This place is great.. A tiny hole in the wall that normally I may of just passed up but my friends highly recommend it saying Tina does good nails. Tina is awesome as is her staff. They do gel nails as well and have a variety other than the all so popular OPI gel nails as well. Best part is that they do the nails right and they last a while. Unlike a bad experience at another nail salon in the area. Tina does such a great job and the nails lasted for weeks without chipping. Prices are reasonable as well. This salon is so nice. I love going to Tina for waxing, as well as Julie. They are both super fast at it, which easess the pain. Tina also does hair, and does an amazing job. She is really reasonable too. I went to Janice for a pedicure and that woman gave an amazing massage on my lower calves and feet. It was heavenly. I also have been to Julie for a pedicure and she got all of my hangnails out. I have always had pain when wearing shoes, but for the first time, I DON'T!! I am always going to go back to Julie for those. One awesome thing: the Keurig coffee maker! They have coffee and tea, all complimentary. Another perk, when I was getting my waxing done, Julie put on really soothing music and for a little while I felt like I was in a day spa, not in a spa nestled on Baker ave. I love this place. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I've been coming here for the past 6 years to get my nails done for High School dances and special events. I've had my nails done by Tina and Lan. I'm very happy with my results that I receive every time I come here. Very friendly staff and great service. Tina and Lan take their time and do an amazing job*. I made an appointment about a month ago for an 11am appointment. I came here today with my grandma to have a mani/pedi day. We came in and were sat down in the chairs right away. The chairs are massage chairs and were turned on right as we sat down. I got a pedicure and acrylic nails while my grandma got a mani/pedi. Our pedicures were $20 and included a "Sea Scrub Exfoliate". AMAZING!! I highly recommend this nail place if you want a relaxing mani/pedi! Never rushed or sloppy work. After hearing all the hype about gel manicures, I decided to try it out for myself and found T&H Salon on Yelp. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon with a friend and we were both beginning our manicure/pedicures within 5 minutes. The salon was very clean, and even with it being a hair salon as well, felt very spacious. The chairs were comfortable and easy to work (I always have issues working those things for some reason!). It is in a weird little shopping center off of Baker, next to Lotions and Lace, and feels a bit ghetto, but the inside of the salon is far from being that. You have to go in through the back (where the parking lot is). My gel manicure was $23 and so worth it. I didn't go back for about 2 weeks and it was only because my nails had grown out so much. Great deal on the gel manicure, as I know friends that pay $30+ at salons in Newport and Huntington Beach. I recommend this salon to all of my Costa Mesa friends. So glad I found it. read more

My coworker recommended this place and I was excited about going because her ombré was nice and her hair wasn't damaged at all. But when I went I had a bad experience. I had an appointment with Tina, we spent almost 40 minutes discussing how I wanted my hair and she said it wouldn't turn out as light as I wanted it because my hair was gradually dark. I told her that as long as my hair didn't look coopery or brassy I'd be fine. I showed her different pictures and my hair looks nothing like it. This place is by far my favorite place to get my nails done. I can get a medi/pedi for 25 and they always do a great job. It's not a place to expect to get in and out quickly. They take their time and I appreciate that. I tend to do a pedicure on a more regular basis and it always lasts for an extended period of time without chipping. I've been here two times now and I've loved both experiences. Both girls who did my nails were detailed and precise, taking their time to make sure that my nails looked good. I'm especially grateful and happy with their work because even though i usually go around 6ish, they take a little more than a hour to finish my nails, even after the salon is closed, and the end result is great! I was looking for a new place to get my nails done that was less expensive and read the reviews on Yelp. I decided to give it a try and booked an appointment for 10:0 on Saturday. I agree that the place was nice and clean and the people were very friendly. My basic mani pedi was $26 and I think it was another $6 for french polish. I dropped it by one star because while I had made an appointment, which I never do for nails, I still had to wait half an hour for them to start. One of the downsides of having a smaller place is that you can't accomodate as much walk-in traffic. But I felt that by having an appointment that they should have made sure someone was available. They still got me out on time, so I did appreciate that. But I dropped it another star because by Monday morning, half of my nails already had chips in it. I took a pic, but felt bad posting it. I went in with my bestie to get our nails done after our bad experience in the previous salon we visited that left our nails ugly, chipping, and SUPER thick! Luckily the miracle workers here at T & H worked their magic and made our nails look PERFECT! I've been looking all throughout Tustin and Santa Ana and this is the ONLY place that I've come across that does powder nails. They are amazing! The service is GREAT and the staff is ALL super friendly here and they'll go Above and beyond to make sure your satisfied. Ask for Van she's the best, super friendly and a perfectionist. Honestly...I don't understand how this place got 4.5 stars. I just came home from getting my weekly mani/pedi. My pedicure is decent but my manicure is really bad. 2 of my nails have already chipped and in the sunlight the coats are completely uneven. See attached picture. Not to mention the lady cut my cuticle and it's still burning. This place didn't feel clean and the people weren't very friendly either. While everyone was very friendly, I didn't like the fact that I couldn't sit with my friends. They weren't very accommodating when it came to this. They only have a few spa chairs (I think 3?) and the nail salon area is just tucked all the way in the back of the hair salon. Not only that but my nails didn't last! It started to bubble and chip the next day and I got gel! My friend's gem fell off the same day too. Horrible. I've had better... Don't think I'll be back. The owner (Cathy?) was very friendly and asked me what brought me to the salon. I told her that I was from out of town for a convention and that I found her shop on Yelp. She then gave me a 10% discount, which was very much appreciated. I had a deluxe pedicure and gel French manicure for less that $60- sweet! I had an hour to kill before brunch so I decided to walk in and try this place. There was no wait at 10am on a Saturday which was good. I asked for French tip gel manicure which was $25, very affordable price! I had a young girl who did my nails. I told her I had to be at brunch by 11am, which gave her an hour. An hour is more than enough time for a manicure, usually only takes 30-45 minutes at other places. She recommended a square tip instead of round tip so I decided to try it out. She was not professional, her hands were shaky and she kept messing up. Every time I pointed out a mistake, she just made an excuse about my nails being bad and not fixing them. She took a lot of time cleaning my nails which made her rush during painting them! Also she kept having to stop since it was such a tight space and other technicians were trying to get nail polish, etc. She also did my massage at the end so it was super short and not good at all. Overall, I was late by 10 minutes to my brunch, and she didn't seem to care about that. At my brunch, I noticed she made my square tips crooked, going at a upwards slant which made them sharp. Also the white gel she used was not good and made bubbles on my nails. It has been less than a week later, and my gel nails are coming off already! I am sorely disappointed by this place and will never return. I do not recommend this place. read more

I've been doing my nails myself because I've been so dissatisfied with the service and cleanliness at other nail salons, but about 3 months ago, I had an important job interview and decided I needed a professional to work on my nails and toenails. After reading every review on Yelp for nail salons in my area, I decided to try T&H. The place is spotlessly clean and the ladies are very friendly, but not overly so. I brought a book and no one tried to chat me up -- I just wanted to relax and be pampered. Bottom line: My nails and feet looked great. I maintained them myself for 3 months, and then went back again yesterday for some more heavy duty maintenance. I received the same high quality service that I did the first time -- the woman working on my feet spent about an hour trying to get rid of all my hangnails and calluouses. She worked so hard! Even though it was almost closing time, she didn't rush or give me any kind of attitude. I can't believe how great my feet look!!! I'm definitely going back, and I won't wait three months next time. Total cost: $25 for pedi with callous removal, extra massage and sea scrub, $12 for manicure, and $5 for bang trim -- oh yeah, they do hair too! I tipped them really well for their hard work and left feeling fantastic. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I come either Monday thru Wednesdays for their mani/pedi special. You get both for $25! They do an amazing job and really take their time with your mani/pedis. This place is a full salon! You can get your hair cut, nails done, facials, etc. They have a variety of gel colors and offer gloves for your hand to protect from the UV.
