I recently purchased my wife's engagement ring and wedding band from Tyler and I highly recommend working with him or at the very least paying him a visit. I was very skeptical about working with jewelers before meeting Tyler. He is very, very easy to work with. We had shopped most of the local jewelry chains and a handful of independent custom jewelers and Tyler was by far the best in all areas. The retail chains lacked originality and the quality of their stones seemed very average and over priced. A lot of the independent jewelers that we met with all had great quality products, but were all high pressure and substantially over priced; they sold on the idea that custom designed rings came with a much higher price tag. Prior to meeting Tyler, we had visited an independent jeweler in Bellevue who had a very nice store. We let him know what we were looking for and he quoted us a price that was way out of our budget. I happened to reach out to Tyler, told him what I was looking for and he was able to do a similar design that had an additional 2Cts for 1/3 of the price. And during our diamond hunt, he had brought in a handful of diamonds for us to look at. I happened to find a couple stones online that I was interested in and he was able to bring in similarly spec'd stones around the same price in just a few days. Once all the decisions were made, I asked him if he could have it all wrapped up in a few weeks and he was able to do it. I just got my engagement ring from T. Anthony Jewelers last night on Valentines Day and I can't be any happier! This ring is so perfect and Tyler did a great job throughout the whole process of getting it designed and made. My fiancee proposed to me 3.5 months ago, with a pretty standard round brilliant solitaire from Shane Co. My taste for jewelry is a little funky and I don't want to have a ring that looks mass produced. I like things that are unique and artistic. So even though I was really excited about the proposal, I knew the ring he proposed with wasn't the one for me. Since Shane Co. has a 60 days return policy, we returned the ring and went on the journey to find the perfect ring together. Unlike me, my fiancee's taste is very simple and classic. He likes the solitaire look. Together, we probably went to 6 jewelers and we had a really hard time finding a ring that we both liked. I stumbled into Tyler's office by accident because I read good reviews online and he's located right by my work. At first I was a little skeptical because his office is definitely not your typical jewelry retail store. It's in a small office downtown and he's the only staff. But then he explained to me that he does custom design work and we will pick out a stone together first, then design a ring around it. I thought that may be a good option for me and my fiancee since it's so difficult for us to find an already made ring that we both enjoy . Working with Tyler was great! He really listened to our needs and was able to find quality stones through his connections. Unlike some of the retailed jewelers I encountered, Tyler is pleasant with a great attitude. He was always able to provide good recommendations and I never felt pressured from him like sometimes I would with other jewelers. At the end, he designed a ring that both me and my fiancee love!! I'm a firm believer that everything happens in life for a reason. I fell in love with a specific engagement ring design at another local jeweler across town. Unfortunately, while my ring design was beautiful, the experience wasn't great. When it became time to start the hunt for the perfect wedding band, several friends raved and recommended T Anthony. We met just before Thanksgiving. My first impression of Tyler was everything and more of what others had boasted about; he was professional, personable and incredibly talented. And what are the odds? I learned he actually is the original designer of my ring that I fell in love with and bought at the first shop across town! Tyler grew up in the jewelry business (I think he's at least the 4th generation) and my first jeweler is his sister. Such a small world! The holidays are often the craziest time of the year for most people and due to some unanticipated staffing crises, communication wasn't optimal. Tyler reached out to us and sincerely apologized for the experience we had while he went into survival mode over the holidays. He made himself and his services readily available to my fiancé and I. He also offered us a generous discount if we would give him another chance. Life is really about 10% of what happens to us and about 90% is about how we react and ride the highs and lows. I'm impressed with anyone who is has the ego strength to say 'I wasn't my best' and puts the time and work in to make it right. When we met with Tyler a second time, we had a phenomenal experience. By the time I visited my my second retail store and decided to buy my diamond online. (Best decision ever). Every store I went to from there wanted to try and lecture me on the risks of buying a diamond online and how I should be buying with them (50% increase cost). Not once did Tyler make me feel that way, in fact he helped me and supported that decision! By helping evaluate whether the diamond I had bought elsewhere was a good purchase. Where do I start? Tyler is awesome! Tyler is a great jewelry designer and this is why...1) He listens to you, this is particularly important when you're designing a ring from scratch (which I did). 2) He has good taste. If you aren't 100% sure of what you want, or even if you are, he makes great suggestions and knows how to make your end product beautiful. 3) He cares about good craftsmanship. He's not the one creating the prongs for your pave diamonds, he's picked steadier hands than his to do the actual settings. 4) He's honest and not super salesman like. 5) He's so responsive! I am seriously neurotic and had a bajillion questions for him but he answered them all and in a timely fashion. I probably went to his place 3-4 times to get my custom ring completed and he's great. Price wise, Tyler is super reasonable given the fact that he does CUSTOM work. I was quoted much higher for what I had wanted by numerous other jewelry stores. I'll be back for any jewelry repairs or future custom work without a doubt! I wish there was some way I could upload the pics of my new ring so that people reading reviews could see his work!
