Wanted to give a shot out to Sachse's Taco Bueno. I left my purse with $$, numerous credit cards & my driver's license in their restaurant on Friday evening. I didn't realize it until around 9:40pm. Drive thru gets busy at night but seems to flow pretty well. Play candy crush, it will buy you some time:-). I'm in the dine in today and all was fast on ordering and getting our food. Be careful with drink lids, for some reason I thought the small drink lids were loose on the fit. Maybe it was just a certain batch though. Placed an online order, got there to pick it up, they claimed not to have received it. Showed them screen capture of the order and order number and address, confirmed that I was in the right place. They had my money already, but refused to make the order because they didn't get an email. Their manager is absolutely useless, there is NO customer service at all. From the long lines inside and in drive through, getting your credit card double charged is all good but catching some of the employees doing illegal activities in the restroom at a fast food establishment was funny and disappointing at the same time. Not good. I went to the front door at 9:15 not realizing that the dining room closed at 9:00. They waved me around to the drive-through. I went through the drive-through and they said they were out of beef. I ordered a couple of bean burritos and specifically asked for 6 salsas, and even though they didn't have meat (which should be a requirement), they couldn't even give me the salsa I asked for. Hey, it's Taco Bueno. You get what you pay for. Check out the old, crunchy (literally) rice they served me. Eww! Disgusting. They do that "mix the old food with the fresh food" trick which really isn't a trick since we all know it. But then it ruins the taste of the fresh food too because "ain't nobody gonna" eat that stale ol' rice even if you have mixed in with some fresh rice. Yuck! So, basically I kick myself every time I come back. But that One is really my fault since I know what it taste like and yet, I still come every six months or so. I have been going to this Taco Bueno for several years and have only ever had minor issues every now and then. My boyfriend and I decided to stop by after we got off work, and got our usual order. We got home, began to eat and as soon as I took a bite out of my burrito I started to gag (my boyfriend actually threw up). All 5 of the bean burritos looked the exact same and the two we both tried tased so disgusting I couldn't describe it, not even the couple pictures I took could do it justice. Food is good when they get the order right which is RARE, we made modifications to our order, that were chargeable upgrades but didn't receive them, typical of this location, no attention to detail, for drive thru customers this is frustrating bc we can't always go back and correct mistakes, you are stuck with what you get and that's a shame. The last 6 times I have gone through the drive-thru, the order has been short every time. This store consistently forgets to put everything in the bags. The salsa bar and fresh jalapenos make it my choice for fast food Mexican. The platters are delicious and get you full at a low price, plus they have a lot more options than Taco Bell.
