The food is always consistent, hot and fresh. The staff is always very accommodating and friendly. We live about 20 miles away and still make it out monthly go to place for Chinese food

    Beef and broccoli

I had read good reviews about this place; otherwise, I would have walked out before ordering. It is very dingy and did not seem very clean to me. Instead of a printed menu, the server brought a single tablet to the table, so my friend used the tablet and I had to look at the menu on my phone. I am fairly good with technology, but I found it very confusing to use the menu tablet to place the order; in fact, I kept touching the screen only to have the English turn into Chinese. My friend and I felt that the tablet seemed particularly unclean and unsanitary. We ordered pork egg rolls, chicken egg rolls, and beef and broccoli with fried rice. The fried rice came out first in a bowl overturned onto a small plate, with two small plates for us to put the rice on. We had been given forks and chop sticks, and we had to request a spoon in order to get the rice onto our plates and not all over the table. My friend's chop stick was splintered (see photo) and unusable; I picked up my set of chop sticks and immediately got a splinter in my thumb. The beef and broccoli was better than most I've had and resulted in my giving this restaurant 2 stars instead of 1. The fried rice had no vegetables or meat in it and was quite bland. The egg rolls were brought out several minutes after the beef dish, which makes no sense for an appetizer. The rolls were too hot to eat immediately, and the wrappers were extremely hard; I don't think they were good enough to order if I were to return (which I will definitely not). There is a surcharge for using a credit card; I was actually considering leaving no tip, but the payment device included an 18% tip by default, and I have never failed to tip and relented. I would definitely not return or recommend this restaurant.

I am a regular at this place, I usually come in one to three times a week. I did not have a chance to get in this week, but this place is amazing. I usually order the spicy beef soup and it is always amazing. I highly recommend this place. I come in so often that they don't even ask what I would like they just know. These are good people and they can be very personable. I love this place. I highly recommend it. They are very attentive, and the atmosphere of the restaurant fits perfect. I can't get enough of this place! I don't think I'll ever get tired of the beef soup.

Very good Chinese! I ordered takeout on a whim last night and my husband and I were quite impressed. It might be my favorite Chinese I've had so far in the Tempe area. We ordered Dan Dan noodles, shrimp with broccoli and sweet and sour chicken. All of them were enjoyable. I was impressed by the quality of the chicken; usually in those fried dishes with sauce, places skimp on the quality but this was great quality with a good sauce. Would try more! The Dan Dan noodles were so satisfyingly spicy from the Szechuan sauce-- so tingly! Also the texture of the noodles were great; sort of thin and stretchy. The shrimp with broccoli also came with some other veggies in a white sauce. I was only familiar with the soy sauce based dishes but the white sauce was quite good! I did pick up and saw the vibe was a humble little place. I'd absolutely order from here again.

This a solid Szechwan restaurant and it almost top my favorite one. Their food was so good and I enjoyed the braised pork belly! I don't recall the name but the other dish was also delicious and had a good spice. Seems like this is a family owned restaurant and a lot of Chinese locals come here. I was too shy to speak Chinese but they were all very friendly. It is nice inside and the food comes out quick. I would love to try their Dan Dan noodles next time !

I will definitely be back! Me and the gang were craving spicy Asian food and we were not disappointed. This unassuming place had delicious flavors, spice, and service. The beef rice noodle soup was incredible! The Szechwan cold noodle was a huge hit. The potstickers were alright, but the chili sauce was good. We liked the Szechwan beef and Dan Dan noodles- very flavorful! The heroes were definitely the noodle soup and the cold noodles. We love the way the Szechwan pepper numbs your tongue. The staff were lovely and polite. Definitely recommend this hole in the wall experience.

Simple nice small restaurant close to University. Service excellent. We order spicy steam pot (with regular their standard spicy, amazing flavor if you love spicy food. It's spicy but at the same time you want more and can't stop. We only order this one, and we very satisfied and happy. After we cool down the spicy with ice powder jelly.

Grabbed pick up via uber eats. It was ready pretty quickly, within 10 minutes on a Saturday at early evening! We ordered the a-choy, tofu boiled fish, orange chicken, and spicy diced chicken. The a-choy and tofu boiled fish (2 chili pepper signs) were winners! The veggies had a nice garlicky taste. The tofu boiled fish was spicy and also had numbing spice - true Sichuan flavors! We even made some noodles at home to put the leftover tofu fish and sauce over it for our next meal. Portions are HUGE. Orange chicken was a pass - we were just craving some Americanized Chinese food and Panda Express would have been better for this item lol. Pieces were too small and mostly fried batter rather than chicken. The spicy diced chicken was alright - too spicy for me (3 chili pepper sign) but also just diced into too small pieces. Typically this dish has chunks of chicken with the bone in it. Will def return for the tofu boiled fish!

Food was decent and authentic. For those that may not be familiar with Szechwan cuisine, a lot of it is spicy, so if you're a pansy like me, this may not be the place for you. My partner likes spicy and if I had a stronger stomach lining, it would be my thing also but after eating hot chili oil, I usually need to take Omeprazole. In any case, we came here for Friday night dinner. I ordered yushan pork ($13.99) and my partner had dan dan noodle ($10.99). Rice was extra $1.00. Overall, food was authentic, fresh and tasty. I asked for my yushan pork to be made mild, but still it was more spicy than I would prefer. My partner's dan dan noodle was super spicy! Ambience is casual and can be good for groups of friends, family or colleagues. If you like spicy, authentic Chinese cuisine, this is the place for you!

However, I'm on a kick right now to try places that I may have overlooked as I've been seeking out the new, shiny restaurants we have in the valley. With a renewed focus on the landscape I think I will keep trying places that aren't new by any means, but are new to me. For our visit, it was about 8pm on a Wednesday evening.
