I purchased internet here and Paramount & Hulu subscriptions came free with the purchase. I tried to use my phone at home to subscribe but just couldn't. Went back to the store two time in two days. The employees there told me everytime that only customer service 611 could help me. I tried and called 611 and they were not much help at all. I read here that someone went to Plaza at West Covina to try and get help and bingo! They can help you there! They helped me too, thank God. A huge THANK YOU to Gris at Plaza at West Covina. I've been in T-Mobile for over 10 years and I have never had to pay so much like im doing right now!! I pay a RIDICULOUS $235 a month for the worst service and I'm over it!!! My mother went in to make a payment on a payment arrangement already established. She proceeded to ask the male employee what the amount of that arrangement was, to which the employee answered "no way to check here" that he couldn't see that information. He said she could only pay the full amount that was showing. My mother is older and is not tech savvy or informed of T-Mobile privacy policies, although she is authorized not once was she asked. So she took his word not know what rights she had as an authorized user which again he as a frontline employee / customer service representative should have given her the correct steps to take to get the balance.She had to put out the entire amount because this representative didn't want to simply do his job by just asking if she was authorized, he could have at least informed her to call care. He obviously lacking knowledge or care for his position to work in an environment where helping or even simply assisting a person is required. It's so hurtful to take advantage of someone who isn't informed of their options. Just honestly so bothered by the service and lack of empathy for an older customer. I received the bill in 2 days and I was charged for the internet service. I went to cancel the internet service and was told I had to pay for it and they would credit my next bill. I wish I could give 0 stars! Associate Victoria was horrible customer service! Went in to return my old phones I upgraded, as I was told by customer service over the phone that I was able to go into any store locations to do so. All 5 associates were leaned over the tables on their phones, asked what I came in for I said to return my phones and they said they don't do that in store and I was given return labels to ship out my self.... I said I was told to come in store and all of a sudden she said let me see if I can. She then says no she can't and the system hasn't been working that day and has been down. I said it's fine I'll go to another store and she told me no other store would be able to since the system is down. I said thank you bye and left because it felt like they didn't even want to help in the first place. I called the West Covina location in the mall, explained the situation and if they were able to accept and return my phones they said to come on in! I went to the West Covina location and alerted them that they might not be able to since the system is down like I was told, they explained to me that their system was never down and working perfectly, it too 10 minutes to help return my phones. I want to leave a review for the service representative who was sarcastic and very rude upon entering the store. She was standing at the door outside of T-Mobile when she asked me for my drivers license, she was very rude. I asked her why are we doing this outside and not inside, he response was that it's not about being inside the store, outside is where she's going to help me. Her attitude was very sarcastic and she laughed along with the other associate when I asked for a manager. First he wasn't there, then he was at lunch, then all of a sudden he's there. The manager Chris was very helpful and very polite. He took me inside the store and took care of me. I cannot stress enough how rude this employee was... her name was Brenda. This is the face and attitude T-Mobile uses to represent their company when a customer comes in? Then she rolled her eyes... I was done!!! I called the corporate off and spoke to Tim C. TLDR: Most of the staff is helpful, don't be afraid to ask for someone else. You walk in and guess what? It's like every T-Mobile store you've been to. A little more time there and its a little bit more clear, good sales, okay customer service. They're help me plenty of times but their lack of "nerds" is disheartening. I'm a lame and will read article upon article on what I'm into. So when I go to a phone store, I expect them to know at least as much as I do. The sad truth is that most of them know more about sales than technology. Where there is some saving grace is they they care, or most do. I make an appointment to buy a phone for my elderly mother! Get the phone and ask, "would you please transfer the contacts to new phone. This procedure is standard! Young lady says, of course, no problem. I call, on hold for five minutes, transfer call, not the same young lady. They ask to go back!!!! Go back!!!! What's the point of the appointment and paying $20 for store help, online you save that $20. So, I laid $20 for in store for service and I'm not satisfied. Terrible!!!! Worst experience I've ever had. If you are looking for a new phone, do yourself a favor and purchase it online. I recently lost my phone and due to the fact that I did not have insurance on it, I had to buy a new phone. I came in to this store, since it was closeby, but didn't bother checking their ratings online. Big mistake. A gentleman assisted me and told me I was due for an upgrade and thus could get any phone and all I had to pay was the taxes and fees. Too good to be true right? Well I then proceeded to ask if there would be any other monthly fees I would have to pay and he said no. I was a bit shocked since I couldn't believe I could walk out of the store with a brand new phone and only pay $200.00 I asked more than once if I would have other fees or additional monthly charges for upgrading to a new phone. Once again, the gentleman said no. At this point I was sold, so I decided to purchase the phone. About a week passes by and I get my bill with and additional fee of $30.00 and wouldn't you know that the fee pertains to the new phone. So I call T-Mobile and am told that this fee is my monthly payment for the phone. At this point I'm just confused, but quickly realize that the individual who sold me the phone did not provide me with all the information when I was in store. Luckily I was still able to return the phone so I immediately took it back and returned it. Now I understand that I should have read the contract and receipt a bit closer, but when you have your salesmen telling customers that they will only be paying a particular amount, it is only ethical to ensure that is correct. I am still purchasing the same phone, but will be doing so online. A store that's managed in such a way where salesmen do not provide accurate information, or even worse, omit information just to make a sale, do not deserve anyone's money. read more

Do not work with James. First of all i traded in a phone and opened up a new line. We got paper work started and i see him writing a new number. I asked a new number? And he responds with i mentioned that earlier. (I figured maybe i didnt hear him and didnt say anything about it) when he wrote the number..i found out a day later the wrote the number incorrectly. 2nd, he came out with a 5g internet tower and told me it was free. ( he did not once mention the 2 week free trial and it would be 40 a month. 3rd he added a line that connects to a watch. ( i do not own a watch whats so ever. 4th he charged me for an 20 watt adaptor that i did not purchase. After talking to customer service i returned the 5 g tower internet and he once again said "as i mentioned last time" . I also got a refund for the 20 watt charger without worry. The reason why he didnt check cameras if i bought the adaptor is because these guys work for commision. He also gave me a receipt that was poorly printed meaning the printer was almost out of ink. Therefore he charged me 3 extra things without my knowledge. To end this James will not mention extra fees because again they are paid min wage + comission. Do yourself a favor and find a corporate office like the one in west covina mall. James is a fraud and will use the excuse " i mentioned earlier" to put it on the customer. I was greeted with smiles and a positive attitude despite being confused about a couple of questions I had regarding my plan. Went in feb. 13th p/u ip11 and the max and ported a line over total 6 phones, the sales people are all about them Making commission, we the public go in to get the best option possible not get told one thing and turn around and get something different, I was told my bill was going to be $265.00 when I got my bill it was $330.00 that's a big jump!! I came in to get a new phone and was greeted right away by the staff. The place was clean and very well kept. An employee named Jhon came and helped me right away. He helped me pick a phone, since I wasn't quite sure which phone to get, and the whole process probably took about 10 minutes. Last time I got a phone it took about 30 minutes to set everything up, so I was really surprised by how fast he got everything done. Worst customer service ever, I went in back in April to get new cellphone everything appeared to be so good. Until the time they said they were gonna give me two screen protectors and two cases each cover for $10.00 Next month my bill went up with a difference of $50.00 what was my surprise? It was that they were charging every month for those accessories $40 for the each screen protector and $50 for each cover . I went back to the store and they said they were gonna give me a store credit of $70 on two of my bills, well until now that haven't happen yet . I came in for a screen protector and told the employee and he just went and grabbed one and started to ring us up not asking if that's the one we wanted or offering other options because this one was $40 for a screen protector. He said it has lifetime warranty and is one of the best so I guess it was fine. 2 weeks later it already cracked and I haven't even dropped my phone. So it's not even good quality and when I came in again to use the life time warranty they continued to say it's not through them that I have to online ship it back etc. The customer service was unpleasant both times I went and would return the screen protector but they don't do that either. Very disappointed I came into this store and two of he employee blocked me at the entrance. The manager Kevin never allowed me into the store because he stated I needed a T-Mobile account in order to purchase cell phone I wanted to buy a phone cash as a gift. However, I couldn't do that because Kevin stated I needed my wife's account info or I had to Be on her account in order for me to purchase a cell phone. Very shady to me and very unheard of I even called T-Mobile 800 number to explain what had just happened to me even they where I'm shock.
