The restaurant was empty but extremely dirty. Food on the ground garbage cans full and the kiosk screens look like an iPad owned by a 3 year old. I am always very respectful to fast food employees because I know it's a hard job and they don't get a lot of money but when I asked a simple question to an employee, she responded very snarky and rude. I understand people have bad days, but whoever the person was that I was speaking to was extremely rude and indifferent to helping a customer. read more

Best Taco Bell in the area. Line goes by fast and they give you plenty of sauce. The only issue I have is figuring out the exits and entrances of those shopping complex. Food is good. I came here because they brought back nacho fries and I couldn't resist. There's a Taco Bell close to my house but I drive here because of the service and no hassle. I live in turlock so I usually go to the taco bells there or in modesto, but I work here in escalon. Out of all the taco bells, this one here in escalon is the only one I've eaten at that doesn't skimp out on portions, and burritos are properly layered, so are the tacos! I just went through the Taco Bell drive through in Escalon and order hard shell tacos. When I got home there was hardly any meat in the taco and the shell just crumbled into pieces and tasted old. But lately every time we go they find a way to mess up almost every order, sometimes we joke that they must be doing it on purpose because they are so wrong. It's not hard to put no tomato's on tacos and to sub for beans on a taco. My husbands Mexican pizza had no sauce on it last time. Just meat and cheese and the tostados were shattered. THE best Taco Bell I've ever been to...and I've been coming here since they first opened this location about 20 years ago. The staff is ALAWAYS friendly and I've only had one wrong order in all these years. They apologized, corrected the order and gave me a couple free tacos for the inconvenience. My rating of one star is based off my encounter with Eileen at the drive thru. My family visits this establishment on a regular and we have NEVER had the poor customer service that we received on our last visit. Eileen was very impatient and unprofessional. She talked over me multiple times. Kept asking me if I wanted anything else. My entire order never showed on the screen. I replied saying that I didn't see my complete order and she responded with "well if you would give me a second. She even asked me what my problem was. At that point another employee quickly jumped on the microphone and finished my order. I spoke to the manager once I was at the window. He wasn't a bit apologetic and even seemed flippant. I ordered four bean and cheese burritos three no onion. Seems simple enough right? At the window I was handed the order. I checked the bag and right away noticed that it was not my order. So I got the attention of the cashier and handed it back to him. He then proceeded to hand me a different bag and as soon as I checked it I noticed it was not my order because it had items in the bag that I did not order. I then gave the bag back to him along with the receipt and I asked them to please make four bean and cheese burritos and label the three without onions. When I finally got my order 15 minutes later in the drive-through the order was still wrong. They gave me two with onion and two without onion. I think it's really sad and embarrassing that this establishment is not training employees on how to make food correctly. When the Manager finally came to the window he was less than professional in the way that he handled the situation and made me feel like it was my fault that the order could not be carried out correctly. Is it because this is the only Taco Bell in town so people feel like Service doesn't matter because where else are you going to go? Well I can't go to Taco Bell in Escalon anymore. We will eat at Taco Bell when there is nothing else available and we are famished! If you blink your eyes you can miss the town of Escalon, and finding Taco Bell was just pure luck! The experience we had was outstanding! The servers were extremely attentive and cared about their customers. Me and my boyfriend always go to this Taco Bell and we've had problems before but nothing like this. We ordered two Baja blasts at the intercom, and we got to the window, paid, got one Baja blast and got our receipt. We noticed we only paid for one Baja blast so we asked to add on another and we'd pay for it. The girl, Sophia took the card and charged it. Then all she said was "next time order it at the intercom" and rolled her eyes. Obviously we tried to order it at the intercom but she didn't get it the first time. Honestly it's worth the 10-15 minute drive to go to the one in riverbank or Manteca. My order is never correct and I mean EVER! Things just as simple as adding sour cream they never get it right. The boys in the drive through are so polite & incredibly happy considering they sell their dignity for minimum wage!! I've had an occasional drink forgotten but as soon as I say something they always fix it! Aside from thaf, my order is always spot-on. The food is top-knotch & they have some amazingly clean bathrooms!! My favorite taco bell location & it is right down the street from my house. I highly recommend it. :) read more
