The food is excellent, fresh and tasty too. It takes a bit longer because it is all made to order. They complain a bit much about how expensive everything is and try to gouge you at the tip. It is not a fancy place but is clean and orderly I am definitely going back. read more

Average Mediterranean food - but poor if you compare it to places in Long Beach. Garlic fries are cooked ok but flavoring and seasoning are an afterthought. Spicy garlic potatoes = garlic potatoes + chili flakes as opposed to other restaurants that have a tastier and spicier option. Chicken Shwerma was ok, but the ingredients were pretty lackluster. Essentially you get chicken + garlic sauces + and a lot of pickles??? This is pretty much a chicken burrito. Tabouleh lacked flavoring and was pretty dull. Came to this place. For a quick lunch walked in at 12 noon ordered a beef kabob plate . Now I understand it's lunch time right . But come on I had to wait 45 minutes !!!!! I've been coming here for a few months and the food never disappoints, being Lebanese myself, it's hard to find authentic "home cooking" like my mom used to cook, so it's nice to have a spot like Taboon thats also so close to home. I order the Fatoush salad with grilled chicken, I've also had the chicken wraps and beef kebabs and every time, it hits. The staff is always so kind and accommodating. Linda, who greets you at the cashier is always so sweet, and personable. This place is a neighborhood favorite and I can see why! Just moved from Long Beach, and to be honest? I never found a Mediterranean place I liked since moving from Burbank. But this place hit the spot!!! Finally, stuffed grape leaves with flavor and tang. The beef shawarma were nice and generously sliced and not full of fat. Everything was delicious and it didn't cost a small fortune to feed our family of four. We went to Taboon after reading all the great reviews. We got a chicken kabab plate and a fish (salmon) kabob plate (see photo). Both were DELICIOUS and the portions were generous! Linda provided great service...she helped us decide what to order, brought the food to our table and after seeing we had leftovers, she brought us bags to take our left overs home. We picked up 3 takeout dinners at the 10895 Los Alamitos Blvd location two days ago. It was my first time there. The service was friendly and helpful. We got 3 Taboon Mixed Grill orders. I swapped my kefta kabab for beef, and the other two orders swapped the kefta and chicken for lamb. All the changes involved small charges, but that was OK. All the dinners were delicious and included hummus, Mediterranean salad, rice, and garlic sauce. There was a generous amount of meat; I made 3 satisfying meals out of mine.
