Before I share my experience with Synergy, allow me to preface it with a brief summary of my experience with the first company which was assigned to our case. I won't mention their name because they *did* successfully install a new water heater, but our experience surrounding a furnace replacement was so ridiculous, I wanted to let others know how bad things can get if they end up with a company that's essentially the opposite of Synergy. The process with the former company began in early August of 2025. Between then and late March or so of 2026....which covers EIGHT full months, mind you....they dragged their feet, twiddled their thumbs, and kept sending people to our home over and over and over on a seemingly endless loop to keep doing an "assessment" and taking the same measurements, again and again. When an installation date was finally set, alarm bells rang and red flags waved when the installer asked me to confirm the dimensions for the attic entrance. Again. For what had to be the 6th time. I obliged. His response was "Oh, this won't fit. But we'll try anyway". Excuse me, what? The math wasn't mathin and the logic wasn't logic-ing. The fateful day came and two guys unloaded it and said "we know it won't fit but we were told to try anyway". So they dragged it inside, tried lifting something several inches too wide through an entrance several inches too small, confirmed it wouldn't fit, apologized, and left. Shortly thereafter I received a call from either SoCal Edison or SoCal gas (whichever of the two it was) informing me that the contractor was unable to complete the service, and to please re-apply to the program again in order to move forward with another contractor. After much internal screaming and cursing I reached out to a small army of people. When all was said and done, I was able to reach someone who heard the whole tale and proceeded to arrange a new contractor, this time with Synergy Companies. The first contractor who came by, Brandon, was super nice, polite, respectful, and patient. He made his way inside our attic and was met with an HVAC nightmare. The home was built in the late 50's and everything up there hadn't changed much since, with a broken furnace and duct work from the early 60's. He made a phone call and explained the situation with another associate, and left very likely hoping he would never have to set foot in the home again. Unfortunately he did for a second follow-up assessment with someone else, but he remained as professional as ever. He informed me that the final call would fall to a gentleman by the name of Bryan who ultimately had the last say based on the photos and job details. I reached out to Bryan a few days later and was relieved to connect with someone so on top of their A-game, I actually believed things were headed in the right direction, and I wasn't being met with a load of hot air...so to speak. They actually had a unit that would fit and they clearly knew what they were doing. The difference between the prior company and Synergy was absolutely night and day. And on top of it all, their professionalism is unmatched. Bryan in particular was such a breath of fresh air (I am not trying to be punny, don't judge). Things were actually happening now that I was working with the right company. After a bit more back and fourth, a date was set, and Bryan along with Brandon (I'm so sorry, Brandon), and a third gentleman, Hector, arrived bright and early at 9am....ready to descend into the the void that is our attic. This valiant trio knocked it out in a day. ONE DAY. And let me tell you, that was no small feat. The house is cursed, but that didn't deter them. Brandon, Hector, and Bryan were miracle workers. Flat out. I'm still in awe several days later that it's DONE. They had already gone the extra mile and then some, but Bryan ended up going even further after the fact, when a new unforeseen development arose. My FIL finally had a new furnace....but he also has dementia, and he started flipping the switch by the attic to turn it on and off instead of operating it from the wall mounted controls, or phone app. Both of which are too confusing for him. And flipping the switch like that not only potentially hurts the unit, but means we can't control it on our end through the app to ensure he's comfortable. I let Bryan know what we were now contending with, and he voluntarily offered to personally come BACK the following day and re-route the wiring directly to bypass the switch, so my FIL can flip it all he wants without it being to his detriment. To whomever is above Bryan - GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE. And while you're at it, do the same for both Brandon and Hector, because they are awesome too. So there you go. I can't recommend Synergy enough. Even if they do half as much for you as they did for us, you'll be impressed and highly satisfied. Their business tagline is "We treat people right". Jorge Maldonado from Synergy did a great job. He replaced the crossover duct, fan motor to my hvac, replaced my thermostat with a new updated one, and cleaned my AC unit outside. He answered all my many questions, showed me the old parts he removed, and provided a photo of the work he did below my house. I really like that he wasn't pushy and explained most of what he was doing as he was doing it. read more

Excellent! I've never had such a thorough and honest inspection. They are contracted with the city of Long Beach Utilities and with Edison, so I didn't have to pay anything for them to come out, assess my HVAC and all my appliances for efficiency, perform an HVAC tuneup and replace a toilet. But it tells you something that even though they get paid the same anyway, the technician assigned to my house, Alex, went above and beyond. He made sure I understood everything. He even pointed out some issues that are beyond the scope of their city contracts. Because they have a no conflict of interest policy, they can't take private jobs out of city customers (otherwise, believe me I would have hired them!). Instead, Alex just gave me free helpful advice about how I could take care of those issues myself without getting overcharged by unscrupulous companies. Was I happy to get a free gas tankless hot water heater, yes I was! Was it a great experience, no it was not! First, the installer showed up hours late, next he drilled 3 holes in my garage wall and told he he did not repair them. Next, the job failed the city inspection. I contacted Synergy and they said they would contact me for an appointment to resolve the issues. No one called. I called again and no one called. 5 months I called and complained and the transferred me to a scheduler who scheduled an appointment for the next morning assuring me the tech would have the materials to correct the deficiency and patch the wall. The tech a lovely man named Daniel and his assistant arrived within the promised window. When asked about the wall repair he said I don't do that and I don't have the materials to do that. He called his supervisor, named Josh and he told me the supervisor would be out that to make the repairs. I told him I did not want to sit at home all day and to please have the supervisor call me with a time. Three hours later having no call I phoned and left a message on voicemail. Shortly, thereafter Daniel called and said he would be making the repairs as soon as he picked up the necessary supplies. Daniel arrived and made the repairs. Later in the day I got a voicemail from Josh the supervisor asking if Daniel made the repairs. I attempted to send him a text but he phone did not accept texts. Synergy companies has atrocious customer communications practices and skills. Synergy came to my home on june30 2023 and installed toilets in my hallway bathroom were leaking. I called them back out and he tore hole in my wall but the pipe would not return to leak so I end up calling a plumber out to fix a leak on my toilet line and I had to call the contractor to fix my wall altogether $900 synergy came out one time in Loook took my receipt and never heard from him again the biggest mistake I ever did come off of the toilet through Edison or the gas company for free read more

Received a flyer from the office of my Mobile home park on tankless water heaters and set it aside then A few weeks went by and my water heater went out and I was without hot water then I remembered the Synergy flyer and called left a message and within a few minutes I received a call from Omar. Now this was a Thursday late afternoon and by Saturday I had my new system and hot water. I was so grateful. And the price was so reasonable. They went above and beyond and the nicest people. Omar called back to make sure all was good and his installer was very sweet and informative and the door where the water heater was never shut and the installed help and fixed the door for me.
