Title: Lack of Compassion and Accessibility for Sick Customers I placed an order with Sweetgreen, and after paying, the app informed me my salad would only be ready for pickup at 1:50 PM. I immediately contacted customer service to ask if it could be delivered, and if not, to please issue a refund. I was told the order was already "in progress," so no refund could be given. I explained that I am a cancer patient currently undergoing treatment, and I am not physically able to come inside to pick up food. I even suggested using an Uber courier to collect the order, if staff could simply hand it to them outside. Customer service flatly told me no, and that I would need to "call the store directly." However, they could not provide me a working phone number, and the one listed online only redirects back to the same customer service I had just spoken to. This left me with no option to access food I paid for, and no compassion shown for my circumstances. For a company that promotes health and wellness, this was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Accessibility and empathy matter--especially when dealing with customers who are sick or disabled. There's really not all that much to say about a salad place but I do love sweetgreen. I was late to the game and only tried it for the first time less than a month ago and have been back 3 more times at various locations, oops. I ordered online and picked up my salad from this location and it was ready upon arrival. This location didn't have a line though so the online ordering probably wasn't necessary. As far as the salad goes, it is my new favorite. I always order the make your own and I typically get the spicy broccoli (which isn't really spicy but still delicious), chicken, tomatoes, and onions w/ the cilantro jalepeno dressing. That dressing is outstanding and a must try. And of course I always add the bread too which is fresh and delish. I am knocking a star for the price. These salads easily run you $12-15 dollars for 4-5 toppings which is steep to make a habit out of. However, if I am staying in on the weekend then sweetgreen is my go to. read more

Guys, it's not just salads. This place serves salads and this concoction called a warm bowl, and it's really good I come here pretty often for lunch is it provides large portions, fresh produce, and well thought out flavors. My go to is the harvest bowl, which is a delicious mix of kale, wild rice, chicken, goat cheese, sweet potato, apples and almonds with a balsamic dressing. Around lunch time the lines can get really long so I recommend using their app to order ahead of time, the app also has a payment option which is beneficial as they have a great rewards program. Please note Sweet green does not accept cash. Enjoy! Update: this particular Sweet green is just not as good the rest of them. The customer service here is just bad, the servers are short with you and stingy with the portions. Unlike the 18th st sweet green that will happily alter the ingredients and portions, here they charge for every little change. Many times I've waited in line while the servers are visibly horsing around in the back while you wait. This place isn't a rep of all Sweet Greens, and it is clearly mismanaged. read more

I ordered pick-up and the service was on time. I had a customized Tiger Bowl with added sweet potato and avocado. Overall, the warm bowl is surprisingly delicious and very filling! All the ingredients in this bowl complement each other, but I especially like the Nori Furikake flakes as it added a Japanese seaweed spice to the bowl, making it so much more palatable. A stellar location! One of the best in NYC in my opinion. Service is friendly, portions are generous, and in my experience, have never experienced ingredient shortage nor waited more than 10 minutes.
