I was told the part needed to be ordered because it was an "uncommon size." That was not accurate. A quick call to a local plumbing supply confirmed the exact part was in stock (20+ available). Because of this, we were left without water for four days for a repair that could have been completed much sooner. If the delay was due to scheduling, that should have been communicated honestly instead of attributing it to part availability. When the repair was finally completed, the new part appeared fine initially but began leaking later that same night and was leaking significantly the following day--enough that I had to shut off the water to avoid damage. A return visit was required later that day to correct the issue. read more

I wish I could leave a good review but unfortunately I can't. Our home warranty company referred us to T&C. They did come out the next day, which was the only good thing that happened. Ivan came out, took maybe five minutes to find out why our pilot light would not work. He said I will order the pilot light assembly, and be back Monday to put it in. I called Monday morning, and some guy answered and said the part is in we will be out tomorrow between 8-10 AM. I waited no one showed, then I get a phone call from a women, saying the part didn't come in and we don't know when it will, we will call you when it comes in? I had been without hot water for four days, having to take cold showers, and they are leaving it open like this! She said sorry. So I called the Warranty Company, they were completely useless, I kept hearing roosters in the background, obviously someone working from home in the Philippines. He said they did not send us any information or paperwork on your water heater. The guy calls T&C and they said they will get to it when they can. So, I called around on Tuesday, and was told by Water heaters Inc. that my particular water heater, is on a major recall since 2012-2016 for a fire hazard and faulty pilot light assembly, he said T&C has to know about it, because AO Smith water heaters are used extensively in new homes and old alike. So, I called AO Smith, my water heater is on the recall and they sent me a control unit and new burner which includes the pilot light. They will be out tomorrow to replace it free of charge. T&C should have known about this, or made an attempt to look it up. Ivan was very lazy and just wanted to move on, didn't care in the least, and neither did T&C management. Stay far away, if I kept waiting, he would have fixed only 50% of the recall issue, and the water heater still could have caught fire. There was a little mixup with the scheduling on my appointment day, however, Alex made sure he dispatched a tech to my home at the same time I was originally promised. Josoe was the tech that arrived. He was friendly, honest, and professional throughout the whole process. He diagnosed my issue and replaced the parts immediately. Extra 5 stars to T&C for having parts available on their trucks so the customer doesn't have to wait a week or two for replacement. The company is scam and a group of crocks. I did report them the same day to the better business bureau and they have already been reported to the insurance company that sent them. These people first came out and said we have to talk to the insurance then replace the unit we said we want the best and will pay the difference they said which brand do you prefer we asked what do you recommend they said Kohler we said fine then the guy comes with a fake item made of plastic parts and says it is taller than yours I said you know it needs not to block the shutters, let me look and find one he said send me the photo of what you find. I did send him the photo he goes and places the plastic cheap faucet in the box of Moen and comes and says see it is the same as you have sent the photo, which one do you want, I said insurance pays some so what will be my out of pocket? He says 120 dollars extra plus 20 dollar gas I said fine he installs and leaves . I keep looking and thinking this is not looking like the one I purchased and one that he claimed he installed after careful inspection, it turns out to be a cheaply made of plastic placed in a Moen packaging, I saw the packaging and trusted the item inside is what shows outside but apparently not!!!!. I have included photos to prove the point do not become a victim of a scam by this company it seems it is a small family/friend owned working together and milking the elderly or misinformed customers. Compare both photos I am cheated big time. The company contacted us and send supposedly a supervisor, who came and as he saw the faucet he too claimed it was a Moen, I said where does it say Moen he couldn't find it, he claimed the technician was just hired and he would be reprehended, I don't believe a word call me cynical. Once you lose my trust hard to gain it back. The tech also claimed he fixed the faucet outside attached to the structure to be found not so. So please, please do be careful with this company. T&C team did an amazing job tackling our plumbing issues at our home: we needed to repipe the entire house. Prior to meeting T&C Plumbing, we met with multiple plumbers that would simply suggest that we need to snake the mainline which we did 3x and we continued to have issues. Eventually we came across a plumber from another company who diagnosed the issue and noticed our entire home is piped incorrectly and not up to code - however the price they provided for this job was way too high. This then led me back on to Yelp where I found T&C Plumbing. Edwin was extremely responsive, I provided the report from the other plumber and Edwin shared a MUCH better price AND warranty for this project. Edwin then came by our home after reviewing the report to confirm the work that needed to be done which was a relief because the other plumber was saying we needed to cut out out wall but it did not seem necessary in Edwin's professional opinion. The project took 3 days which flew by, T&C team was very communicative and would let us know when they would turn off the water to make sure we got our restroom breaks out the way. They were also very clean & professional by making sure to block out parts of the house with plastic to make sure no dirt made it's way on to our furniture. Edwin was also kind enough to capture photos to explain whats happening under our home - including the broken pipe they discovered underneath our bedroom which explains the horrible smell that would linger! Also, they were kind enough to help us with our water heater maintenance and help install some part of our faucet that we've been lagging on (We're first time home owner newbies and don't have all the tools we need yet lol) Overall, I am truly happy with the work they've done. This entire plumbing issue was such a pain for several weeks but T&C team came to save the day (& our wallets with the price they provided). Had a stoppage in the garage sink. AHS Home Warranty selected T&C Plumbing & Rooter company for that service. A young boy named Christian came (perhaps 15-16 years old) and ran a snake tool from the garage and also from the main sewer cleanout next to the home entrance. 20min after when using the toilet that is close to the entrance we had all the water flowing inside the bathroom. Reached out T&C Plumbing and they refused to accept that the snake tool could damage it and did not take responsibility for it. After many calls with both T&C and AHS I understood that I'm dealing with not a reputable company. Hired another company and ordered a new toilet. A simple drainage stoppage ended up costing me about $800. They also shared with me photos that clearly show that the damage was only possible from the snake tool. Apparently, this company will not take good care of you if the lead was generated from a home warranty company. Beware. read more

Beware this company will rip you off! They were sent out by American Home Shield to replace my water heater...... that in itself was a nightmare experience. They replaced it with a defective water heater and had to come back several times after it was leaking and then the heater element exploded. Was without hot water and had to wait for another new one to be installed. What makes me most angry is they said I needed code improvements to be up to code..... in reality they added one cheap metal strap, replaced the metal tub with a cheap plastic one and said I needed flexible water pipes. I looked up all of these items online and it was less than $70 total. Yet they charged me another $500 which was not covered by my warranty. I will be filing a formal complaint against this business and their shady business practices. read more

I provided this rating because there is not a negative rating that I can choose. From start to finish this request was handled so poorly that I may just drop my membership with AHS. I had a failed water heater and I've waited two weeks to get it replaced. It was finally replaced today with yet more confusion. The plumbing company indicated they required my credit card to cover the non-covered charges as per my approval on the dispatch, prior to starting any work. They then indicated that AHS sent a water heater that they would not install as it was subpar and that another water heater was required which they would purchase and work out the details with AHS after the fact. Somehow they managed to use my credit card to purchase the replacement water heater, They did contact me immediately and explained that it was a mistake, they then made arrangements to return money so that my actual payment would match the non-covered charges charges that were quoted as part of the service requested. All that said AHS has failed me greatly. Your contractor failed me greatly. I will not recommend either company to anyone. I will be posting negative ratings on YELP for both. read more

I called my home warranty company (American Home Shield) and they assigned T&C Plumbing. T&C accommodated me with a same day appointment. Nelson was my service guy and was able to repair a busted kitchen pipe connection located in my garage. The repair included cutting out sheetrock, partially cutting an old metal pipe, replacing the old pipe with a black PVC pipe, and providing a new cleanout connection. The repair was done in approximately two hours. It was a hassle-free transaction for the most part that only cost me the price of my home warranty service fee. The only downside was the service window was from 12-2 and Nelson arrived at 2:30pm. However, I was able to confirm with the company that he was held at another job and was enroute, so that was okay with me, especially since it was a same-day appointment. I am writing this review on day 2 and so far everything looks good. Note that the plumbing company is not responsible for repairing the sheetrock or the hole in the stucco. The warranty company has assured me that another trade will be out to repair the walls. read more

Absolutely not! The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had a water heater break. This company was replacing the old one, the restoration company dried out my floors in my house for 3 days. TC plumbing guys started disconnecting the old water heater then left to go pick up an employee and the new water heater and about 2 minutes after he left water started coming in the house again. I called the company and no answer, left message. Manager calls back 40 minutes later and talks to employee who had just arrived, (they spoke in Spanish) then said to me my employee said he didn't do it, I said you think I did it? Why? He said we aren't responsible. And he was very rude, callus, insensitive, disrespectful, lacked companion and unwilling to even listen. I was so put back by his behavior, I wondered how they are even in business. Please don't patronize a company that wants your money but doesn't provide basic customer service. We got referred to this company through our home warranty company. It took them a week to get out to replace our water heater, and then it broke a a couple weeks later. Then it took a couple days for them to come back out to look at it. They told us they would have to order a part for it, which would take another couple of days. Meanwhile, a random repair person who was at the house to look at our furnace, actually fixed the water heater but said we should still replace the part. It's been a week and our water heater is still working, but T&C has still not called us about the part they supposedly ordered and are going to replace. I had a leak under my sink and their technician diagnosed it was the faucet. I was able to purchase a faucet of my choice & they came back to install it for me for a good price. I really appreciated that they were extremely flexible with communication as I was at work during a lot of this. This service was referred by American Home shield. The tech, I don't believe spoke English or he couldn't compose a full sentence. I spoke an individual who called while the technician was present. I was told that Home Shield would cover the water heater and labor but an additional $465.00 would be needed for paperwork. I asked the individual to send an itemized/line account of the $465.00 supposedly to be owed. We confirmed the correct email for the itemization and ended the call. The technician just stood in the garage looking baffled. There was not one full sentence used: 'need a new one" and "It's broke". We have not received the itemized list but an order for the water heater was submitted by this company. Well, this all started on 12/22/2022, on 12/26/2022, we were still waiting on a water heater. AHS stated that they had sent the vendor an email confirming heater is ready to be picked up. 12/26/2022 thru 12/30/2022, vendor did not answer phone nor return messages. AHS contacted and I was put on hold while they called vendor 12/28/2022. AHS rep. returns to phone and states "vendor has been having trouble with phone (this after, I called 15 minutes before calling AHS) and had not transportation to pick up item. 12/30/2022, AHS is called again due to no response from vendor after 5 days. Once again, AHS calls vendor, and they answer (surprise!). This time vendor relays message to AHS that they will be out on Monday to complete the job. Well, Monday comes, and AHS calls at 7:36AM. AHS states that there is no work order confirmed for 1/2/2023 (if there was no work order then why you are calling), i was put on hold and AHS calls vendor (again, Surprise they answer). AHS returns to phone and states vendor will be at my mother's house on 1/3/2023. I hang up and call T and C plumbing and Alex answers. He states that the warehouse is closed, and they will be picking up water heater and at house on 1/3/2023 between 8AM and 10AM. HERE WE GO....... On 1/3/2023, The technician comes at 8:20AM-it has been reiterated several times in the past days, verbally with ASH and vendor- TECHNICAIN NEEDS TO HAVE IDENTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPEAK ENGLISH. WELL! WELL! The technician came with a jacket that had a "Nelson" name tag adhered to the jacket and no other Identification, (No Driver's license?) He just pointed to the name tag. He showed me picture on his phone of work order, when asked about license. He then goes out to the truck and sit for about 15 minutes (i know he's calling the office). In the interim of this, Alex calls(8:25AM) and states the technician doesn't have any identification, is it ok to complete the job. Of course, since my 80+ year old mother hasn't had water since 12/22/2022 and I've had to pay someone $25 a day (8 in total) to heat water which is necessary for her medical/hygiene and them not picking up the water heater which has been sitting since 12/26/2022. The technician gets out the truck with invoice in hand, extending the paperwork towards me and ask, if were paying cash or by credit card (first full sentence out of his mouth). I tell him we're paying by credit card. He then goes and I believe shares this with his superiors (I hear him talking on the phone). I ask to see the license again, and he shows me the same information on his phone (I take a picture of it). I then ask him his last name and he just looks at me. I ask him "Do you know your last name?), he reaches for his phone (really!). I was away from him, as I hear the house phone ringing; it's T and C plumbing. I ask what the person's name is because it sounds like the same women's voice, I just heard on the technician's phone (it was. She wasn't forthcoming wit her name (she asked why I wanted it). I shared with her the reason to be; because you're asking for a credit card number, and this is business in which she needed to identify herself. After some words back and forth she stated her name was "Kenya Lovo". I asked for (I guess) Nelson's last name since he didn't know it and once again, she wanted to know why. It was like pulling teeth. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS? Finally, she said his last name was Gonzales. I asked what her position in the company was and she wouldn't and didn't give it to me. Had a leaky toilet. Which they did fix for appx $200. Took ten minutes to do. Where's the problem. Now since that problem was fixed it created a new one. NOW MY TOILET WONT BARELY FLUSH TOILET PAPER. I ask myself what kind of plumber does this work. So was this person that fixed the leak an actual plumber? Or was it someone working under another plumbers license? So we had the plumber back. Voiced our concerns of the toilet not barely being able to flush toilet paper. And he turns and says it will cost another $200 to fix the flushing power. Every time an issue came up I had to call all day just to get them to answer the phone and sometimes it'd take days before I'd hear back. They installed a "new" water heater this past august. November 7th our hot water stopped working and after multiple attempts to get them out here to help (it's under warranty and I can't afford reaching out to new ppl so I heavily relied on warranty agreement) they finally got back to us and arrived November 29.... After the first fix they had to come back twice in two weeks due to the same reoccurring problem. My third time reaching about the same problem (3days ago) they completely blocked and blew me off. Ignored and forwarded all emails and calls everytime I reached out for an update on the supposed part they needed to order. Yesterday I added up a total of 31 days without hot water. The company we found today confirmed they had not installed the water heater correctly. Save your time, money, and stress and look elsewhere. We have American Home Shield and I chose this company from the list they gave me, because of previous reviews. Although the technician was very kind and respectful, I could barely communicate with him which caused problems later. As he was repairing the shower drain, I noticed that the drain he purchased seemed to look like it wasn't fitting correctly. I tried to communicate this with him, and explain to him that I was not happy with the way it looked or fit. Rather than try to explain to me that it was the correct parts, or try to help me feel secure in the job that was being done, he called his manager, spoke to the manager for a minute, and then the manager got on the phone with us. At this point when the manager heard my concerns, he became very defensive and combative. He basically treated me as though I should shut up and let them finish the job. When I explained I was upset and didn't feel good about the part, rather than trying to explain or make me secure in the job, he argued more with me and told me they had to finish it. I said I didn't want them to finish something that I didn't feel was right, and then he threatened me. He said if his technician left now, they would never come back and never service us again. Either I allow them to continue the job even though I was uncomfortable, or they would leave, to never return. This reaction even made me feel more insecure about the work that was being done. I was so upset! So with no faith in the company, a manager that was arguing with me and threatening me, and a technician who would not communicate with me, I felt no other choice but to ask them to leave. This company was assigned by AHS to handle toilet not flushing. Armando came by and after first snaking for obstructions, had to call company to report diagnosis. Unfortunately, the blockage which involved pulling out the toilet is not covered. Requested a quote and approved the job. Spent a few hours clearing accumulated paper obstruction but eventually turned out toilet itself is defective; returned to install after a couple of days as product was not in stock and had to be ordered Worked through after hours to make it happen. The job we needed done were pretty straightforward: Installing a utility sink and replacing 3 valves. Instead of providing a verbal quote, he told my husband to provide him my email and he'll email the quote. But he didn't leave any information on how I'm supposed to do that. So I called the main number and left a message. I provided the address of the property and my email address. It's been several days and I have yet to receive the quote.
