I love Table 9 and me and my family have been going there for years. My go to favorites there are the Parmesan crusted chicken over angel hair pasta (Yum), the fish and chips, and the delicious the ahi tuna. The calamari appetizer is amazing as well. My wife loves the shrimp scampi, and the panko crab cakes (but last time we went they shortened the menu and omitted the crab cakes ). Their draft beer is nice and cold and their service is friendly and attentive (unless they are packed of course, but that happens with any crowded restaurant). Table 9 did a great job for us arranging a post-funeral luncheon. They were collaborative and accessible whenever we had questions, and made sure that we were well taken care of. What happened to this place??? I'm going to make a long story short. Apparently no one knows who runs this restaurant. There is apparently no owner to speak with nor is there a General Manager. There is also no email address in the contacts page on their website anywhere to be found, which is why I have to go to yelp. I visited there with my family 10/10/21 and Mark our Server was on point. However he made one mistake...he spilt hot boiling water (for tea) in my mothers lap! Things happen. I understand it was a mistake, however the manner in which it was handled was why I am giving my 1 star rating! The little boy of a manager, Van, couldn't have cared less about what happened and the pain, embarrassment & the humiliation my mother just endured! No visit from the manager, no apology...NOTHING! I had to speak with Mark, our server about the situation and demand to see this "manager" who was hiding at the host desk at the end of the evening. The manager was only willing to comp one meal but still, not even a "so sorry about this incident" Mark, our server, is obviously a seasoned veteran and master of his craft and was caught in the middle of an accident and a worthless no good excuse for a manger who obviously has no business being in his position within the food service industry. Perhaps he can work a retail stock room where he doesn't need to interact with anyone. The manager, VAN, obviously has ZERO leadership qualities. Why am I being so hard on him, you ask? I've been in the restaurant business for 30 years and I know exactly what should have happened in this type of situation and it did not happen! Most recently, we just had a death in the family and while deciding where to go to for the celebration of life, Table 9 was immediately ruled out because of the manner in which this situation was handled or lack there of. My parents have lived in Garrison for the better part of the last four decades. This place used to be a restaurant that was anachronistically (not to mention unironically) named "Reef & Beef" (someone's brilliant branding rhyme, very descriptive, no?), then someone realised how cheesy that name was and renamed it "At the Reef," which, while better than the previous name, begs the question of where the reef they're claiming to be "at" is in the middle of the Hudson (but, I digress). Not sure how long it's been called Table 9 but it's been awhile and my family has been meaning to try it but never did. Went there for my birthday this past June. On the positive side, the food isn't bad if unremarkable, and the portions are huge, if that is a criterion for what makes a good restaurant. I'd rather have smaller portions and more interesting food, but that's just me. Ambience was a bit dark and dreary. No compelling reason to go back for me. read more

Was absolutely looking forward to an evening out Table 9. A bit disappointing all around. Food reviews from our party of four was split. Two thought the food was good, but nothing to write home about. The other two said nothing, indicating a lackluster presentation. Additionally, everything came out all at once. Soup ordered as an appetizer came with the entre. We had to ask for bread which was never replenished. Drink order was mixed up not what was ordered. Our server was a pleasant enough young woman who seemed to be somewhat inexperienced and had to get answers to our questions from others on staff. Not to prolong this, but when the bill arrived we requested that it simply be split in half on two credit cards. Server returned to us explaining that was impossible due to a combination of policy and the inability of the computer system to process the request. When the manager was questioned regarding this the explanation was not very believable nor satisfactory. Nothing was right nor was it completely unacceptable. I stopped be Table 9 after hiking through Bear Mountain today. The server was excellent, she was capable and friendly. She went out of her way to please and even had to make us our drinks since the bar was moving slow. The food however, was blah. While everything was fresh, it lacked seasoning. We started with some New England clam chowder and we all thought it didn't have enough seasoning and wasn't worth the calories so we didn't finish it. Then we waited more then 30 minutes more for our dishes and we all had salads. I had the ahi tuna, my partner had salmon salad, my wife and her sister had a grilled chicken salad. I went to table 9 for a after wedding rehearsal dinner. The ambiance is beautiful and the staff was helpful enough. However, the food was lacking some major flavor and salt. It wasn't balanced at all, the calamari needed some seasoning and salt. The coconut shrimp weren't salted at all and the only saving grace were the dipping sauces. The chicken wings were dry and not really appetizing. Their portions were huge which was great if the food was also good. The chicken salad was bland, they could have candied the walnuts and or added more cheese. The chicken itself was also dry and cold. Me-New to Peekskill. Tried Table 9, which is on the other side of the creek in Cortland Manor, for lunch. The waiter was friendly and helpful, and after inquiring about their signature dishes, my friend and I both ordered the meatloaf, which was ample enough for us both to take the leftovers home for dinner. I also took home the Sante Fe Egg Rolls, which were very good. The food is good, the service is good, and I am looking forward to returning to try other items on the menu. read more

I've been going there for years and what I have noticed is that the restaurant is kept at a very uncomfortable temperature. I asked the server if he could raise the temp and he said he would speak with the manager. I had on a blouse, a sweater and a leather jacket and I was freezing. My friend had on a shirt and a jacket and was also freezing. We moved from a table to a booth in hopes it would help. It didn't. We told the server we were leaving and we left. The worst part is that the manager was standing in the server station at the entrance to the kitchen eating something and didn't say a word or offer any explanation or apology. I've worked in several large chain restaurants and if a manager treated a guest in that manner they would be held accountable for their lack of customer service. I know he knew because the server walked right up to him and told him while we were still within his view. I've given Table 9, 5 stars in the past but this was a terrible experience. This place reminds me of the early 2000's when food portions were large and here you will get large portions. The fish tacos were absolutely delicious snd the fish and chips were fried to perfection. The avocado ranch sauce was a very nice unexpected touch. Will come here again soon... read more

We came here for a spur of the moment dinner. Our name was taken and we were given a buzzer and guidance to the bar to wait. The place seemed pretty busy. After a good 25 minutes wait, which was 10 minutes above the estimate when we walked in, we were seated. Slow service, good food. I had the turkey burger, Nice decor - like a step down from a Chart House, without the view. It would have been a four star for what it is, but the service is consistently slow. Finally he came and took our order and didn't ask what we wanted to drink. Our appetizer came out and the server was still nowhere to be found. No water, no drinks. Our entrees come out and our empty dish stayed on the table with still no server to be found. Finally towards the end of the meal our server comes around and just drops the check and says nothing. Everytime I come to table 9 I leave impressed. This is my second time coming in this year. My first visit was to the bar and last night we sat at a table. Both times were enjoyable, their food was amazing. Last night I ordered a crab cake hoagie that was out of this world good. I have to say that when I've passed by this place literally a thousand times I thought it was some typical lame diner off a busy roadway. Boy was I wrong! This place is cozy, cute and the decor makes it feel really nice not cheesy or broken down. Food was above average and pricing was fairly decent but I will admit when I saw Mac & Cheese on the menu for a whopping $15 I thought, "How can you elevate Mac & Cheese to a $15 dish?" since it came with no seafood mixed into it. Other than the insane price for the Mac & Cheese I thought menu pricing wasn't terrible. My date ordered a salad and while it was lacking cheese & beans that it came with, our waitress was able to secure us some more of those ingredients from the kitchen. I opted for my typical burger and it wasn't bad but certainly not the best I've ever had. Overall, I really liked this place and would certainly return in the near future. It's not upscale dining but for what it is, it was a great experience. Entering the restaurant can be confusing since you can enter from the rear after you park but then you have to walk to the front to see the seating host while passing by other patrons who are eating. I started off with the Purple Rain...5 types of alcohol...not listed on the menu. I was hammered in about 3 sips. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a quick buzz. The ahi appetiser was amazing. Very tasty and great presentation. The mozzarella wedges were greasy and bland. The simple salmon was very good but lacked some flavor. The parmigiana crusted chicken was a bust. Not tasty and the sauce reminded me of a creamy tomato soup. I really wanted the prime rib which isn't served on Sundays although the menu says it is. I recommend they add some dill cream sauce to the salmon or some sort of teriyaki or soy dipping sauce. The chicken can be fixed with less sauce and a better presentation. It was good, but it could have been great. My sister in law ordered lentil soup and a potato ( the potato wasn't cooked enough, it was hard).
