Table 9 is claimed to be a Family-friendly American dining restaurant & a happy-hour scene in a modern space with an art deco look. The restaurant really does have a beautiful modern interior design. However, don't expect to come here in too casual of clothing. On the door, it says men are not allowed to come in with a tank top. The vibe is more of a dressy casual dining experience. I'm not sure if it really was family-friendly. The waitress we had, Christina, was extremely nice. She was always so polite when taking our order and asking for refills on our drinks. The food seemed very similar to what you would consider a Family-friendly restaurant to have, although the atmosphere of the restaurant doesn't match with it. The prices for entrees ranged from $10-$25. I ordered the Penne Ala Vodka which was $15. It honestly wasn't anything special. I'm not sure what kind of cheese was on it, but it didn't seem to match with the taste of the pasta. There was also only a little bit of cheese on top, which I had to ask for some more Parmesan because I like my pasta with it. My cousin has selected Table 9 for lunch after her Acceptance day initiation into West Point. Although she was happy that she was finally eating something other than MREs, I do wish that she would have chosen a restaurant that served better food. Table 9 is inconveniently located right on a roundabout possibly making it a harrowing journey to arrive and depart their parking lot. Although Table 9's interior decor is done beautifully, their air conditioning unit is seriously lacking. Modern interior and broken AC don't mix very well. It had reached a point where our entire party was sweating while we were eating. We ordered two appetizers to start; Calamari and Nachos. Neither of these were particularly spectacular, typical bar foods. After reading a few reviews mentioning their buffalo sauce, I decided to order the Buffalo Burger. When my burger came out, I instantly felt a pang of regret. They had dressed the burger with standing onion rings and two toothpicks to hold it all together (see my picture). In my experience, a fancily decorated burger usually resulted in a poor tasting burger. Unfortunately I was right. The burger was served on an untoasted brioche bun with kale and tomatoes. The kale was still wet from the washing and made the bottom bun soggy. The burger meat itself was drizzled in their house hot sauce but still failed to taste like anything. If they had worked so hard to dress the burger they could have seasoned it too. Table 9's one saving grace is the service that we were given. Not sure what the waiter's name was, but he had an awesome handlebar mustache (it was drooping a bit from the heat). I doubt I would come to the area again anytime soon, but if I do, I'll make an effort to stay away from this place. read more

We went there for the first time for a party of 11 and the food was excellent and the service couldn't be better. Well worth the money. Huge portions. On July 3rd we had a 30 people wedding party dinner and with disappoint , the service was lousy and the worst part being my daughters leftover wedding cake being trashed. You may have driving past Table 9 many times or seen it from a distance. It sits and the foot of bear mountain and is wonderful. You may have thought it was a Diner ( as I did) its actually a beautiful up scale ( not fancy) restaurant with an extensive lovely menu and a gorgeous fill bar. We ordered the appetizer sampler, for which they didn't bring the wings that were supposed to come with it. Table 9 is one of those places you pass all the time and say to yourself, "I should try that place someday", and then when you do try it you wonder why you waited so long. The menu offers a lot of different options- from burgers to pasta and fish- and always leaves me indecisive. There are many dishes I want to try! The Roasted Beets salad is my must-have- it's delicious! Mixed greens with diced beets, crumbled goat cheese and a white balsamic dressing...yum! My boyfriend swears by the Santa Fe egg rolls. The fish tacos are outstanding- not greasy and the fish was absolutely delicious. The parmesan crusted chicken and Buffalo Chicken sandwich are also really good. The restaurant is a large space separated into small areas, which gives it a more intimate feel. I love the decor- earth tones with a slightly trendy feel. Both times we've been there we were seated quickly, prices are reasonable and the food is really good. This is my third time trying Table 9 and I must say them have definitely been redeeming themselves from the lackluster first visit. Each time I've been I ordered something different and each new thing has tasted better and better. Each time I go they have a special discounted appetizer, the first time was $5 calamari and the second time was $5 shrimp cocktail which is a nice incentive to get an app. I've tried the authentic Cobb salad with avocado ranch dressing which was delicious and very filling. I've also felt adventurous and tried the steak & lobster (which I usually avoid if it's not a steakhouse) and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. The caramel macchiato is excellent as well. Overall I think Table 9 has a lot of menu options and would recommend definitely giving this place a try a couple times before making any conclusions. My only gripe is this place always has a strange smell every time I've gone that reminds me of a nursing home. If you can get past that, then you're good to go! read more

I really wanted to like Table 9 more than I did. I wish we could give half-stars as I would bump it up a half. Hubby and I went tonight to check it out. We sat in the bar area, music was a bit loud but expected as it was the bar area. The restaurant was pretty busy for a tuesday night. Thank goodness I asked what pieces were served, expecting drumstick, thigh, etc. well, turns out it is basically chicken strips!! Really??? Chicken strips??? A bit of a cop out. The chicken menu in general seems to be the variation on the chicken strip and how many ways one can serve it. Hubby ended up having the grande burrito which was pretty good. I had the wings which were okay. They were breaded and had some hot sauce. Could have been hotter (read: spicier) but just ask for it. Our waiter was great, attentive and courteous. It wasn't his fault that it took the bartender 10 minutes to draw my beer. In a bar that wasn't overly crowded. We got the fudge cake to go as we were both too full. It looks delicious!! Table 9 is no more than an well-dressed diner. For those familiar with Westchester, City Limits comes to mind. We were greeted and seated immediately and our hostess was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. We'd asked for a few modifications to our meals, I wanted my salmon blackened. Calamari was good...I eat it without the marinara sauce so it's flavor isn't hidden. The salmon wasn't as flavorful as I wished which is why I ordered it blackened. Nice size portions. The host doesn't pause or skip a beat and instantly lies to my face. He says "we do not have any tables that can accommodate a high chair." The bold face of the lie took me aback. I had no response. I finally explored this place on a late Wednesday afternoon. Nicely located on your way to or from Bear Mountain. I was able to take advantage of the early dinner special. I admit i was a bit skeptical given the extensive menu...variety is good, but quality is what makes the lasting impression. With a party of 6, however, everybody was quite pleased. As you walk in there is quite a nice sized bar and fully stocked. The dining area is a mixture of tables and booths. Some booths are half circles allowing for I suppose more cozy dining with your party if you prefer. Beer selection is decent with both draft and bottle. I had a Dogfish IPA, so at least some good taste with whoever takes beer selection...happy hour specials unfortunately only at the bar (not so good). If you are ordering food, give the customer a break! Meal selection from the party included burger, nachos, ribs, pasta and even a turkey club. Serving size was decent. Early dinner special was well worth it. My son's burger, (BBQ bacon burger) was stacked and cooked to his liking (nothing was left on his plate...always a good sign)...i had the ribs, satisfying and quite tasty...but I know if I really want BBQ, there are other options in the area. My wife had the pasta (penne vodka)...nicely done with good chunks of grilled chicken. My youngest order off the app menu and got the chili nachos...boy enough for our whole table to share if we want an app! Quite stacked, chili on top was fair; pico de gallo was fresh. I was impressed he ate half of it and the jalapenos! Service was excellent and waitress quite attentive (but it was only 4:30 pm and not many patrons). Overall, I would definitely come back if not dinner to check out some other things on the menu, definitely for the happy hour (and check out the nite scene). We hosted a party for our son in their private room. The food was amazing and Sean and Colby were great! They worked with us and accommodated dairy free, many allergies, and vegan guest. The party was success without any work from us. They provided the cake and dessert, which was so tasty and not overly sweet. I came here with a large party for dinner. I feel bad giving three stars because I know large parties can be difficult. The service was good but the food itself left a lot to be desired. I got the pomegranate martini which was well made and very strong. My friend got the shrimp scampi which was ok but the pasta was undercooked. Other friends ordered the steak which didn't quite get cooked as they ordered (rare was delivered medium etc.). Two of us in our party were vegetarians and the waitress/kitchen were very sweet about getting us a vegetarian dish. Unfortunately, the pasta was drowned in butter sauce and neither of us were able to eat very much of our meals. I think this place might have better results for a smaller number of guests. read more
