I've been to 5 different locations now, one of them has to be at the bottom of the list and this one is it. My food was missing ingredients (they were on the ticket, not on the burger though,) the bun was stale, and there were hard bits of bone? Cartilage? in my burger patty. oh well. We finally decided to give it another shot and boy let me tell you we will never return again. First off it's Confusing when you order here because when you say you want " everything " on your burger the word "everything" doesn't mean "EVERYTHING". at swensons "everything" only means mustard, mayo onions and pickles . Or something of that sort. So, we carful explained we want "Everthing" plus lettuce and tomatoes deluxe. The food came out without our lettuce and tomatoes we tried so hard to express we wanted, so we asked them to bring it out separately and of course they charged us separately for it. (Shame on them) but not before our server complained to us the would have too " scroll thr a whole i pad just to find lettuce and tomatos" and that the kitchen staff will have an attitude about this. Next, we expressed that we were unsatisfied with the overall sandwiches because like in the past they came dripping in mayo and mustard. But this complaint was ignored and they just brought out a side of lettuce and tomato and proceeded to charge my hubby and I an extra $2. It was laughable, but not the worst part. We got home and bit into red undercooked burgers. Had to re -cook my $50 meal I paid for on my stove at home and I had to re-season our Cajun fries with The cajun in my kitchen cabinet (the stingy's on the seasoning was real). disappointing is saying the least. Hubby and I have been here a ton of times. The quality of food is typically good and the service is usually good as well. Well Saturday evening on the way home from a concert we stopped to grab some food. We ordered online and the food pick up time was 11:17. We sat in the parking lot for over 44 minutes before anyone even came over to the car. If they are going to do online ordering then they need to have a online pick up window. It was utterly ridiculous, they only had 2 runner for the food taking orders etc. read more

I was in the area and decided to have some Swensons! I am so glad I stopped! The food was amazingly delicious. I had the Galley boy burger I added lettuce and onions with the potatoes tweezers. The parking lot was packed but the worker were very attentive and fast. As soon as I turn my head lights on someone was at the window for my order. It took less than 10 minutes for me to get my food and it was steaming hot. The young man who took my order told me all his favorites and recommended a hazelnut shake. I got two galley boys, which is Swenson's signature sandwich, with potato teasers and a large California. The galley boy comes with Swensons secret sauce, cheese and two patty's. The potato teasers are breaded and deep fried sliced potatoes mixed with jalapeño and cheese. A California is a grape soda drink that is a Swensons specialty. It must mean something if LeBron James also raves about this place! I love everything about this NE Ohio favorite. Swensons has just recently expanded to Columbus, OH so if you're in the Columbus area and want to give this chain a try I would 100% recommend it read more

Why 5 stars? Because it lived up to the hype. --- --- --- Swenson's was another spot that I'd missed out on during my time in Cleveland, which was a pre-Yelping and pre-adventurous time in my life. I routinely ate Chipotle, Hungry Howie's, and Chinese to-go... and that was basically it. Meanwhile, since leaving Cleveland, I've heard the tales of all the amazing places I did not visit, because I was being a silly billy. Swenson's is one of those places. I was nervous that Swenson's would simply just be a typical fast food joint, and nothing special. But that couldn't be further from the truth. Swenson's is basically the In-N-Out Burger of NE Ohio. I have no idea what on a Galley Boy that makes it so delicious, but it's crack. Crack that I don't think can ever be duplicated. And despite my aversion to spicy things, the potato teezers were a nice alternative to fries. I love the old school drive-in concept. It's like Sonic, but if Sonic were to truly stay authentically retro. They ask you to lower you window just enough to hang your tray on. They bring out the milkshakes with no lid and a skinny straw.
