Phenomenal place to eat in the Poipu area! The food was very delicious, I had the Nut Encrusted baked fish and my wife had the Rib Eye. Both were prepared very well and the sides were very tasty. The lilikoi crème brûlée was delicious, one of the best we have had. Jenny, our waitress, was outstanding and everyone at the restaurant was great to interact. Lovely food overall, but Paella needs work... All of the small bites we tried were excellent with very good flavor- had the saffron risotto shrimp, the mushroom croquette, bacon wrapped scallops and artichoke. All of these were delicious. We did also order the seafood paella. Unfortunately, I am a paella purist, and my paella standard is high. Theirs definitely was not that great. Barely any saffron, way too soupy in texture. Fish was good but scant in the dish. Overall, other than a hard pass on the paella, I would definitely come back here. I really appreciated the originality of the menu. read more

We popped in here spontaneously during happy hour and were pleasantly surprised. Their beer on draft and wines by the glass are half price. Interestingly they only have one draft beer but today it was Maui Brewing's Coconut Porter. Having a craft beer for half price was pretty special considering that the final cost was only $3 per beer! Insane, especially on Kauai at Poipu. We were just looking for a snack so ordered some french fries which were only $4! Two beers and a generous order of fries set us back $10. We couldn't believe it when we saw the bill. Not only that but the bartender/server was so friendly and welcoming. We plan to go back and try the dinner menu next time. I cannot imagine why this place has closed. We were there a year ago and the food and service were fantastic. At that time, liquor license had not come through so we were able to bring our own with no corkage fee. The ribs taste amazing! My 2 year old son has 4 pieces all by himself. It's sweet and sour sauce was a perfect balance but be aware it's a little heavy tasting side. Ribs taste 5 stars. Other food items are good. Service from our waitress was mediocre throughout the meal. We understand this place doesn't have liquor license from yelp reviews, we weren't offered any drinks options so we are not sure if they actually offer any sodas? Also the waitress actually sprayed ice water all over my wife's arm while she was pouring water at one point as she was distracted. We didn't make a big deal of it and she walked away without noticing it. The service received only one star because of how accusational this waitress was. She SHOULD NOT be in the service industry. We put in Amex card and the waitress came over after taking the folder and pointed at it and said "you did not put any card in there". We immediately asked her to check for it and my wife also searched the restaurant. She glanced over and told the front that she's looking for a card. My wife crouched down and looked under the tables around and found the card nested under a table far from us. By then, the waitress simply told us "no Amex" and then said "if you did not stick it in the plastic snug, it will fall out". Zero effort and apologies for LOSING our credit card. Accused us and yes we left with zero tips. My wife was pissed and we needed to go back to our resort for our son's bedtime so we left without making a fuss at the restaurant. But be aware if you don't super glue your credit card to the folder they might just accidentally lose it and blame you for attempting to not pay with side eyes. Usually simple things like this will be waiter or waitress will smile and say let me check and everyone laugh about it. Not to be met with this kind of rudeness. Never ever have we ever been treated like this anywhere. The hostess who welcomed us was lovely so this is just for the middle aged lady waitress I think was called Erin? Or something that starts with E. Please change profession and stop spreading your cynicism of food theft. Do review your restaurant's video recordings, see how you flung my credit card out. read more

Great meal with flawless service. Food was outstanding. We ordered the French Onion Soup and Artichoke as starters and both dishes exceeded expectations. Ribeye and Shrimp pasta for entrees. The Ribeye was a thin 12 oz cut that was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were also nicely prepared, but I would have preferred a baked potato option or something more unique than mashed potatoes (all the restaurants we found on Kauai that serve steak like to accompany the dish with mashed potatoes?) Pasta was also amazing, with a very large portion, so we enjoyed it the next day as well. Service was remarkable. The waitress said it was her third day, but she was clearly very experienced. Atmosphere was elegant and relaxed at the same time, with island views. The location is on the second floor directly across from Merriman's, which is also great, but besides their ocean views, you can have an equally (if not better) dining experience for 30% less $$. 5 stars for food, service and ambiance. read more

This restaurant has very good food. I am visiting my mother who lives here, and she has been here many times. However, on this occasion, she noticed a $5 fee added for using a credit card. No one had noticed this notated on the menu. I only know it's there in minuscule print because of someone else's review. When asked about this charge, the waitress said the owners add it and it has been done from the start. It is not on the website or any other internet sources I could find. The waitress didn't mention the fee when my mother gave her her credit card either. Who carries around hundreds of dollars of cash today? This is not the 80s where people did that. How can one not feel duped and deceived when such a practice is happening. I have eaten all over the world and come from NYC. I have never seen this in a restaurant. It feels slimy and left us with a very bitter taste in our mouths. Also, there is a $5 charge for a bread basket which does not get mentioned. This is not unusual in restaurants here, but between asking for $5 for bread and $5 for credit card purchases, it makes it seem that the owner is getting away with raping customers out of $10. I don't like patronizing places that have deceptive behavior or assume I am fine with being ripped off. read more

Service was a bit slow , ambiance was a little too stuffy for us . Menu was small and lackluster . Food took forever to come out and the portions were small and hardly anything to the plates . For the really high price tag it's not worth the wait and the food was good but not mind blowing . We had the grilled artichoke which was the best dish w the garlicky tangy dipping sauce , a very small Caesar salad that was over dressed and had huge shards of Parmesan cheese and small thin crouton bread slivers , a plain shrimp Alfredo which we asked for no mushrooms and it came with mushrooms , and the seared ahi tuna which came with rice and mushrooms. I asked if I could have vegetables instead of rice and was told no and that she had asked earlier for another table and was told no but that I could get mashed potatoes or rice only . That right there was enough for me to understand there is some big egos in the kitchen that can't be bothered to give paying guests what they want . Loosen up that neckerchief Gordon . We were almost disappointed when we showed up and we were told that the reservation that we thought we had was "not on the books". Instead of being disappointed we were very impressed by Table, from the staff, the service, the food and the ambiance ... it is a gem. Chef JP came out and talked to us while the rest of the staff looked to work us in and get us a table. What a great place. As all restaurants are doing these days, they are dealing with the unique situation of the post pandemic world but unlike some they are rolling with the punches and are doing it well. We had the bacon wrapped scallops and croquettes to start, both were great. For our entrees we had the pork chop (one of the best I've had) and the pesto penne. Oh, and don't forget to stop and get your favorite wine and/or beer to bring with you until they get their license. read more

We had high expectations. Unfortunately the food was so disappointing. The rib eye was mostly gristle and little meat. Should have sent it back! The paella had no taste, the penne pasta with pesto was flavorless and the fish of the night was a blackened Ahi ($42) which I thought would be flavorful.. again very bland and ended up making me sick during the night. Will NOT return. Will be surprised if this place is still there next year. The only good thing was it was a BYOB (for now) and we didn't have to spend additional money on drinks. read more

We knew when we walked in on a busy evening in Poipu and the place was empty that something was amiss. it took a long time to order and we had to ask for water refills as well as the check at the end of the meal. it cost 4.00 for a basket of day- old Costco baguette slices to go with the meal, and my risotto was laden with cheese so that was the only flavor- completely overwhelming the delicate shrimp in the dish. We were visiting the area and decided to give Table a try - their menu looked great. We only got take out, but the staff was incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions during that process. My husband was very pleased with the ribeye that was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. I got the Kaua'i prawns with saffron risotto, which had a great flavor combo with the goat cheese and fried leeks. It was on the 'small plates' menu, but was a generous serving size. The Caesar dressing on the salad we got was amazing. My kids got both keiki menu items and my daughter, being a Mac and cheese connoisseur haha, was also pleased. My family and I have been checking out this establishment for a couple days now while visiting the beautiful island of Kauai. One of my favorite parts of visiting Kauai has been the hospitable service, and warm welcoming. I'm saddened to say that despite a friendly interaction with the hostess, we were treated in an unpleasant manner by the restaurant manager. Admittedly, we weren't dressed to the nines, but we had stopped for a drink at another neighboring establishment who did not have any issues with seating us. We explained we were just looking for some good prawns, and a nice drink to cap off our great day we spent touring the Na Pali coast. As she was showing us to the bar, we were approached by Ursula, the manager of the table, who came across as having a pretentious attitude, and made us feel anything but welcome. The tone of her voice was not welcoming, and slightly condescending. She questioned our intentions of being seated among her other guests who were few and far between. Needless to say, after speaking with her, we decided to take our business elsewhere. read more
