Ordered take out when the cashier charged me I noticed she overcharged me on the price of what I ordered. I showed her the menu price, she got nervous grabbed all the menus and hid them behind the counter. I then noticed she added her own tip onto the order. I was already irritated with her for trying to overcharge me, so I told her take off that tip you added on without me saying to do that. Szechuwan Garden has been our go-to Chinese restaurant for a couple of years now. We usually order takeout, and every time, the food is hot, fresh, and generously portioned. We usually order three items, which is enough for two people to eat for two meals. Our favorites include the combination fried rice packed with giant whole shrimp, chicken, beef, vegetables, and egg, as well as the walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, spicy honey chicken, and tangerine beef. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. We order from here at least twice a month and it's a regular on our rotation. Highly recommend! read more

We had a group of 9 people visited Szechuwan Garden and two from our group had birthdays and wanted to eat there. Walked in and the place was stuffy. No AC working and the temperature outside was 98 degrees. They had large Honeywell air circulators by our table which helped, but as soon as other customers came in the restaurant became overly hot. Our food was good and very tasty as it always had been as we have visited here before. We all had a great time and a great lunch. However, I took most of my food home due to it was way too hot in the restaurant even with the air circulators. I ordered chicken lo mein. After getting home, about a couple of hours later, my lunch came back up. I am not sure if it was more from the heat or food poisoning. But after talking with others from our group, it appears that I was the only one who became ill. So, I am going to take it that from the restaurant being way too hot, my system just could not handle it. I sincerely hope the owners get their AC either fixed or replaced because if we return and the restaurant is too warm when entering, we all agreed we would not stay. Due to the restaurant not having adequate AC, I only gave 3 stars. Comfort when eating at any restaurant is a main staple with any customer. This is the place that puts the fun in Beef Chow Fun. Wonderful and cozy restaurant in a quiet strip mall on the corner of Centtal and Arrow that is also home to Pola's and Dolce. The service is friendly and efficient, but this isn't panda so don't expect it to be ready before you arrive. The food is made to order and served hot. I love the noodle and rice dishes, I've had them all. The tangerine chicken, that's right, tangerine chicken!, is super delicious with a bit of tartness to compliment the sweet sauce it's bathed in. The won ton and hot and sour soups are also very delicious. They've been open for well over 10 years and kept pumping out delcious food during Covid without missing a beat. There are many options for asian cuisine, from express to buffet to panda, but I always find myself coming back to what is good and what is consistent... Like this humble restaurant. My husband and I decided to go for lunch today and actually eat in the restaurant. It is very spacious inside and the staff were warm and welcoming. We started with the Pu Pu platter which included fried shrimp, eggrolls, paper wrapped chicken, beef skewers, cream cheese wontons and Bbq pork. Everything in this appetizer was delicious! There were 2 of each item so my husband and I didn't have to share anything. It was a great way to start our meal. My husband was starving so he wanted to order half the menu lol. We ordered a few dishes that are our usuals and then some new dishes. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Sweet and Sour Shrimp, Pork Egg Foo Young and Pepper and Salt Pork Chop. We love Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein; they are our usuals and they did not disappoint, hot, fresh and very tasty. We've had Sweet and Sour chicken and pork before, but never the Shrimp and it was Amazing. The breading was light and crispy and the Shrimp were perfectly cooked inside and just look at the picture...the shrimp were huge!!! I am an Egg Foo Young lover so for me it was fantastic. My husband said it was just ok; he wanted something with a little more spice to it. Now, the Star of our meal was the Pepper and Salt Pork Chop We've never ordered it before and never even thought of ordering it, but my husband saw a picture of it on the menu and it had jalapeños on top and that caught his attention. If you haven't ordered this dish before then you MUST try it. It does have bones in it so be careful when eating however, I've never had such a tender pork dish in my life!!! It was crispy, crunchy, well seasoned, and super tender!!! I picked up a piece with my fingers and it fell off the bone! All in all 10 stars for our lunch today. The portions were huge so we did bring a lot of it home but on the bright side I don't have to cook tonight or tomorrow!!! Also, our server was an older gentleman (didn't get his name) but he was so sweet, funny, and really good with service! I have such mixed feelings about Szechuwan Garden. Their food no doubt is a solid 5/5, however their service and accuracy of orders are an entirely different story. I've ordered take out from here many times and each time was very disappointed with the inaccuracy of their food. It's consistently inconsistent. My order is always mapo tofu no meat extra spicy with a side of fried rice. And each time I've ordered take out, there's always something wrong with the order. One time it came with meat, another without the rice and next it would barely be spicy. So if there is anything to work on, it would definitely be quality control. I also had issues when I ordered online and the ordering service will randomly cancel my order for no apparent reason. Dining in wasn't bad, but everything was quite slow. I have a feeling this has to do with the fact that there aren't very many staff members. The cleanliness of the restaurant is okay, but the choice of content on their TV's could be better. Fox News being played on all the TV's all day can get kind of old. Over all, if i was judging purely on food, I'd give this place 5 stars no problem. But service and quality control definitely have room for improvement read more

I've often ordered from Szechuwan Garden and usually have my meals delivered by Uber. One day, I decided to stop by in person, placed my order, and took the food home. The restaurant seemed decent, though it was a bit dim inside, but overall, it was fine. About a week later, I brought my sister there for lunch. While we were waiting to be seated, I went to use the restroom. Unfortunately, it was dirty and there was no soap or paper towels--just a hand dryer. After washing my hands with only water, I decided it was best for my sister and me to eat elsewhere. The food has always been good, but I just couldn't get past the condition of the restroom. Passed by this place a few times, and we finally decided to give it a try. We arrived to dine in one evening about 30 minutes before closing and were given a warm welcome. After ordering, the food started coming out within the first 5 minutes. The egg drop soup was seasoned perfectly and hit the spot while we waited for the rest of the food to arrive. We got the egg Fu Yung which was delicious but was a little on the sweater side for me. The beef topping tastes just like a sweetened beef n brocolli. I did not expect the sweetness so it was just OK for me but hubby loved it. The low mein was also good, large portions, and the beef was nice and tender. Quality of food can vary between eating in and taking out. Almost as if they were made by completely different kitchens. Eating here will have a vastly superior experience. The service can be stellar on some days and dreadful on others. Our first time here on a Saturday around 3 pm had 6 tables of guests. 1 server, and the food was flying out, drinks filled and constant check-ins. A week later, on a Sunday around 4 pm. 4 tables of guests, 3 servers walking around, slow to take orders, no refills on drinks, entree coming out before appetizers. Not all appetizers accounted for. With triple the help on the floor, they did worse. Inside is a bit humid and warm. They try to cool the air using probable ac units. It's not very effective. Food, however, is good each time indoors. Take the same food to go, sit outside, and eat it. It won't be the same. I have no clue why it's so vastly different. Parking is easy to navigate and find. read more

When we walked in, there were maybe two tables occupied. By the time we left, every table was filled! Food: SO GOOD! You get a large portion to split amongst the table. We ordered a lunch portion meat for each of us and a chicken lo mein. We had so many leftovers. Everything is flavorful and fresh. The tangerine chicken was not terrible but we have had better. Service: The only reason why I docked a star. There were only two servers but it seems one lady was pulling the weight for both of them. We did not get refills and had to flag down someone if we needed something. Honestly it was so busy, we did not mind but an extra server or two would probably help the overall service. They messed up on one meat entree and by the time we got the correct entree we were ready to leave.
