I came to this Taco Bueno for the first time today for lunch. This brought me back a little bit because it is one of the old style Bueno locations Reminiscent of the days when they were made of Adobe and had a fireplace is inside. Don't get me wrong it has been updated but it still had pieces of the past. With it being Lent I decided to try the shrimp street tacos something relatively new on their menu. Well the flavor was good the shrimp were mostly breading and had very little shrimp on the inside. Along with my shrimp tacos I also got the Mexi Chips and Dips and a Bean Burrito. I need to trust Yelp! The parking lot was nearly full, so I gave it a try even though there are two stars. Either they have a bunch of employees or someone else is parking here, because its not customers. There were 3 couples plus myself inside and about 20 cars outside. They have a tamale special which looks good. But, when I got it, I never saw tamales that small. I left hungry and disappointed And the guy wrapping the food with gloves on is also the cashier. Location is pretty clean overall. The quality of the food is your basic, standard expectation of a taco bueno. If you dine in just be aware that its always super hot inside. As someone from the East Coast, this was a Great chain taco restaurant. My business friend had a strong hankering for a breakfast burrito after an early morning flight, so here we stopped. We bought way too many breakfast burritos, so I both gorged and sampled my way thru the menu. First up was the meat lover's burrito. The cheese and tortilla were great. The tortilla was unlike anything found out east. So it was novel, nice and tasty. However, the meat combination didn't do it for me. If I wanted an early morning cholesteral bomb, I would return to a Sonic's breakfast burrito. I only ate 1/3 of it as I had more to come. The next one on the menu was the Chorizo & Cheese breakfast burrito. This one rocked. I enjoyed the taste, the mix, and the good old grease. It hit the spot and I ate it all. Again, a major warning - I'm an Eastie, so my palate isn't as spoiled on fine tex-mex. This worked for me. I finished it. Finally, I had the Briscuit & Cheese breakfast burrito. My friend really enjoyed his. It smelled like dead squirrel to me. He raved, but I know what good briscuit is (though not enough to spell it correctly). This was my least favorite. After a few bites I was finished. Definitely a good stop. I would readily stop again. I look forward to sampling other menu items. read more

Worst Bueno EVER! 1st the female answered the drive thru in Spanish and was the rudest person when I could only speak English to her. I stressed to her we wanted the original chicken chilada platter NOT the newer cheesy chicken one. She gave us the wrong one and when I let her know she snatched the bag back and helped a man remake them. Same box. Got home to find out they used the same nasty shredded chicken and just scraped and remade the original ones. Shame on this place for not doing their job and then being rude about it. read more

I love Taco Bueno! It's one of the places that I make sure I eat at when I come to Dallas. We have one in Houston (or maybe a couple, I'm not sure) but it's at least an hour away.... *sadface* The food just tastes better than regular fast food. Supposedly they do make everything fresh and to me it tastes like it. Or maybe that's just because I don't get it very often....lol They are a little more expensive than Taco Bell, but unless I just am broke, I would definitely come here over the Bell, and if y'all know me, you know I LOVE the Bell! They have the inside salsa bar which I love; I got my order to go here last weekend so I didn't hang around but the people were very friendly and they got my order to me fast. Can't beat that! I'm no stranger to the goodness of a little Taco Bueno. But I've been in a lot of them that were no bueno. Eating fast food in Farmers Branch can be a mighty humbling thing, so even though it was a gamble to check out the local Taco B, I'm pretty glad I did. This location has done some serious renovating. The dining area was spotless, which, yeah...is shocking. There are new seating areas, clean booths, fresh paint on the walls, you name it. The staff was friendly and didn't leave me hanging too long just trying to get someones attention. I rolled old-school on'em with that Mexi Dips and Chips. You already know. Of course the chips were fresh death and the queso fantastic in their little mini-taco salad shells. The place was clean, the staff were friendly, the food was fresh, I mean that alone is a win for me. I will be back to this location for sure. read more

The food is pretty good , there is a bit of a wait especially during lunch hour but not too bad. My only complaint about this location is that the women at the drive through are always sassy. They never smile and today when I got the wrong order I tried to politely tell the manager and she rudely said "give it to me" and then she said she had repeated the order back to me but honestly it was difficult to understand her through the speaker. She shut the window and I kind of felt bad because I know they're busy so when she opened the window I said "sorry about that" she basically tossed the food in my car and shut the window. Went through drive thru yesterday for lunch and ordered the mexidip and chips. I opened the container for the queso and there was a hair in it. GROSS! I emailed the company to let them know and no one has emailed me back yet. This was from last week and they and they are just now posting it on yelp. Made our order at 7:47pm, we didn't get our order until 8:05pm. I could imagine if the restaurant was packed, but we were the only ones in the seating area. Then when we told the staff they didn't apologize or even treat it like a big deal. Then to add on to the experience my rice was burned and dry. The salsa bar was running low. I used to come here all the time for the inconsistently prepared fried cheesecake, but then became deathly sick after a specialty burrito they served me. Their corporate office offered to pay medical bills which I didn't take them up on. I tried them again 6 months later but got sick again! read more

Last several times Order has been wrong, food has become inconsistent.
