Wow. Wow. Wow! Had a really amazing hummus meal here. Definitely the freshest, chewiest, savoriest meal I've had in recent memory. I beat the lunch rush around 11:30AM to get a lamb and eggplant hummus bowl, a side of sweet potato falafel, and a mint limonada. And what a lunch rush it was starting at 12! Everything hit exactly right and I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. The dining space is nice and functional, expect that the stools are quite heavy and make loud scraping noises anytime you try and move them, which you must to get in and out of the table or make room for other patrons. The food is very good, but it's not a comfortable place to sit and eat. I will explain why. I went there today, and I noticed a man sitting at a table by himself with his head in the food. I thought he was sleeping. I walked over to the counter. I looked over at him again and he got up and started hitting his head with his hand multiple times, making loud sounds... then he walked over to the mirror, still hitting his head and making more loud sounds. Several people moved away from him. I told the lady behind the counter, "I think we might have a problem with this guy." And she told me, " oh no, he's a relative of the owner and he's here all the time. Don't worry, he won't bother you." I had to text my friend not to meet me there because we would not be able to relax and have a comfortable lunch together, unfortunately. I'm sorry if there's a problem with someone in their family, but it's unfair of the owner to subject his customers to this type of behavior in an eating area where customers just want to eat their lunch in peace. Everybody was avoiding him at one side of the room. I told the owner on my way out how I felt and he said, "oh he's here all the time. not to worry." and I just said to him, "Well then I'm not coming back." It's a very small dining area. read more

The menu has some nice options in addition to the hummus bowls for those with bigger and smaller appetites, including salads, pitas and full plates with rice and a protein(s) option. The space is not too big but has enough space so patrons don't feel crowded. There are a few big communal tables along with counter seating. Somehow, they managed to hand me my order literally a minute after I ordered (and it was warm so it hadn't just been sitting around). The staff were also very friendly. Got take out. Delivery was fast. The portion of Braised Lamb Shawarma with quinoa ($17) and the same dish with rice ($16) were huge. However, the biggest component of the container was the cheap carb--quinoa or rice. Very little protein. And the bit that we had was very poor quality--mostly fat and skin. Barely any edible meat. If not for that disappointing mishap, would've loved the dishes. The salad and the dressing and the nuts and the special sauce--all the great, vibrant Mediterranean flavors were there for the making of a rocking meal.
