Ok. So we ordered our food, sat out on the patio (with the baby I might add) and ate. Afterwards, I took the baby to the restroom to wash his hands, and there was someone in the stall so we waited so I could use the restroom as well. This female employee came out, didn't bother washing HER (Victoria) hands and left. Ewwww. As if that's not enough, upon entering the stall, we found the toilet stopped up (see posted pic). So we left the restroom, only to find her cleaning the condiment bar. Yeah, we just ate those condiments... I guess finding something to clean up her mess was going to be left for the morning crew? So, just to make it even more amazing, as I leave the restaurant to go to my car, I find a Roach on the patio (see other posted pic). Lastly, my husband went inside to get a refill before leaving. Because the ice was empty in the lobby, he went to the counter to ask for ice. The man working the front counter completely ignored him. I mean, literally looked up at him, and continued to do whatever he was doing. My husband attempted to call him, however because he had headphones in, his call was ignored. I was to provide breakfast for a client training/meeting this week so I went to a Texas stand by breakfast of Taco's, offering variety and a morning flavor explosion for the taste buds. I noticed there was an online order system for pick up the next day. I called on my way in the next morning just as a safeguard... Yay my order was ready! The staff and management were so accommodating, making sure all was correct upon my arrival. This was 8:30 a.m. and luckily there was no line, I pulled right up to the window and was promptly handed my order. When I received my receipt the manager had also made sure to include my on line discount. The only thing that could have made this easier for me is if Taco Cabana also offered Coffee to go for a large group. Maybe this can be an option in the future? This restaurant is pretty filthy. There are a bunch of tortilla doughs underneath the tortilla maker thing- which is showcased behind a glass case and is pretty much the first thing you see when you get to the counter. The salsa bar and drink station are clean but the floors were covered with trash and spilled stuff and the tables were sticky and had dried queso and salsa. The bathrooms were worse than a gas station. The toilets were so gross- unmentionable. The paper towel dispenser was busted. Floors were covered in grime. Oh, and the sink I used literally lifted up and out when I turned it on. Three stars because our food was delicious but the restaurant was such a mess. Maybe they changed owners? This location used to be pretty decent but now it's just bad. The food comes out messy and the sauce bar is always out of stuff. You ask someone to fill up the sauce bar and they say sure...only to wait 15 minutes for them to finally get to it. The jalapeño's are terrible. Jalapeño's are supposed to be crunchy not mushy. WORST PLACE EVER. I don't know what the hell is wrong with taco cabana. I went there a couple months ago and it was terrible I waited 50 minutes for my order. So I left a review on yelp for that incident and they responded and gave me money back. So I was like you know what let me try taco cabana again. So I go there tonight call in for my curbside order they tell me my order is not there. So I send my husband inside and they tell him that someone has already picked my order up. So he comes out to the car hands me my phone and I go inside to talk to them. The manager on duty was so rude and could not give me any answer. All she kept saying is that they gave The food to someone else and that they apparently had the confirmation on their phone for my order. I do not believe this. If that's the case then taco cabana needs to look into why people are hacking into other peoples taco cabana accounts and picking up orders. This is a huge security concern seeing as my debit card is saved onto the app under my profile. Now if that's not the case then obviously the lady at taco cabana is lying and just gave my order out to the wrong person and would not admit it. Only after We went back and forth for 15 minutes and I got visibly upset and started raising my voice did she finally offer to remake my food for me. I have never been more upset about a situation than I am today. She was rude and disrespectful and just kept saying "I don't know. I don't know" I will be figuring out a way to contact corporate because this situation was not handled correctly and they need to learn how to train their managers and employees. read more

Late night last nite stopped by Taco Cabana to grab a burrito for the wife and myself sat in front of the drive though speaker several minutes saying "Hello". thought must not be working, drove around to the window and was met by female employee adjusting headset and said sorry, something about the headset, What do you want? (excellent service there!) Ordered and paid for two burritos she didnt get the order correct and when I asked if they they were going to correct it she gives me this put out look, huffs and hits the register and says that will be an additional $1.45 for s couple of squirts of sour cream (walmart and HEB gets .99 a pint and makes $$ from there). At this point forget it. Got home, started to eat my USDA steak burrito. Three bites into it and hadn't hit steak yet? unrolled it and counted U-1, S-2, D-3, A-4 pieces of thinly sliced meat in a $7. some odd cent burrito! UNBELIEVABLE! Have been here twice, (three if you count the return on the same morning for a wrong order) in the past three days and both times it was a mess. Last night I called the main customer service number about midnight and spoke a very long time to a very understanding young woman. Today, I received a call from the Manager, not the GM of TC in The Woodlands. I very much appreciated that call back and wasn't expecting it at all. We spoke of issues that I noticed were happening over the past 6 to 8 months or longer and he assured me that TC was working to get this location back up to par. I will continue to give this establishment a chance because typically their food is good value and taste for a chain and their breakfast is always good! I have hopes that they are not like one of six chains, who have shut their doors on College Park in the past year. Some others not mentioned have been sold and their business names changed. I pick up the office breakfast on Fridays from this location sometimes. Hit or miss on whether or not it will be ready when I arrive to pick it up even after I call in order the day before. HOWEVER...I forgot to call in the order this past week and had to walk up and order 5 dozen tacos to go. They were VERY accommodating and the manager even offered to help carry the boxes out to my car. They're tortillas are very good except with the economy they've gotten smaller as have many other products out there. Still always good though. Food is good for a fast food place. I read the negative reviews, but decided to ignore to make my own decision. Boy, the negative reviews are spot on! I'm not one to complain, but this place really needs to be overhauled. Ice machine had some sort of black mold/gunk inside the dispenser. No ice tea and no one around to care to make more. The salsa island was beyond disgusting. Salsa spilled everywhere and the salsa inside the container was warm as if it had been there for hours. The place was a bit dirty; floors, tables, chairs, salsa bar. There are great people in this world with big hearts.. They happen to be at this taco cabana. The manager and employees are some of the nicest people I have ever met!! They helped a hungry pregnant women who is very absent-minded.. The food was amazing! I have been three times and every time it got a little worse. I have never waited less then 5-10 minutes for someone to take my order at the counter (that was with no one in front of me during normal meal times.). While waiting someone always yells from the kitchen "we will be right with you!" Last time we waited 15 minutes for food only to be served food that was dripping in grease and missing sauce (we were one of two families in the building at the time.) To top it off our food came on a dirty tray that I watched an employe pick up from the counter after another customer dropped it up and put our food on without even running a rag over it! read more

My dad and I go to this location every Sunday , at this time on 11-11-18 around 11am it was not busy and we waited 45 min for our food, never takes that long and was not busy at all. I don't mind waiting for food if it's fresh but it was not that good for the wait . As church and noon approached it did start to pick up. I work in food service and this was completely unacceptable customer service by the employees , no sense of urgency and the employees looked like zombies and looked lost that were working . 2 days ago.......I was able to order in a fair amount of time, but when I went to look for a table I wanted to cancel my order. All the tables were dirty with food from the previous patrons, not trays but crumbs. The floor was sticky, and the condiments bar had food dried up on the counter with all spoon handles just as dirty. My coworker went to the restroom and when she came out, threw all of our food away and we left. It wasn't so busy that they couldn't stop to clean. I wanted to ask for a rag to clean tables myself. I'm just shocked that an establishment located in that area was so unkept. Uhm.... I guess we learned our lesson on eating at tex-mex food chains because this was by far the worst visit ever. The food wasn't even mediocre. Now I come from the service industry and have been in said industry for many years and if it's one thing I've learned is 'FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT'. Let's start off by saying that all of the employees looked as if they hated life and not to mention they also weren't the nicest people to visit in public. There was no ice in the fountain drink machine. Not a drop of tea made in the urns at the drink station. Cup lids were completely unstocked. Tables were dirty and chairs look like they just came from a garage sale held in a dumpster behind an abandoned furniture store. The floors are covered in food debris and other miscellaneous trash. After eating what little of my food I could all I wanted to do was throw guacamole on the walls in a tantrum of spite and disappointment. I'd probably get away with it too. I don't know why I keep giving this location a chance. I get decent service in the mornings, Unfortunately the evening service, attitude, etc. makes me rate this location 2 stars. It took 16 minutes tonight to get this order to go: 6 chicken fajita tacos, 6 steak fajita tacos. SIXTEEN MINUTES. I sat inside and watched the ineptitude.
