Pro: Very cute place on the inside. Nicely decorated and the bar looked fun. We have been living in the area for about 3 years now and this is probably top 3 for the most authentic tasting Mexican food around (most other places cater to the yt demographic and don't use a lot of seasonings / spices) Con: Be cautious going here if you are a queer / masc presenting person. One of the younger waitresses literally refused to bring our table anything that we asked her specifically for and made another older waitress bring us everything. She kept giving my wife really dirty looks and it even though it wasn't busy at all, they kept us waiting longer than everyone else for our drinks and our food. I've been a server before, so I know the vibes of when someone straight up just does NOT want to help a specific table (pretty sure they are either super religious or a tRump supporting business, one or the other). Don't worry, Ta'Con Todo, we'll Doordash next time so we don't have to be gawked at and treated differently than any other paying customer ;) And if you have specific employees that have a problem with serving LGBTQ+ people, then they probably should be stocking in the back and not serving at all. read more

Super happy this place opened up. My boys and I have been here a few times and honestly, if I would think to order ahead, we would do take out more. We haven't been able to find a place we like since Anita's closed. We all had our favorite dishes there and haven't really found a replacement with food we all can agree upon until now. As a vegetarian, also gluten and dairy free - this place is a gem! They have vegan tacos that are AMAAAAAZING! If I were to nit pick, I'd go for a bit more spice on them, but their salsa has just enough zing to it that if you add it to any item, it will liven it up. Definitely the best vegan option I've found in the area with an option for cauliflower rice. As I don't do soy either, it's a MUCH better option than Chipolte (which this place is FAR better on so many fronts, cleanliness and food quality at the top of the list) - It's VERY clean - We were welcomed and all questions answered with a smile - and I have lots of them with all my "special needs" LOL - Great outdoor area - Interior tables are spaced out and all wiped clean - Food is overall very good - we've had shrimp tacos, vegan tacos, cheese and chicken enchiladas, pintos, black beans, refried beans, several of the lemonade drinks, chips and salsa - Service is pretty fast, though our food has yet to all come out at the same time, they always make sure we get everything and if an issue, check back with us to make things right. Let me just say that we were a bit hesitant about trying this place due to some mixed reviews and the fact that it was quite empty but we decided to give it a shot! We ended up ordering quesabirria, steak fries, coke, and horchata. Let me tell you, the quesabirrias were absolutely delicious - great flavor and a nice crunch on the tortilla, and the consomé was packed with flavor. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of the steak fries. I relied on Yelp pictures to make my decision, but unfortunately, I left half of them on the plate because they were too soggy. They really needed to be crispier. The fries were soft, and it didn't help that there was a layer of beans underneath them, topped with guacamole and sour cream. It all turned into mush in my mouth. Maybe they could make the fries crispier or skip the beans at the bottom. Also, I asked for a sample of the horchata first, and the server was so polite and let me try it before ordering. It was AMAZING! Not overly sweet and had the perfect consistency. The only downside is that if you dine in, they only have one size. The service was excellent - greeted with a smile, promptly attended to, and they kept checking if everything was alright. My mom ordered the tacos. She likes our local tacos here in Oakland better because there is "more flavor". I ate one of her fish tacos. The fish was fried really well, not greasy. AY AY AY the tacos here are UN POCO LOCO!!! No joking, this place has become my #1 favorite taco spot in all of California. It is seriously hard to beat how good they make them here. Every bite is a FIESTA in my mouth!! The tortillas are made fresh in-house and you can absolutely taste the difference. And I don't mean that they're just a teeny weeny bit better than pre-made tortillas - it is mind blowing how ginormous the difference is!! The fresh corn flour adds a lot more texture and the tortillas are just so much more fragrant and flavorful. Just like abuelita used to make.. INCREÍBLE!!!!!! On to the meats we tried: Carne asada (4.69/5): It's hard to find a place that actually does their asada well, and they actually do it pretty well here, although, to be honest, their other meats are so good that in the future I'd probably pass on the asada and just get something else instead. But they finely slice their asada here and it's very tender and flavorful. Perhaps a taaad on the overcooked / dry side, but I'm just nitpicking there. Chorizo (5/5): Great texture and fantastic tangy flavor. If you're a chorizo lover then this is a must try!! Al pastor (6/5): Wow this was so delicious. I absolutely love it when places serve pineapple with their al pastor, it really takes it to the next level!! This was so flavorful, tender, and juicy. It was my girlfriend's personal favorite here! Chicharron in green sauce (69/5): ORGÁSMICO!!!!!!! Every bite had me moaning siiii PAPI!!!!! This was hands down my personal favorite here and I'd gladly order 10 of these tacos for myself next time. For that, it gets the honorary 69/5 rating. The flavor.. off the charts!! So juicy, so tender, so succulent. The juices were dripping all over my face and down my arm but I loved it. Why doesn't every taco place offer chicharron?? Lengua (5/5): I'm a big time lengua lover and this gets another two thumbs up from me! Seasoned well and had the perfect texture.. soft and tender. I especially loved how they cut their lengua into fat slices instead of chopping it up into bits like how most other places do. Quesabirria (5/5): The quesabirrias here did not disappoint, but the price was definitely eye opening lol. $6.50 for one! If you really gotta have it then definitely order the plate of 3, but the price for a single is super expensive. Nonetheless these were cooked perfectly and so damn good. The horchata was good but not the best I've ever had - tasted a bit thin / diluted, but still it was refreshing. I love the sides that they include with the tacos - the mini onions are a game changer!! I only wish that they had radish and also doubled-up on the tortillas. I'm so stoked to have discovered this place and have a new heavy hitter on my list of taco joints. I'm not a local, but I would definitely be willing to drive the 1.5 hours for this place. Finally was able to try this place. Wish I could give 2.5 stars. I'm giving it a three because it doesn't deserve a 2. I'm always down to try a new taco spot so I came for lunch on a Tuesday. They were running a "taco Tuesday" special with $3 tacos. I was hesitant to come at first because without the special tacos are $4 a piece (pretty steep for a street taco). The tacos are a little bigger than the average street taco which is a plus! The corn tortillas seem to be made in house and were nice, fluffy with a warmth to them like they were just taken off the griddle. The chicken tacos were pretty bland. Not very much flavor to them at all. Luckily the salsa that comes with it has a nice flavor and a slight heat that pairs very well. The carne asada wasn't much different. It was good but nothing special (again, thank goodness for that salsa). Horchata was pretty good not overly cinnamon and just right. The inside seems new and was very clean. Overall, there are much better tacos you can get for cheaper here in livermore. read more

I ordered 2 grilled chicken tacos and watched as they cut and cooked the tortillas right there - fresh! They piled on the grilled chicken and I requested just the onions, cilantro, and salsa. I went with the spicier salsa and it was def spicy! For a girl who can handle the kick, this was a good burn. The chicken was super flavorful too. My fiancé ordered a grilled chicken burrito bowl and man do they PILE the toppings on. From that burrito bowl alone he probably could've made 2 burritos tbh. Or at least 1.5. They're generous! Since it was a nice night, we decided to eat on their outdoor patio. I love the decorations and lights. There's also a lot of seating outside and inside. They have a lot of options here on their menu for food, drinks, and desserts. They even have burgers, breakfast, and vegan options. Easy parking, the restaurant is clean and new. The service good the workers are very friendly although they seemed to be overwhelmed. We ordered food to go. I ordered 3 Tacos the tortilla is made fresh and good. Tacos were topped with onions and cilantro. I asked for cheese they charged me for it but they did not put cheese on my tacos. 1) Birria taco- 4/5 the meat was tender but thought it was bland and lack seasoning and flavor. 2) Chicharon en verde taco 5/5 - the pork was tender not I was expecting a crispy chicharron but it was cooked like pork stew with green sauce However, I think this was really good and a lot of flavor. 3) carnitas tacos- 4/5 the pork was tender and the seasoning was fine. We also ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and Carnitas Burrito 4/5- with everything on it. i asked to put the guacamole on the side for the Carne Asada only because of food allergy. They apparently did not add guacamole on both burritos. And, they did not give us the side of guacamole either. Another disappointment was the burritos were not marked. So, we had no idea which one was the Carne Asada or the Carnitas. We had to slice it up at home and give the correct burrito to my sister who asked me to pick up a burrito for her. Overall, the burrito was good a lot of beans, rice, meat, cheese, sour cream, and salsa. No lettuce or veggie in it. Food was ok, but I think they are still trying to figure things out. They forgot a few things on our order which was annoying. Plus, they should mark the burrito order. How will people know which one is which? We will try it again though I think they were just overwhelmed although they were not that busy. Maybe people are new? Not sure. I would still recommend to try it.
