I really like this place. The owner is very nice but I've noticed that they hardly put chicken in the pot Thai not even half of a thigh. It's more like three or four tiny pieces of chicken nugs. And it didn't come with the lemon or lime it didn't have any sauce. It was very dry. Unfortunately, the curry had a black thick, long hair And all of us are light hair and not black or long haired at home The orange chicken has a honey glaze to it. It doesn't taste anything like chicken with orange. There's no breading on the chicken either. Unfortunately, I understand why there's hardly any people at the restaurant Each time I go in it's empty I tried to give them numerous of times to change their way of serving sizes but nothing's changed.

Food was good, especially the Pad Thai, however, comparing it to other Thai food places I've been, the portions are somewhat on the smaller size. It's a clean and pretty place with the lighting, but with just my family (5 of us) in the restaurant on a Saturday evening, the service was just ok.

    Will definitely miss their food.

Uncle Tim's is due to close by the end of June after 15 years in business. I have known Tim when he & his family used to work at Thai BBQ & opened up Thai Village in the mini-mall for about 3 years. Although they share the same menu items as Thai BBQ, their version has a lot more flavor & quality. Their type of combo selection with orange rice is unique & I have never seen these in any Thai restaurant. But the business model of a restaurant dining is no longer viable as cost of operations gets expensive & serving portions of menu gets smaller in an attempt to bridge the gap. I hope they can find a way to transition on a smaller scale like the L&L Hawaiian BBQ next door so they continue to offer their unique menu & taste to their loyal customers.

This is a really nice Thai restaurant. It is family owned and the taste is adapted to local's flavor. I went for the Valentine's promotion which was really worth it for the price. They didn't limit it to only 2 people like many restaurants' Valentine's set. The chicken satay is really yummy and tender. The basil chicken rice and combination soup were very good. The papaya salad is a good rare item in the area. Totally recommend this place!

Great Thai food and Thai bbq! Located in a plaza with plenty of free parking. Restaurant has plenty of indoor seating- could do with update but I go for the food! Food is made to order but comes quickly. Menu has all the Thai dishes that you typically see at Thai restaurants plus it has the bbq dinners similar to The Original Thai bbq. I ordered the bbq rib dinner and it was enough for two people! Soft juicy ribs and flavorful fried rice. The pad Thai had great taste and was not sticky.

It was late dinner coming from a vacation. My husband suggested this place because he likes it. Ok let me try. The place is in Azusa . The restaurant is spacious. Once you enter you can see Thai national decor which I appreciated . But it needs a little update on the decor, needs bright color to brighten the area. Way too dark and dim. The owner Uncle Tim was so attentive , friendly and made us very relax. We ordered the food prik pring green beans which is one of my favorite Thai food. I didn't liked it. The green beans were chewy , the sauce has no taste of chili paste and spices. More of sweet gravy. The egg roll was ok tasted more of a ready made to eat . No freshness in it. My husband got the garlic pork spare ribs was good for him. The service was awesome but for me the food nothing special. Won't be back .

Dinner invite by hubby's former co-workers. Upon entering restaurant at around 6:30 pm the place felt so gloomy with minimum lightings. We were greeted warmly by an older gentleman who escorted us to a table for 6 people. Ordered BBQ half Chicken Pad See Ew with Tofu Mixed Vegetables Pineapple Fried Rice Food that were served came to the table lukewarm or it seemed like on the cool side. Normally it would be steaming hot as newly cooked dishes but somehow to my dismay they were not even close to being tepid temperature !!! Food were not as savory as anticipated.

Every delicious authentic Thai restaurant. Pad Thai tasted very authentic. It's glazed with a sweet sauce at makes it a bit different than the ones I've tried in other Thai places. The Sauté Beef plate and the BBQ Ribs are delicious. I particularly like the BBQ Ribs. The sauces that came with it complements the meat perfectly. Ribs were cooked perfectly with meat easily comes off the bones. Thai Tea was a good sweet drink to enjoy with the food.

Uncle Tim's is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area! We typically get the D1 BBQ chicken special, and it's the best. We've tried their larb, short rib plate, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, yellow curry, and a few of their apps - all are tasty. Good portions, too. The owner (actual Uncle Tim) is so welcoming and attentive. Restaurant is well kept and clean. Parking is easy, too!

Uncle Tim's seating area. We were there right before closing (sorry Uncle Tim).

Wow a decade in the area how have I not been in Uncle Tim's Thai House! Everybody working here is prompt and courteous, and the food is amazing! Also, don't let the shopping center fool you, Uncle Tim's has a nice, warm, welcoming ambiance. They were playing some jazzy Christmas music when we came in. We had been going all the way to Monrovia for Thai but from now on we will be going to Uncle Tim's for date night or famil

I've ordered here a few times for takeout but decided to finally try it out in person! I usually order the combination soup which a great light soup with chicken and veggies ! Its definitely my go to soup on cold days and when I'm sick, or just having a stomach ache. Today I tried the dinner specials of the baby stuffed cornish hen and the black pepper garlic ribs! The hen is the size of two closed fists and comes with the fried rice and a sweet chili sauce! The sauce is perfectly paired with the fried hen, which is stuffed with what seems to taste like eggrolls. Its extremely crispy and is something you should definitely try if you're in the mood for fried chicken with a twist of filling. The black pepper garlic ribs are something I've ordered before, but I have to say, like they are to go, they're extremely delicious the marinated ribs are something they've got pat down the sauce is flavorful and savory being slightly sweet. We also ordered thai iced tea which is sweet, but not overly sweet and the boba is also chewy! The server is also very nice and the food came out quickly! I will definitely be coming back to eat in person again soon!

We got southern curry noodles, flaming drunken noodle at extra spicy, and Che Po. The curry noodles were good we got the flat noodles. Though my wife likes it more savory I like it more coconutty. The che po was okay, the rice was steeped in the sauce which was too much for my wife and some of the pork belly pieces were tough. The bbq pork and the duck was good though. Authentic Thai and Chinese fusion taste. The star of the show was the flaming drunken noodle. It's probably one of the best drunken noodles we've had. At extra spicy, it definitely brought the flame and the foavor in a big way. The portions and prices were great. We had to togo the drunken noodle and it got even better after we reheated it. -service was very friendly and quick -the restaurant is a good size, great for large parties. Negatives: None 5/5 overall We will definitely be back, we already have our eye on trying the pad Thai and the tom yum noodles. My wife wants to bring the spice down, but i want the smoke I want that extra spicy level again lol

Has this place gone through new ownership?…read more I used to frequent Tantawan Thai Cuisine at least once a week -- it was my go to Thai spots because it's nearby. I would always order the Thai boat noodles, Pad Kee Mao, or Pad Thai, and they were consistently flavorful, bold, and satisfying every time. These three dishes were on constant rotation. Lately though, something feels very different. The flavor and overall taste of the dishes have noticeably changed. The Thai boat noodles no longer have that rich, deep broth, the pad kee mao isn't as smoky and punchy, and the pad thai tastes flatter and not as saucey than it used to. The food just doesn't hit the same. On top of that, the employees were clearly new. Service has been noticeably slower, and they repeatedly ask the same questions multiple times when I phone in my order. I've always mentioned that I don't want liver in my Thai boat noodles and that I like my pad thai spicy -- and before, that was never an issue or a back and forth conversation. Now, I'm asked the same clarifying questions over and over, and I'm even told that they "don't make pad thai spicy," which was never the case before. It's honestly disappointing because this used to be such a reliable weekly staple for me. I'm not sure if there's been a change in ownership, staff, or recipes, but the consistency in both food and service just isn't there anymore. I really hope they can bring back the quality and experience that made me a regular in the first place.

My friends and I came on a Friday evening at 9pm and it was relatively empty with maybe 1 or 2 more small parties. Has all the Thai Classics you could want on a menu and then some. For 5 people, I think 4 dishes is the perfect amount but 5 if you're feeling pretty hungry. Beef Spicy Fried Rice (med spice): a staple and solid to go well with any of the entrees, though maybe smaller on the portion size Tom Yum: served in a heated tin pot - also a smaller portion size but flavor is great and not overboard with the sour for people who like milder Tom Yums Bbq Pork: served with a tangy sauce - great sharable dish Khao Soi: this was a table favorite - so much so we ordered seconds! Curry is plentiful so make sure to save some rice or get a separate bowl of white rice to really indulge. Served with a chicken drumstick that is fall off the bone tender and flavorful. And even you don't have rice the noodles are a great vehicle for the curry! Also spice is not a problem if you are hesitant because they can serve it to the side and you can adjust to your liking. Service was great - always attentive and they were very sweet even when we had such a great time chatting over the food food we stayed 20 mins over! (oops) gotta try if you're a local

It lacked protein and vegetables and was mostly noodles but the flavor was good and since I had the crying tiger, this was a good pairing. The pad thai was on the sweeter side. I got my order with pork as the protein choice. I felt if a lime was provided, it would help balance out the flavors of the noodles. The peanut was kept in a separate container, which I appreciated. The platter consists of a variety of items from dumplings, egg rolls, cream cheese wonton, wonton, and shrimp tempura. The container had holes to allow for the steam to escape, so most of the items were still crispy. Nothing from the platter particularly stands out in taste, besides possibly cream cheese wonton.
