I loved the purple purple drink (taro and brown sugar) I got! It looks pretty AND delicious! To me it wasn't too sweet but you can adjust sugar levels if needed! I also had the house special Noodles - pho which I thought was a bit pricey but the portion is huge! The soup was slightly on the oilier tasting end but overall still good! The environment was nice and reminded me of Gongcha in Annandale. First off, I've been here many times but I was unimpressed this time. I ordered the so pink crepe with an extra scoop of mango ice cream. The crepe was bad, it's more of a plain thin crispy pancake and the strawberry tasted old. For the drink, I feel like I'm drinking perfume. It's so bitter with strong floral scent in it. Now, I don't know if it's because I didn't want cream cheese and regular sweetness that's why it's bad, maybe, but one thing I'll be sure of is not to order this again. It was also under "fruit tea" menu so I'd assume it would be tea, but it's a smoothie, how confusing! Anyway, I didn't have a good impression with the girl that took my order. I tried this place when it first opened and didn't think I would return, but I'm so glad I did!! I didn't realize how much bubble tea has evolved. I got the Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam and it was soo good!! I like that you can request different levels of sweetness! The rice noodle bowl with mango topping was huge, too! I also like that they use compostable bowls, so I don't have to feel as bad about eating out. I didn't think I would be so jazzed about the pre-packaged Asian snacks, but was excited to stock up on matcha and strawberry KitKats. I also bought some dried durian for my sister's boyfriend as a gag gift. I'll have to go back another time and get more things for myself like Vietnamese coffee grounds and stash tea. YESSSSS move over, Kung Fu Tea! So glad a new boba spot has come to Sterling. The quality of Tzone's boba is a little inconsistent--the first time I got it, it was too soft, but it was perfectly chewy the second time around. They brew their tea in house, which is good, but their cheese foam leaves a bit to be desired (compared to Moge Tee for example, it's not that thick and you can't taste the salty cheese flavor). However, the owners are incredibly friendly and willing to talk about the menu with you. There's also plenty of seating, nice lighting, outlets, board games, and free WiFi. It must be soft, slightly chewy, with a great flavor, and this place checks all of those boxes. The staff was helpful and answered any questions that we had... Don't expect you're going to get what you thought you were "suppose" to get. For 12 bucks, the freaking girl put the toppings instead of the drink, she put them in a separate plastic container saying it'll topple over. Oh really??? Then why bother advertise an item that's not doable! On top of that, providing toppings that was not part of the order! Instead of telling me that she had to provide a substitute, no freaking explanation! We've been excited to try this place out, and today just happened to feel like a treat day. I placed an order through doordash for pickup, and the order was finished 10 minutes earlier than expected- great for us because we arrived early. But I could see how this could be problematic if you got something with ice cream and it was just sitting there and waiting for you. The lady behind the counter seemed very busy! We got one taro ice blend less sweet with boba, one monster mango less sweet, and one creme brulee macaron ("macaroon" on the menu which is incorrect but I'm not judging based on that ). - The taro with bubbles was okay- nothing special, but not bad. The boba had a decent texture but a little on the soft side (better than too hard, but not as chewy as I like) - The monster mango looked amazing when picking up, just like it does in everyone's pictures! But it was incredibly sweet which made me question whether or not they saw the note to make the drink less sweet. The mango chunks in it didn't really add anything, and they were chopped too big to slurp through the straw. The mango ice cream that came on top was yummy, and less sweet than the actual drink. - The creme brulee macaron flavor was on point!- but the texture was all wrong. The macaron cookie part was hard and crispy (think of an overcooked cookie). No crisp outer shell with a chewiness that you would expect from a legit macaron. And the filling was so soft that it just all spilled out when I tried to take a bite of it (again because the cookie part was so hard). I haven't read through the other reviews, but this place is rated so highly!!?! I wouldn't mind coming back here to try the food and the other desserts because the flavors all really look tempting!! But will most likely stay away from the drinks and the macarons. read more

Everything we've tried here has been great. They've become our go-to for nearby boba/dessert during the pandemic. We usually call in our order on our way over, though we have seen people eating inside as well. The cup Bing su is has a nice mix of things (the strawberry one is really tasty, though it's icy and not milky bing su), and the drinks we've tried have all been good (matchas, marbles, Oreo, and purple purple so far). Their boba is delicious- sweet and warm and just the right texture. Service is always nice and friendly too. They lose a star because nothing is clear on their menus- online or in the store. I'd like to try more things but don't know what most things are and have to keep asking, which gets annoying. I'm also a little less adventurous lately for personal reasons, or I'd be more likely to just try random things. They should have at least one menu somewhere that lists out what's in their different items, especially considering their menu is pretty long and pretty vague. Their menu on seamless seems to have a little more detail about some of the honey toasts and waffles, but it's incomplete too. Hope they can work on this soon so we can get excited to try some new things! read more

I give this place a 1 star, mainly for the service and ambiance. We walked in and saw several couples and a family with small kiddos. We ordered the nutella/banana honey cake (which def needed to a shared dessert) and sat down at a couch (limited seating). I was SHOCKED to hear the music playing had the f bomb drop every few words. And it was so loud, I couldn't have a convo with my partner without hearing the foul language. Song, after song. We left because of it. And people wonder why there is so much wrong with our society, this business helped promote just that. And the service from what seemed to be a 12 year old boy was not professional, or organized. Idk how to describe it but it basically has a similar texture of soggy bread. 0/5 Durian ice blend was more coconutty then durian which is a surprised since you're paying the $6 something price tag for durian not durian diluted with coconut 2/5 The purple purple was really sweet and and overwhelming taste of artificial at the end of it. 0/5 The fruit tea - Maybe its just me but I don't get why theres huge pieces of fruits in the cup. It looks nice yes but the fruit isn't really infused into the tea so basically you get tea with fruits in it that you'll have to cut open the cup to get to with a fork with ? (plus, for my drink, i had an orange rind cut as a whole round slice instead of wedges like the apple so the only way to eat the orange was to tear off the rind to get to the center ) So you just paid for half a cup of tea with large fruits as decor. 1/5 Peach oolong cheese cream - The only thing i liked from here. Its nice and freshing and comes with a cute round butt cup. I regretted not getting more of this tbh 5/5 Tldr; Drinks mostly seem too sweet/artificial/overpriced. If I ordered pasta at a restaurant and immediately ask for less salt because I assumed that it would be too salty for my taste (without ever trying the dish) wouldn't it be my fault if the dish came out and the pasta was bland? Any negative review you guys do have seems to be that your drinks are bland or too sweet. I kept that in mind when ordering. I also saw your reply to someone complaining about a drink and how you said all sales are final unless the mistake was made on your end. So if ordered less sweet because I was scared some yelpers were right about it being too sweet and your drinks come out not sweet enough then it would be my fault and not yours since all drinks are final sale. If its final sale then I should expect my drinks to taste agreeable to most people in sweetness and flavor. Had it been one drink and sweetness been the only factor I would've left a higher review because thats an overal preference but 4/5 drinks had a sweetness problem and flavor/texture problem (i had given away my drinks to my boyfriend and family members who all said it was too sweet/artifical and we just threw it all out so it wasn't just my own preference ). I'm glad you don't use artificial syrup for your fruit tea. That wasn't my problem with it but the lack of any flavor in the tea which could be solved if maybe you soaked it in the fruits longer.
