Hi Yelpers! I just visited this Tea 4 U today for the first time and did not know what to expect other than they had good reveiws. I was looking at their menu and they had choices of earl grey tea or jasmine tea for the regular milk tea I ordered. The milk tea was just right with sweetness, I ordered the standard sweetness and 30% ice. Ice you can choose: More, Standard, 80%, 30% and 0%. Sweetness: Standard, 80%, 50%, 30%, and 0%. I will attach a picture of the menu and what the place looks like. In addition, the size cups they have are medium which is pretty small or large. I did not know the cup sizes they had so they lady asked if I wanted medium and did not mention the large size. So I would have ordered size large if I knew what the medium size looked like. This T4U is conveniently located in the Raleys shopping center in Natomas. I love that this location is easy to get to and has lots of parking. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They have a pretty extensive menu but I usually stick to my two favorites Jasmine milk tea or Thai tea with boba. Since theses drinks tend to be pretty sweet I always get them 30% sweet with 30% ice. The staff do a pretty good job of cranking out drinks quickly but on a busy day it could definetly take a while. Some other things to note are this location is pretty small but there are a few tables and board games for anyone that wants to hang out. Also on some days they generously donate a portion of their proceeds to the neighborhood Catholic church Divine Mercy. read more

Bow Down To The Boba!! This place, ahhhhhhh, where to start? I was on the hunt, i repeat, THE HUNT for a great boba place is Natomas. I'm constantly trying new flavors, new combinations and T4U delivered! Location: It's located in a bustling shopping area around lots of food joints and right across the street from Sleep Train Arena. There is plenty to do, which is great because we decided to get dinner and then boba for dessert. The location is super convenient and right next to a Ralley's so you can do your weekly grocery shopping with bubble tea in one hand. Ambience: It's not a huuuuge boba shop but there's not many big boba stores out there. It's very clean and there are plenty of booths to sit at. THEY HAVE BOARD GAMES!! (scoooore!) What a better way to pass the time besides drinking boba and playing a friendly game of Sorry! Customer Service: The two workers helping me were fantastic. It was my first time at T4U so they were incredibly patience and helpful. My friend couldn't decide on what to order and they gave him tips on what combinations are the best. It was slow so they even delivered my drink to the table with a straw, how sweet! Drinks: The menu was a little bit confusing because half of it was in a language I'm not familiar with. Also, the titles for each section were printed sideways so I was embarrassed when tilting my head to the side. The taste was, WOW. I decided to taste the egg pudding for a change and I did not regret it! I got the caramel boba with egg pudding and it was heaven for my tastebuds. The caramel was true to it's natural taste and the egg pudding was simple perfection. My friend liked it so much he was drinking from mine AND his lol. This place is not bad for a tea spot. Its always busy because of the location I think and they have an extensive menu. First time I ordered an apple tea with rainbow jelly which was ok. Second time, I had their Mango Royal Tea with cream and it was good and refreshing. I kind of got overwhelmed with the menu so the third time I ordered same exact thing lol. Color me impressed! I am always excited about the opening of new pearl milk tea/boba/bubble tea/whatever you want to call it places, so when I saw T4 U pop up on Yelp one day, I knew it was only a matter of time before I found my way over. The standard by which I judge all pearl milk tea places is their regular milk tea or their jasmine green milk tea, as the rest of the milk tea drinks generally are generally based off of the regular milk tea. The prices here are comparable to what you would find at other place: $2.75 base tea, $0.50 extra for one topping. I made the mistake of rattling off my order too quickly without thinking about it and neglected to specify "jasmine green milk tea WITH boba," and the person ringing me up didn't say anything, so I ended up with just the tea and no boba. Sad times. The tea itself is pretty good though. The flavor is pretty light and unlike some other chains, doesn't taste like its been sitting around for hours. I asked for 80% sweetness and that was a good level for me. I think the big selling point of T4 U is the snacks. The thai basil popcorn chicken was actually pretty good-- I am normally a big fan of popcorn chicken anyway, but they make it quite well here. It's something about the way they batter the chicken-- it makes it feel lighter, but the chicken itself is also pretty tender. They offer takoyaki and a decent selection of other snacks as well, which is always a plus at boba places. tl;dr: Pretty good tea and pretty good snacks. We stopped by on our way to the airport for a snack. They're only one freeway exit away from SMF so it's pretty convenient! This location is in a plaza with Raley's and a bunch of other establishments so there's plenty of parking available :) We came in around 2pm and it was a bit busy but the line wasn't too long and there were tables available by the time we were ready to sit down after ordering. The wait for our order was very reasonable. I got my usual: basil popcorn chicken and Thai milk tea with boba (50% sweetness, 30% ice). I like that they have the spice shaker on the condiments table so you can control the spice. The chicken goes pretty well with the sweet chili sauce too! I also got to try my boyfriend's Pearl milk tea with boba (also 50% sweetness, 30% ice) which was good as well :) I really like T4 especially because you can customize your drinks to your preference. Both milk teas did taste just a bit more watered down than what I'm used to at the T4 in Stockton but still good! Overall we had a great visit! I'm sure we'll be back again :) read more

T4 is probably my favorite Boba spot when I'm craving a Boba drink. My only complaint about the Natomas location is the workers. I've been to this location many times, and every single time I am here I am constantly hearing the employees loudly discuss conversations that are not pertaining to work which hold up the time from other customers and myself from getting our orders. It is unprofessional and a nuisance when coming here having to wait for the employees to finish their outside conversations before getting my order. I'm not aware of how lenient management is, but I hope changes are made when it comes to customer service. read more

I've been on a boba kick lately so I decided to try T4 U when I heard it had opened. I thought it was just okay...it wasn't bad, but I've definitely had better. I ordered a large iced green milk tea with boba. They ran out of boba that day so no boba for me. Sad face. Plus it was kind of unfortunate that a place that sells boba actually ran out of boba. Anyway, the green milk tea was pretty good. I also noticed on the menu that they allow you to adjust the amount of sugar and ice in your drink, but be warned, they don't ask you for your preferences when you order. My drink was about 75% filled with ice, so I didn't get much tea for ~$5. The interior was bright, clean and there were plenty of tables. They also had a few board games in the corner in case you want to stay and finding your primarily ice filled drink. I think they have the potential to be good, but they need to change a few things first. I won't be back anytime soon. read more

Alright, so I totally raved about their popcorn chicken in my previous review and how obsessed I was! I don't even ever get it anymore. Not that it's not good, but I had way too much of it that I can't even have it anymore. I'm crazy, lol. The other day, to my surprise, I craved for some! So I went and got some. Three things: 1) price increased 2) they give a lot less than before! 3) I am actually still sick of it, I only ate half. I was at the greenhaven t4 location the other day and the popcorn chicken orders were filled over the top of the boxes! Go there for popcorn chicken. They def have become a bit stingy with their chicken here now. But their drinks, I love their drinks! 30% ice, 80% sweet, always. My milk tea fix stays with t4. read more

It's very casual and easy going. You can come in and hangout with friends or take a drink and some snacks to go. It's similar to Taiwan and you decide what percentage of sugar and ice to add. The bubble drinks are pretty fresh tasting. I have had the pearl milk tea and a hot ginger milk tea. Both amazing. I would go again. They also have a wide array of flavors and drink add-ons. This place is great! I recently moved to Sacramento from the Bay Area and I have been wanting to find a decent boba place to hang out at. Now that T4 came to Sacramento, I am satisfied and have a "legit" place to go to. I came here 3 times already and tried some milk teas and flavored teas. Their Jasmine Green Tea (my usual drink) tastes flavorful and fresh. Their milk teas taste sweet, and there's a lot of unique selection to try. In my opinion, their drinks taste better than any other place in the Sacramento area. Their takoyaki, calamari, and mantou(I forgot how to say it in English) and other snacks are all good. Everyone working here is friendly and energetic when I go. It is also a plus that the owners speak Mandarin and Cantonese since those are my preferred language. The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. If anyone in Sac hasn't tried T4 yet, I recommend that you come here. I no longer go to South Sac to get boba, now I come to T4 in Natomas. BF & I both got the winter melon milk tea with pearl. I have a sweet tooth so I got the standard sweetness while my BF got 50% sweetness. He said his drink was still really sweet and next time he'll get 30% instead. We both liked the milk tea, it taste just like the gourd can drinks you can get at Asian supermarkets. The pearl was soft and chewy and it took no more than 5 mins for our drinks to be ready. Lots of selections to choose from. They even have snacks. I like to get the basil popcorn chicken here, drinks are okay. Mr. Sun and Lazy cow are better in terms of staff and professionalism. T4 workers gossip a little too much when customers are present. I called before hand if I could place an order for pick up but a worker said t4 didnt take orders over the phone which was fine and recommended their website. I tried to order on their website but it says t4 is closed and won't take orders until 11:45am. Everything was okay, inconvenient, but i was okay with those options however when I came in person to place my order the girl who took my order gossiped with her coworker in front of me about "some lady tried to place an order online the phone...and like it wasn't..." was laughing and then she stopped talking to finish taking my order. I wish they were more considerate of my presence. If they were talking about another customer i would feel uncomfortable because it is unprofessional and unreasonable to judge customers that way. This was my favorite spot to come with friends but feels like their staff now have poor customer service and are no longer customer friendly or welcoming. Won't be coming back anymore. Good boba drinks, mediocre service. I like the fact that you can customize your drink in terms of sweetness and ice. The boba is pretty good here (although I have high, Southern California standards). If you don't like boba, they have tons of other add ins so there is something for everyone. The tea was really good as well but if you're looking for 100 different options like a particular flavor smoothie or snow, you're not going to find it here. In terms of the service, there's a guy there with a bad attitude. We asked if something could be customized, he overheard us and walked over to the girl taking orders and told her not to do it. When I heard about this place opening in Sacramento, I was a little excited. I'm from Bay Area and milk tea places populate Bay Area like Starbucks populates corners. And Sacramento lacks some good milk tea places. I came here about a month ago and got a large royal milk tea. The taste was ok but not the best. 10 mins later my drink was gone, I finished it. I was surprised because I didn't even drink that much. Then I looked at my cup at it was 3/4 full of ice! That is really messed up. I paid almost $5 for this drink that was more than half of just ice. I know we can customize ice level, but usually I never have to, I'm fine with the regular amount of ice. But this was ridiculous. Very disappointing. My boyfriend and I tried decided to give them another try a couple nights ago. He got regular milk tea and I got the green tea topped with cream. He made sure to ask for less ice. He didn't like his drink. Mine was ok, but the cream tasted a little dour. I know some places use the sea salt cream, but this place didn't state its sea salt so don't know why it was sour. But after a total of 3 drinks here, and let down by all of them, don't think we will be coming back. 2 stars for the servers. Came here for the first time today but I've been meaning to check it out. There's been a ton of tapioca/tea places opening up lately in Natomas. I am always super tempted by the places with drinks and food. I couldn't really decide what to get so I just got a chocolate smoothie- I know exotic right? It was good, it was a chocolate shake so it was not hard to do right. I really came here to try the Basil Chicken and I was not disappointed. The chicken was crispy and fresh, it had spice but it wasn't hot. I would definitely order it again. The customer service was great but there are ways to customize your drink. The cashier was very helpful and patient since it was my first time at this particular store. Comparing it to Tapioca Express and Quickly, id say that the food is comparable to Quickly, but the selection of drinks at Tapioca Express & Quickly were more varied. One thing that they do have going for them is the flavors, while Tapioca Express and Quickly have more familiar flavors, T4 is more exotic and I hope to try something new next time! read more

Brand new boba spot in Sacramento! Fresh decor inside, hip atmosphere, and friendly staff. Came here at around 3:00pm on a Sunday and it was a pretty decent crowd. We were greeted by a friendly hello and started to look at the menu. We decided on a Kumquat Lemon Green Tea and a Apple Royal Tea. Both SO delicious and refreshing! Great balance between tea and sweetness. The only down side to this place is its too far from me! Despite that, I will most likely be back often for some delicious snacks and drinks! read more

I've always heard that sacramento boba isn't that fantastic, at least compared to the multitude of places available in Southern California. However, T4U has a pretty wide selection of boba that is pretty tasty. I tried the Panda Milk Tea ($3.55 - essentially earl milk tea with normal black tapioca and the white agar tapioca), the normal earl grey milk tea($2.75), and the classic rose milk tea ($3.50). To get a large it is $0.50 extra which is pretty good. You can choose to get 0%, 30%, 80%, standard, or more ice. Also, 0%, 30%, 50%, 80%, standard sweetness. I personally think the standard is way too sweet so I always get half. As for food, I tried the Basil popcorn chicken ($4.50). It wasn't too fatty and it was a nice a crunchy texture wth not too much batter. I also, had the sweet poatoe fries which tasted less processed than usual, and were softer than the normal overly-crispy fries($3.50). You can add your own spices (salt and pepper/spicy powder) and get your own sauces (spicy and sour sauce/ketchup/sriracha). In terms of studying, they provide wifi, their hours are from 11am - 10pm everyday, and they have 6 tables that are pretty comfy. Upon walking in, the tables on the left hand side have outlets. Only issue is that the music is a tad loud, and it's pretty consistently busy but if you can study with background noise, it's a great spot. I plan to definitely come back and try everything on the menu since they all seem like a great deal! Edit: I came back the second day and tried the fried squid and the osthmantis royal tea. The tea was really weird... I ended up getting 30% sugar yet it was still too sweet so I had it remade with less sugar. It was still rather sweet but the cashier let me keep both drinks, which was very nice. The squid was very crisp and tasty (: not too much batter as the chicken was. It's typically pretty busy, so expect a wait and for it to be dirty. They don't have time to wipe tables, if one is even available for you to sit at. There are spills on the ground they don't attend to (which knowing America today: you're asking to be sued). The toilet was technically working last time I came, but the handle like broke off so they did some weird, homemade zip tie fix--not sure if that's allowed for food establishments. Just seemed unsanitary.. The workers, uhm, not sure how or why they were hired. I'm sorry, but some of them just look dirty (and good personal hygiene is a must for food service). They aren't good at taking orders, for some reason they can't hear well so I literally yell but they still don't hear me correctly (no, I'm not mumbling or anything either). I honestly just get disgusted every time I go here . I recommend the downtown location. read more

Way too sweet for and asked if I could get it remade. The cashier happily remade it and it came back out quickly. But it was still super sweet when I asked to cut the sweetener in half. Not sure what they are putting in the drinks but tastes like a lot like I'm drinking syrup. They play good hip hop and r&b music but I wouldn't come back for the drinks, just too sweet. **Update: Lowered my review because for the last three times that I have ordered my drink, they keep messing up. When I order the lychee green tea, they tell me it already comes with aloe. After messing up the first time, I have told them specifically to make sure there's aloe because they have messed up before. I have no problem paying an extra 50 cents for it. I drive from Davis just for this place!! So upon driving home and seeing for the third time that there is no aloe (it's hard to check, it blends in with the ice), I am beyond disappointed and am probably going to save my gas if my drinks can't even be made right. ------------ I loooove T4. I've always gone to the one in San Leandro. This place is totally worth the drive from Davis for me. Basil Popcorn Chicken - hands down, you must get this. It's amazing!! Honey Peach Royal Tea - got this 50% sweet and it was just right. Lychee Black Tea - too sweet at standard sweetness but has potential to be really good if ordered at 80% sweetness. FYI- I generally have a pretty sweet tooth but I'm also not sure how consistent they are with their sweetness levels. Add ons are 50 cents. Boba is perfectly soft and chewy. Aloe is good as well. The worst customer service! It took 30 minutes to get your drinks. They don't take phone order but they put online order via delivery service before assisting customers. The line is out the door on a Sunday afternoon with two staff working with no AC. Instead of assisting the customers in the store, they put online orders causing long time. Excellent service and wonderful teas . I love this place , and I like the fact that they offer free tea to essential workers who are on front lines against Covid 19. I wouldn't change anything about it , except there is one employee whom I saw working at Tapioca Express as well , she seems unfriendly and comes across too sharp as ill-mannered . I'm here quite often and usually stick to the teas because that's what I'm into. The mango with sea salt cream is also good. As for food, I really enjoy the basil popcorn chicken.
