Not sure if this particular location or I just keep coming on bad days. But I've never had a great experience here. I am a big fan of the T4 chain in other locations, but I try to avoid this one at all cost. Service: The service/cashier is always rude. Very impatient staff and barking out "what do you want?" or "are you ready yet?". But on the other hand, if I'm ready and they are having a conversation with each other, they will not pay attention to you until they finish having their conversation. Drinks: The drinks are okay. I think they are on par with other locations. Their boba are always overcooked in my opinion - too mushy. Overall: I would not recommend this T4 location. I would go over to iTea if you wanted some milk tea/boba. read more

The drinks at this T4 are fine. My most recent visit was on New Year's Day, which I was pleasantly surprised was open. The line was only 3 parties deep (maybe folks didn't know it was open), so I didn't wait too long for my order. Red Bean Milkshake (with extra Red Bean topping) for me, Sunny Fresh Fruit Tea with boba for her. The drinks tasted fine, no complaints. For COVID, only a few customers are allowed in. The staff here are rude and work extremely slow; it usually takes 20-45min for them to make 3 drinks, even when it isn't busy. I asked for elegant rose tea with 30% sweetness and 0% ice. This drink tastes like standard sweetness (I can tell). They had the audacity to put ice in my drink after repeating that I had ordered no ice. Also, I ordered 3 drinks in total but they doubled up on 2 of them, increasing my order by a lot. They claimed that drinks could only ordered as a large, which we all know isn't true. There's no point in asking them to fix your order, they will overextend the process and say that they forgot, adding an extra 20-30min to your wait time. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. As the workers here are disorganized. When you expect to just get your drinks after they have been made. But they look like a whole bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. I have seen customers who have came way past after me and leave with their drinks. I've been coming here a handful of times since the lockdown and I've had a positive experience every time. A few times I called ahead to order and when I got there, it was ready to go. My go-to order is always rose milk tea and popcorn chicken. Let me tell you, this is the best place to get Taiwanese style popcorn chicken in San Leandro! Each order is very consistent; crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You can also add chili powder for an extra kick! One thing to note is that if you are using a credit card, you'll need to sign the receipt. Make sure to bring your own pen and sanitize your card and hands afterwards. read more

Came here first time since pandemic. Quality of drink is up to par with the other boba places around the area. I have few drinks that I have for each place. For T4, my usual drinks are mango green tea with cream or Rose Tea with Aloe. Popcorn chicken are a bit spicy (believe it might be the way they marinate the chicken) without adding anything. Its perfect for me, but a bit of a problem for the little one. Prices are reasonable. Saw that they are offering shaved ice and will try to next time we visit. Hope it is from fresh ingredients. I've only been here a few times since I'm more of an iTea girl, which is just across the street. My friend lives nearby and this is her preferred boba shop so I've picked up drinks here for us. You wouldn't think that milk teas can taste that different from shop to shop but I can tell by the quality of their tea. I'm a tea lover and like my tea dark and strong. So if I'm getting a milk tea, I want a strong tasting tea with just a bit of milk. This place is okay. I usually get the rose milk tea, which is one of their specialties. After having lunch in the shopping complex, we decided to have boba for dessert, but ended up bring pretty disappointed in our drinks. Ordered a passionfruit green tea and the tea tasted fine, but the boba was not good - way too soft and not chewy or bouncy. Second drink was a special posted at the register called Mango Fanatics, but it wasn't what I expected at all. This is during the shelter-in-place order so I realize speaking through a mask isn't easy (goes both ways), but I tried to order a mango sago, and was told they were out. Really should change their hours online. We got there probably around 9:40PM (according to Yelp and Google, they're open until 11PM) and there were still workers there with the door wide open (it was raining and cold, so idk why the door was open lol) Walked in, and was rudely told that they closed at 9PM. This T4 is my go-to place for milk tea in San Leandro. After all, good boba options in this area are scarce. (I do also enjoy the i-Tea down the street though!) I normally stop by at night when it's not too busy, so I haven't encountered any issues with wait time. My drinks are usually ready within minutes and the order has always been correct. I normally order the rose milk tea with grass jelly (half sweet, half ice). T4's rose milk tea is my absolute favorite rose milk tea, and I pretty much order this drink at every T4 I go to. I also really like the consistency of the grass jelly. Other drinks, including regular black milk tea, are pretty standard here--not the best, but not bad. I haven't ordered food here, so I can't speak to that. Not sure I will bother trying it based on the bad reviews. I did notice on my last visit that they stopped doing rewards. They also stopped doing happy hour, but the drinks I order never qualified for HH anyway. Also, the tables usually need an extra wipe down or two, but I generally take my drinks to go. I'd give them 3/5 stars given these counts, but I didn't factor them into my rating since they don't really affect me. read more

I came here when they opened at 11am, and we placed our order right away, but I guess they weren't prepared because it took them more than 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. If they open at 11am, they should be prepared to make drinks instead of having us wait for so long. It's probably my fault for thinking T4 would be a good spot to order shaved ice since they're primarily a boba joint, but I was so hopeful. I ordered a Coconut ice with durian and basil seed, but I received a Durian ice with coconut jelly and bail seed instead. For $7, I would expect a larger portion and for the ice to come out in a proper bowl as shown on the menu photos versus a small to-go container. Another disappointing boba shop in San Leandro. I've been to this location a couple of times and have had to request for less milk as they tend to put too much milk (making my roasted oolong milk tea flavorless). I asked for the same this time: a regular roasted oolong milk tea with boba, 30% sugar and 30% ice. The worker was confused when I requested for less milk. They informed me that they use POWDER for their milk. Somewhat shocking and disappointing as I used to think T4 was a good boba chain that used actual milk. The boba itself was inconsistent. T4 is in my top 5 boba list. Quality of customer service has changed within the past few years. I think it also depends on what time you come in as they can get a bit busy. There was a time when they took orders so slow because they were training someone new, and the line ended up being outside the door. I came in last week with no one in line. Place is a bit dirty despite it being almost empty. Drink: Chocolate milk topped with cream | A+++ My favorite! My recent visit, they put coconut cream on the receipt and label, so I freaked out a bit because I didn't order coconut cream but the regular cream. I ordered the mango pineapple tea with basil seeds just to see how good it is. It was pretty good. I also ordered the pork ramen and that was pretty salty. I asked the guy for a cup of hot water and he gave me one. I poured half a cup of hot water in and it was better.
