Me and my family went here because it was connected to a hotl that we where staying at. When i got in i felt weird. We where sat diwn in twenty minutes and once we sat dion we where there for thirty minutes and we still didnt even get asked for drinks. My friends and I went for dinner and really liked the classy atmosphere and the food. Our waiter was very patient and thorough in answering our questions about the menu, and when I told him I was vegan, he brought out an entirely different vegan menu out! I ordered the Chana masala ($19) and really enjoyed it. As someone with low spice tolerance, I'm glad I chose mild because it was very flavorful, and any more spice and I would've started sweating. The only vegan bread option is the tandoori roti since all the naan contain milk. Our group also ordered the mango bhel ($12) appetizer which was decent and had a subtle hint of spice. The only downside is the price. One entree (around $20) wasn't filling for me, so I'd recommend adding an appetizer or bread, but adding those would've brought the meal for one person over $30 not including tax and tip. read more

I'd called the day before trying to make a reservation but was told they don't take reservations, it was just seating as you arrive. When I arrived and said the size of my group they immediately asked if I had a reservation....-_- Thankfully once everyone arrived, we were seated quickly and right before a bit of a rush. We were seated at a round table that's set apart from the rest of the restaurant with a curtain, so it was like if you had your own room so that was nice. However I feel like it may have added to the slow service bc maybe they forgot about us. We ordered drinks and didn't receive them for at least half an hour, with my sister having to get up and ask them for her drink because it never came with the rest. Even after waiting a while. We waited for an extremely long time before our food order was taken and then when it started to come out, it was like the last order put in came out first so that was weird. Also, I got a free glass of house wine...don't get it. I couldn't put my finger on what kind of wine it was and it wasn't ever explained to me. My sister would suggest sticking to the Indian food and not ordering any of the Chinese/Thai as she got pad Thai but didn't even touch it just based on how it looked and smelled. Also, pad Thai shouldn't have broccoli...hers did. When she mentioned it to the server, he wasn't willing to even hear her out about it. Apart from that, they mixed up my mild tikka masala with my brother in laws spicy, so that was no fun but once we swapped them, it was alright. Our party was 7 people and I didn't appreciate that they didn't ask if we wanted to split the bill, or how we wanted it split. It seemed to take the server a while to figure it out though in the end it seemed like a very simple transaction. Also, I had a coupon that I'd received at the Yelp disco event that I gave to them but it wasn't applied so that sucked a lot. This review is just for the dine in experience. I have been to Tabla Winter Park numerous times in the past and have had good experiences every time. We wanted to try this location since it was close to the shopping area we were in so we stopped in for lunch time. The restaurant is not a stand alone instead it's connected to a hotel that is close to the universal area. The restaurant itself is a bit small. When we walked in, the male server seated us and gave us menus. We had our daughter with us and we're in need of a high chair. We had to ask for a high chair from the man who was filling up the waters. He didn't speak much English but understood what we needed. We ordered the gobi manchurian, paneer tikka masala, garlic naan, and the lamb kebabs. The gobi Manchurian came out fast and was delicious. The entrees we ordered were unfortunately a miss. My husband's lamb Kebobs were salty and burnt. He also felt the vegetables tasted like smoke and were under cooked. The paneer tikka masala I ordered was just okay. I specified it for medium spicy but it was quite bland. The garlic naan was good though. Throughout the meal, our waiter checked up on us 1 time despite it not being too busy. When we were finished with our meals, we were planning to order dessert but before we could, he came out with the check. We decided it's not worth it and signed the electronic receipt. He did not give us a copy so we had to flag him down for that. (Throughout the whole meal, I felt we got better service from the guy who fills up water than the actual waiter.) Overall, the service and food was lacking. I would not come to this location as it is in touristy area and the quality of food just isn't the same standard as the winter park location. Lunch here today was a little odd for a couple of reasons. The restaurant is attached to a motel so you would never guess that restaurant would be so pretty. Also it was fairly pricey so you would expect good service but service was spotty at best. We ordered the Chaat platter as an appetizer and a couple of soft drinks. No drinks arrived until after the appetizer and the Chaat platter was served on a tray covered in aluminum foil. I found that a little odd, like did they run out of serving platters and just wrapped something in foil to serve the platter? Appetizer was tasty though so I guess that makes up for the presentation. We ordered the chicken Madras, chicken vindaloo and garlic naan. Another long wait for the appetizer to be cleared and we were told to get our utensils off the appetizer plate and keep them for the entrees. In the meantime we heard a different server ask some other patrons if they wanted the lunch special. What lunch special? No one told us there was a lunch special. Oh well, our food came out and it was good, and the server stopped by 3 times while we were eating to ask if everything was ok. Considering she basically disappeared up until this point it was funny that she was checking on us every 5 minutes LOL. When the server came to clear our plates we asked for a dessert menu. Eventually put in our dessert order and also asked for the check because who knew when we would see the server again. Teetering between a 3-star and a 4-star review. I recommend eating here for the Indian food only. Non-Indian food items were not as good. The best part of the meal was dessert--gulab jamun. Only two pieces are served so I was bummed and wanted more. I ordered to-go on the phone and when I tried spelling my name, the employee seemed rushed. I walked into the restaurant to pick up my order and was not greeted. Other customers were arriving behind me (Uber eats and regular dine-in customers) also unsure of where to stand and who they could speak to. 3 employees tried assisting me with my food order but because my name was botched, they couldn't find my order--even though it was ready. When I finally got my food after the name confusion, some of my food items were cold. As a vegan, I ordered the Gobi Manchurian and was completely unsure of what to expect. Blew me out of the water! My son who hates cauliflower ate it like it was the best thing he's ever had. He ordered the chicken fried rice and because the portions are family sized, we had enough for lunch the following day. Stopped in with my mom for dinner. We had the fortune of getting Jetto as our server. Some people may have had reservations finding out that it was Jetto's first day, but we would have never known for as knowledgeable he was. We started with the Aloo Tikki Chat - potato patties flavored with Indian spices, served with yogurt and chick peas. I apologize that we were hungry and polished it off quickly so you only get to see what was left on the plate. For my entrée, I ordered the butter chicken. It came out perfect and full of flavor without being spicy at all. There was a good size portion for me to have a good amount as well as some left overs for the next day. I also complimented the chicken with the garlic naan bread. The bread was hot when it came out and it was very tasty! We also ordered the sticky toffee cake for dessert. It was amazing. I have been to Tabla many times. Finally getting around to write a review. Tabla's both locations are great. The ambience is chic. It gives a cozy feeling. Went to the Universal location on Friday evening. We reached there at 7pm and there was barely anyone. But as the time went by the restaurant was full. Glad we reached early and got the big round corner table that seats 7 people. The food was great as always. It was a little delayed and the servers were not coming to the table much...but it was understandable as the restaurant was pretty busy. Everyone including the staff wore masks. They had hands-free sanitizer station near both the entrance doors. We ordered bunch of our regular appetizers...samosa, gobi manchurian and chili paneer. Main course we shared chole, chili garlic naan and Thai red curry. My niece and my father who are the only ones who eat chicken in our family...ordered chili chicken and chicken fingers. Everyone loved the food. Next time you are there definitely try Chocolate Samosa & Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert. read more

The appetizer was big and it was a meal by itself, the bread was stuffed with veggies and tutti frutti with a flavor that i can't even explain how good it was. The first time we ordered here, we got uber eats. They didn't allow us to buy mango lassi so this time we ended up driving over to order ourselves (they were closed for dine in after 2200 but they were taking orders for take out). The first time, we ordered BUTTER CHICKEN and it was delicious, especially paired with GARLIC NAAN. They gave us a MIXED PAKORA for free, which was a nice gesture, and it was tasty but we were too full to enjoy them. This time, we tried the THAI GREEN CURRY, mild with chicken. It had lots of soup but barely any chicken. Mild for them is medium for me and my husband. We also tried the MANGO LASSI, and it was the thickest mango lassi we had ever had. Usually it's more like a thick milkshake consistency but theirs was literally like trying to drink yogurt. We barely drank ours. Still, we wanted to try the salted version but it wasn't available. I had the most delightful meal today @tablawinterpark ! The location @shopsonpark is such a gem. Just pass the koi fish and look for the tree! The restaurant has a great date night vibe and I'm glad I brought my hubby. I stared out with the Taj beer to keep the Indian theme but I didn't realize how big it would be. 20 oz! ( I finished it like a champ though) We then got the Gobi Manchurian. If you've never had this, it's a perfect Indio-Chinese dish. Savory Manchurian sauce coats crunchy and tender califlower for perfect texture and taste combo. This is one of my fave dishes and perfect for vegetarian. We then got the most tender lamb chops I have ever eaten. I had to ask how they got them so tender. They marinate them in spices and yogurt! The sizzling plate presentation was really a wow! The fresh garlic naan was a perfect accompaniment to the meat. As if that wasn't enough, we got some Chicken Tikka Masala and some Dal Bukhara. The Chicken was so tender and the sauce was so rich and drinkable. I have had my share of dal before, but never black dal. The black lentils blended with the tomatoes and cream was perfection. We ended the meal with a chocolate samosa. Crispy phylo dough filled with chocolate and coconut was a perfect ending to the meal. Everything I ate was amazing. There is a reason they have such fantastic reviews. Also, the service was so great. The manager Vivek came out to make sure our experience was top notch and if you are lucky, your server will be Rumualdo. What a fantastic guy! So knowledgeable and friendly! Like some of the recent 1 star reviews, this review dropped significantly because of a waitress Manali and the very unprofessional wait staff. The food is actually good, but please do yourself a favor & call ahead & order to go. It makes me sad to leave a low rating since I'm sure the chefs are doing their best. Hopefully the chefs can find better waiters and waitresses to reflect their good food. First of all, the entire front of house waiters and waitresses ignored me and my significant other for 30 minutes before taking our order. The busboys/servers bringing plates, utensils, water, etc were oddly very disgruntled, silent, never said a word, never looked up, and never smiled. It was a very odd and uncomfortable ambiance (especially since the entire restaurant is very starkly white & brightly lit, not crowded so you can see everyone) After finally flagging the main host guy down to order, we waited another 45 minutes for food to finally arrive. I understand there were two other large tables in front of us, but not a single person came to check in on us or apologize for the entire wait. Manali and the other main host avoided our area, did not even make eye contact or glance our direction. Was it because we were the only non-Indian table in the restaurant? When ordering (after 30 minutes of sitting down with no interaction or acknowledgement) I had checked in for the yelp wine offer, but was immediately pressured by Manali to write a yelp review for the yelp offer (which does not explicitly even state write a review to redeem). I told her I can not write a review when we literally just ordered and the food is not here. She said okay please remember to write a review when the food comes and walked away. Then came 45 minutes of silence. No wine. No one looked or walked in our direction until the food came. It seemed to be a chef or someone from the kitchen who delivered our food. He did apologize for the wait. I told him my wine never came & he went to tell Manali. She immediately came to the table with a glass of red wine (Franzia quality) saying the bar was backed up & I went to personally get the wine after chef said you didn't get it yet. No apologies, just a sort of odd self brag that she came as fast as she could with it (after 45 minutes of avoiding our table). She again brought up the yelp review and tried to pressure me to write one. I didn't even try the food yet I told her. I would have left a 1 star review for the lack of service & weird pressuring to write a yelp review but the food was actually good. We got Tabla chicken curry & the lamb curry with spinach. Both had depth of flavor and very tender chunks of meat (especially the lamb). The garlic naan could have used some more garlic but still was cooked perfectly.
