twice. The first app order was recorded in my first review. I ordered again from the app, ordering two of their new broth bowls. The bowls were ready 10 minutes after the designated pick-up time and both bowls were missing chicken. I'm not surprised, but it's still disappointing. Bottom line, I return to this location because I like Sweetgreen food. The service is inconsistent and often quite poor. Because the issues are so pervasive, my sense is that the problems at this location are due to poor management. I am grateful for the food and for the hard work of the employees who probably have to put up with difficult customers. read more

Larger salad then I expected..heard of Sweetgreen and this was my first time. Like the functions and convenience of the app where you can add or remove toppings. It's 2 blocks away and They did a promotion until March 21 for free delivery but it's nice to get out during the work from home environment to walk and pick up to get some steps in. I got the green goddess salad and did switch up base from spinach to romaine and no onions and switched for beets. Also requested to add bread which is option in app. I really liked the goddess dressing like creamy ranch base with cilantro. Customer service was very attentive when I arrived. I obviously looked lost and she pointed out if only one order they just put the salad on the shelf and To go green paper bags with handles and plastic forks to the side and you bag it yourself. They divide one side is for online orders and the other for delivery clearly marked signs. So quick attentive service especially during lunch hour.
