A friend of mine recommended Synergy Nail Bar and ever since my first appointment, I have been going there regularly. They recently upgraded all of their chairs and tables, and it really elevated the space. It feels so much more luxurious. One thing I really appreciate is how clean and hygienic everything is. You can tell they take sanitation seriously, as each time I'm getting my nails done, tools are opened fresh from the package right in front of me, which gives me peace of mind. Since I started my new job and started wearing these certain shoes it started to make my big toe nail hurt so much it would start throbbing in the middle of the night and Irene miraculously took care of that pain in 5 minutes. My first time here and I won't be coming back. While they were able to take me same-day, the salon felt dirty and unkept, which already raised red flags. My pedicure was fine, but the manicure was terrible. I repeatedly told the technician my nails and cuticles are thin and sensitive, but she filed too aggressively, nicked me twice, and even made a healing cut bleed. Worst of all, she shoved what looked like a dirty brush into the open wound -- a huge hygiene concern. Another tech had to finish my manicure (and did a good job), and they gave me $10 off, which is why I'm giving it two stars instead of one. But this place needs serious updates in both cleanliness and training. read more

I've been here a handful of times. It was good in the beginning while getting gel mani and rubber base. My nails have been growing out but the right middle finger natural nail tip broke off. I asked her to fix it with an acrylic tip. However she put a whole new nail over it with SO much glue it looks horrible in person! I don't understand how this happened. best salon in Montrose, when ever I'm home for a visit I stop in for a mani/pedi. the shop is beyond clean, the tools are sanitize right away, disposable liners in the pedi bowl. I know they use clean cloths as their washer dryer and in constant use. whoever left the review about dirty is WAY OFF BASE. I can't believe I just discovered this place! So sad as I will be moving soon but Yelp should know about this gem in Montrose. I was able to make a same-day appointment for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I appreciate that their prices are listed and they don't try to overcharge customers. The woman who worked on my nails did such a great job! They honestly look so beautiful. A few minutes before my appointment I actually broke a nail, devastating I know! But she was able to give me a natural nail extension with Gel-X, which I really appreciate. I did like my pedicure as well, but I think my toe nails could have been cut and filed to be more symmetric. They have SO MANY polish options. I've been coming here for years. Due to time constraints I would just run down the street from my job or home to get pedicures without an appointment. I was incredibly unhappy. They were always behind and fights and crap talking. Synergy nails are 15 min away and I started coming back. I would drive an hour for Synergy nails. The owner Irene is incredible. So sweet, nice and approachable. She never talks crap about you and the workers are the same. Also, they do what you ask without getting upset. Super clean also. This is how it should be. Every nail tech here really pays attention to detail, which is what keeps me coming back. They are usually very quick but also very precise with their work. Where do I begin... I made an appointment to get gel x at 11:10 am. I chose a color I wanted but the bottle turned out to be empty so I had to choose another one. The second color I chose, they told me it doesn't work well with gel x so they made me choose another color. They also sat me 30 mins after my original appointment time (11:00am). Once they were done with my nails I went to go up to pay and the lady said you owe $132. When I asked why I owe that much money, she said you wasted our time choosing a color and you stayed for too long. UMMM excuse me??? Is it not my right to choose the color I want? And it was their fault for not having extras. Like how should I know the bottle is empty and the nail polish is dry?! They charged $12 because I stayed there too long. I didn't know timing customers was a thing.This is ridiculous. read more

Honestly they take a very long time to get you in when you have an appointment and take a long time to actually do your nails. I find them very unprofessional when it comes to costumer service. You have to confirm multiple times with this nail salon and if you don't respond to their text the day of your appointment (even though you have already confirmed your appointment days before) they will cancel on you. They are rude and inconsiderate of other people's lives and don't take into consideration people may work and don't have access to their phones to be responding to their phone calls, let alone text messages. I had liked this place due to their gel options, but never again will I waste another minute on this place. Not only did they screw me over 30 minutes before showing up to my appointment but they also screwed over a high profile celebrity who needed their nails done for an event. Their loss! read more

I've only been here one time but I will not be coming back for a couple of reasons. I came in for a gel manicure and my entire experience here was unpleasant and the nail tech that worked on my nails completely ruined my nails. To start off, she shaved my nails down too much when removing my previous gel polish to the point where all my nails were bendable. I came in with strong nails and one nail even broke off while she worked on it, but she charged me $3 to glue it back together when she's the one who broke it by making my nails way too thin. Also, it's only been 8 days since my visit and half of my nails are already broken and cracked and the nail she glued back for me broke off already. On top of that, she didn't file my nail shape evenly so the tip is extremely off center. Overall, I WOULD NOT recommend coming here unless you want to leave with extremely brittle and thin nails!! read more

Synergy Nails is the BEST and my favorite nail salon I have ever been too, and i've done tons of research and tried most of the highly reviewed places in LA. All the nail techs are amazing, they are clean, efficient, fast, and always do a beautiful job! The salon itself is in a cute area and the inside is super girly and cute. They have great colors as well My gel manicures always last 3 weeks and my gel pedicures even longer. I have never once gotten cut or had any negative experience here. If you ask for a different shape or any kind of adjustment, they always happily do it without seeming annoyed or irritated.
