We just got this for lunch, we were both disappointed we had a shrimp w/ garlic sauce combo and seafood combo with white sauce. We asked for brown rice and they did not honor it, or maybe they don't have it?? Just didn't taste good in our opinion. Will not order from them again. read more

This business has been around for at least 15 years! I used to order from here when I used to work around the area. I remember the food being really good and fresh back then and the staff being friendly. I've tried many other Chinese restaurants and there aren't many that I was impressed with. So I wanted to see if Szechuan Kitchen was still around about two months ago, and I'm glad I checked :-) I'm not sure if it's still the same owners, but it's still as good as I remember it! My favorite is their fried chicken wings. Always fresh and crunchy! I've also tried their general tso's chicken, the beef pepper steak, chicken with garlic sauce, boneless spare ribs, and shrimp with lobster sauce and all were delicious and flavorful. I've also tried their wonton and egg drop soup and both were yummy as well. I've only gotten take outs from here but the inside seems clean. hope this business stays open for many more years. I will continue to give them my business. Oh, and if you don't like it too spicy (dishes that are marked with a "chili" next to it) make sure you tell them to make it not too spicy for you or else it' might be too spicy for your liking. read more

EASILY one of the best chinese places i've been to. The szechuan chicken was PERFECT and the crab rangoon was plump.

Ordered a few things for pickup. Got home and found out the white rice for the Bean Curd w. Broccoli entree was not in the bag. They did offer to let us come back and get it, but we opted not to. The pork fried rice had no pork in it. It had no vegetables or eggs either. It was just a carton of dry yellowish rice (see pic). Steamed dumplings were dry. Two of the egg rolls were...ok. The other two were shrimp rolls, which we did not order and one had a bug in it. . We'll be going elsewhere for Chinese food in the future. read more

My co-worker and I have been on a Szechuan binge the last few months. There is a Szechuan restaurant near the hotel we usually stay. Unfortunately, it was closed the evening we were in town. We googled Szechuan restaurants and found this place. Expecting a true Szechuan restaurant, I was very disappointed. This place is a small "hole in the wall" place that serves basic chinese food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food we ordered was "okay", nothing great. Again, for standard chinese food, I am sure this place is fine. As ex-New Yorkers, but long time Middlesex residents we enjoy quality Chinese food, but have found most of the take-out establishments to be lacking. We have often passed Szechuan Kitchen and finally tried them: Surprise! We found a keeper. Their Hot & Sour Soup is loaded with pork, tofu, and bean sprouts - spicy without it being overwhelming. Great flavor in the fried rice, and lo-mein that is not greasy. The beef and chicken dishes we ordered were generous with plenty of meat, and delicious. The owners appeared genuinely nice; making sure our order was complete. Their prices are reasonable too. It is always nice to find a place you want to come back to. read more

After nearly 5 years of searching for a good Chinese place, I've finally found them!! Some of their dishes seem a little lighter in flavor compared to most other places but I like it cuz I can adjust it to my taste. Plus you can ask them for extra sauce or spice & they're happy to do it. Their food is clean tasting, not greasy & soo good. My absolute faves are their Spring Rolls, Fried Dumplings & Crab Rangoons. They're the best I've had anywhere around here. The dumplings aren't doughy or greasy & they're pan fried to crispiness without being burned or charred. The rangoons are the perfect combination of cream cheese, crab & scallion while none of one ingredient is too much or overpowering. Plus they're nice lil pouches & crunchy! The spring rolls are bigger than most other places & have nicely sized pieces of fresh veggies (cabbage, carrots & mushrooms) inside. Their soups are yummy too especially the Hot & Sour (if you like it spicy, just ask for a lil more spice). Definitely give this place a try if you're sick of all the mediocre, greasy, crappy food or local places around. read more

Absolute horrible experience. Waited almost 3 hours for food. I ordered online at 6:45 pm. I waited an hour to go pick the order up because it was a large order. When I arrived, the man told me that they were working on my order and that I would receive a call when it was done. I waited for another hour only to for him to tell me that he did not get my order. He said they had 5 online orders and only looked at 4 of them. (I have confirmation that my order was received.) So two hours have passed at this point. I had to resubmit my order. I showed him the exact order, he copied it down and once again I was waiting. My order was completely wrong. Dishes were missing. So I had to return my order. Think it was right the second time? Absolutely not. The order was screwed up even more. At this point I was pissed. I had to take the messed up order and leave. My family had been waiting close to 3 hours for food. I would have went somewhere else but everything else was closed when he told me that my order was not cooked. Unbelievable experience. read more
