My 85th Birthday was on Taco Tuesday! I really enjoy a good crispy taco but have had trouble with finding restaurants that make a crispy taco and then cover it with lettuce and other toppings so that it is not crispy! ( A REAL pet peeve of mine.) I am pleased to say that Taco Exxpress knows that a CRISPY TACO should be CRISPY! I ate in and found several places to sit. The place was clean and includes salsa bar with complimentary chips. It contained a few red salsas - including Pico de Gallo - and a mildly spicy green salsa. The area was kept clean and replenished. Both salsas that I tried were fresh and very good. The crispy tacos offered for Taco Tuesday are $1.50 each and are STUFFED with either shredded beef, chicken, or ground beef for a second taco! I ordered 2 shredded beef and one chicken. I also ordered a side of refried beans. Lettuce and cheese topped them and they were DELICIOUS! The beans were creamy and flavorful! What a GREAT deal in this day of high good/restaurant costs. I was VERY happy and will return for Taco Tuesday again and again. The service to the overall space was being maintained - sweeping, mopping, table wiping, "Do you need anything?" was great for a busy, fast food place. They advertise 24 hour drive through as well. Ordered from taco exxpress last night as I've passed this bright reddish/orange restaurant countless times and always wondered what it'd be like. On this evening I was hankering for a nice torta and taco exxpress delivered. It was filled with tons of asada, cheese, creamy beans, sour cream, fresh onions, fresh cilantro, and pickled jalapeños. The sandwich itself is also quite large and muy savory, creamy, and spicy. :) The team was quick with taking my order and I got my sandwich quickly. I have to say this spot reminds me kind of a Cali Burrito or El Forestero type of deal, meaning in spite of it being a chain, it absolutely delivers. The food is consistent and always leaves you full and smiley. Consistent with the above, the decor is pretty standard and this team does a nice job of keeping the restaurant as neat as a new pin. Place is decent for late night cravings. I rarely go here in general though since I'm not that close to it. Their carne asada fries are always good. They give a good amount as well. This is usually what I order. Went here today since I was craving tacos and ordered the 2 crispy taco "value meal", which comes with 2 crispy tacos and a drink for $8.50. I went through the drive through and got my order in quickly. There was no one else in line. I opted for ground beef tacos, but got chicken instead. Not the end of the world. Still enjoyed it, but think I would've enjoyed the beef more. Costumer service was good. They answered my questions and put in my order quickly. This place also shares a parking lot with Jack in the box and the newly built dutch bros. Didn't go inside so can't comment on how inside the restaurant is. Honestly, I had never really been to that part of town as much. I saw this drive-through and on the window the food pictures looked really good. I wasn't expecting much. I looked on yelp they had pretty good reviews. Decided to give it a try I was pretty hungry. The way it works you order in the front and pay for everything in the front. The inside looked very clean and organized the bathrooms needed work, but maybe it was a busy day. The lady in the front that helped me was very attentive and helpful. The agua de horchata was so delicious one of the best I had. The street tacos and crispy tacos were also very delicious . It was definitely worth checking out . read more

I tried the menudo comes without hominy, wtf.. and unfortunately it didn't stand out. The flavor was pretty average and didn't have that rich, comforting depth you'd expect. I wanted some quesabirria tacos and they had a deal on DoorDash! Two tacos with rice and beans for $20. The quesabirria was very tasty. The meat was pretty soft and the tacos were very juicy. Date of Visit: Thursday, June 19, 2025. My best advice if you're thinking about visiting this restaurant for good mexican food: go somewhere else instead. Was able to place my order fairly quickly, however the speaker box in which you hear their staff who is taking the order does sound like it needs to be fixed. I placed an order for two street tacos, a super burrito and 5 crunchy shredded beef tacos. That came out to $44! Ok. So I paid the ransom and went home with my food ready to devour. My mouth was instantly met with bland, cold food. The burrito was a sour disappointment - very little meat, more beans than anything and the ingredients were not evenly distributed. The tacos definitely left my tastebuts wanting. The meat had no flavor. If I have to add sauce to make it taste good that is bad. Salsa should add flavor, not BE the flavor. Overall, I think it is safe to say I will not be here again. Please take my advice, do yourself a favor and spend your well earned dollars elsewhere. -Very sorry to the restaurant owner. I tried their Sunday Plate Special, the 2 Taco platter with rice and beans. I opted for 2 birria tacos and all rice, no beans. The birria was on point. Flavorful and soft. Every time I go here it never disappoints. The food is always hot and fresh with excellent service. Didn't get to dine in because my wife is sick so we went through the drive thru. I got my coworkers fries and they both said that eho ever made those fries was angry at the world. They said they were soggy with no salt no flavor and they tasted like they weren't fried long enough, there was no crisp to them. I ordered the burrito with the cheetos in it. It was okay. I saw they were doing dollar crunchy tacos on Tuesdays and had to come give them a try! For the dollar tacos, you can choose from shredded beef, ground beef, and shredded chicken. For the price, you can't really complain! They are a little greasy and dry than I would like but I would say out of the three my favorite is the shredded chicken. I was pulling up to the drive thru to see this lady at the counter chit chatting with someone. She saw me already but still kept talking. Mind you this was early in the morning and there were no cars parked outside. She waited till she was done with her conversation and when she finished she walked over to the window looking annoyed. When my friend said we were coming to eat at this place, I'll be honest, I didn't have high hopes. We went through the drive thru and their menu is the typical menu you'd see from a Carolinas or Aldabertos. I went with my go to order of Al Pastor tacos with a side of beans and rice. We did have a fairly large order overall and service was pretty quick to get our food out. My tacos were really good, I was pleasantly surprised. The meat was well seasoned and tender. I didn't bite into not one single piece of chewy fat. Their red salsa had a small kick but it was also good. Beans and rice were just mehhh and the carnitas we got weren't that great, it was a lot of fatty pieces and kind of dry. Overall it was fairly decent. We had a very good experience at our first time here. We ate inside. There were a few tables occupied, but plenty available. Looks like they do quite a drive-thru and take out business. There's a couple of TV's inside. One one soccer and one on news. The sound on both were low as they play Mexican music on the speakers, which I preferred over the sound from either TV. We ordered the Mexi-bowl, which is essentially a burrito bowl. One was with chile verde and the other with al pastor. The salsa bar was clean and tidy. We tried the two red and orangey colored salsas and both had heat! The orangey one seemed hotter. We usually like a bit of heat, so they were both good. The chips were okay. Our 'bowls' came on plates. It was nice that they brought our food to our table. Not sure if it's typical, but nice. Their chile verde is really good!! This was no watery sorta green pork stew. It had body and flavorful pork. We could taste the tomatillos and the Mexican oregano! We were impressed. The al pastor is also flavorful and both bowls had plenty of meat. I was craving carne asada fries on National French Fry Day so I came across this place on Doordash. I've been seeing some reels on Instagram about them so I wanted to try it out. They definitely don't shy away from the carne asada on top! I liked that they use the thin cut fries. It was a bit oily though which in turn made it a bit mushy (mushier than carne asada fries normally would be) but otherwise it satisfied the craving. Unfortunately it only came with two tiny little sauce cups of red and green salsa, which tasted great but could've used more!
