TWICE, 2 weeks apart, I received a salad with ROTTEN spring mix lettuce. We all know when we buy spring mix how it only lasts a few days. This salad smelled like that smell of week old spring mix. Well I ordered the Cobb salad and had it delivered to my job last night.... This is my last time giving Taco Mac any business... I spent almost $60 and the Cobb salad looked so damn disgusting and pathetic... The lettuce was very wilted,the grilled chicken was burnt, and like I said I ordered a Cobb salad for $9.99 and it was only wilted lettuce,burnt chicken, and a drizzle of egg crumbs....I called the manager and he was annoyed and acted like he didn't want to do his job... Got uber eats from here tonight and i was highly disappointed. The food not only took over an hour to get to me (not totally their fault) but when i got it my entire order was wrong as well as cold and old. I ordered boneless wings with two different sauces, side of fries and ranch and received 10 bones less wings just in buffalo sauce with no fries and no ranch. Luckily i can still eat bone in wings, i know other people would have big problems with that, but these wings were scrony and half covered in sauce and gross. The restaurant itself gets 4.5 stars. But this server gets 2-3 stars at best. I was seated at a table in the bar area on a Wednesday night which was great. My friend and I ordered 2 beers. Server comes back a good 5 minutes later to say we had the wrong beer of the month menus and trades them out. We try again. 10 minute later she comes back to say they're out of the beer we selected. So we select a 3rd beer. 10 minutes later she returns with our 3rd choice. Shouldn't take this long. But beer had arrived and I was happy once again. We ordered 20 wings, fries and celery with extra blue cheese. She takes our order and goes away not to be seen again until our food arrives. We have to flag her down to order another beer (she never was around to check on us). Takes a while to get these once again. We were maybe 75% of the way through our meal when she takes away our fries, replaces them with a to go box and drops the check. We had said we were still munching. We never asked for s box and she didn't ask if we wanted one. We finished our meal, again had to flag down our server to order a third beer as she was no where to be found. She had just greeted another table so it wasn't like we were her last table. Her service was poor. The food was great. Beer was cold and delicious. Make sure Mattaniah isn't your server. As a former server, with a friend who is a bartender, I was irritated at the quality of service. I never tip l as than 20% and I struggled to give her 15%. Definitely a great spot to watch any game with always a wide assortment of beer and wing choices! their burgers are that either-not the best in town but these are the burgers that will be filled with all sorts of various toppings and such. So specifically for this location? There isn't much that stands out among the crowd for me. We didn't have to wait too long to get our seat and the hostess was very patient with us. This place used to be one of my favorites. However the last few times I came THE SERVICE HAS SUCKED. The host acted as if he didn't want to be there, he attempted to sit 3 LARGE men in a small booth. Then acted as it was an issue when we asked to sit at a high top. So After this we get to our table its extremely warm inside as if the AC wasn't working, the the wait for a server.... the whole restaurant had tops 15 people in it yet 3 guys sitting near the bar at a hightop couldn't get one server. As we looked and saw workers just standing around no one asked to help or take our beverage order nothing. I had the Ace Pineapple cider which unfortunately wasn't one of the million beer(s) on tap BUT it was fantastic! They have vegetarian options here so I tried the nachos, train wreck style and they were pretty good. Hands down the most disappointing experience I've ever had at Taco Mac before. Our waiter was Luke, I can't blame him because he was new but the service is very slow! I also understand that in today's times nobody wants to work and EVERYWHERE is short staff, so I didn't appreciate when the manager Bryan came to tell me that I should bare with them because they are short staff! Honestly that is not my problem at all! I don't see "we are short staff" discounts on our bill. I ordered the "on a Monday" drink, and my drink literally came with a MOLDY STRAWBERRY on it, please see the photos. The manager even told me it was him that put it on my glass. I realize from the 99% health score results that they failed to provide adequate lighting, but there is no way you should be able to pick a moldy strawberry, cut that same moldy strawberry and put it on a glass without knowing ITS MOLDY. My s/o ordered mango chili salmon(well done) with Brussel sprouts, the salmon came medium well with no flavor and the Brussel sprouts were not even recognizable. My BBQ shrimp street tacos had watery coleslaw that significantly over powered the taste of the entire taco. We were too disappointed to even complain, I don't think it really would've made a difference. I know this place is struggling, but I think it's better they close down to regroup rather than stay open and provide awful food! Last thing, the fans outside are so dirty that the lint is literally falling on the tables luckily I moved my plate in time. I will never come here again. This was a really bad experience. Horrible experience. Facility was about 25% full. But short staff aside: Requested real menus. None arrived. Food arrived 45 minutes after being seated. They forgot to add chicken to my salad. My wife's fries were ice cold. No ketchup, mustard, salt or pepper on the table My friend got the wrong salad dressing. My bowl of chili was a cup. Other than that, "How did you like the play, Mrs.Lincoln?" Apparently others have had the same stellar experience. We live close by, but no more visits to this poorly managed restaurant. I used to go to Taco Mac at least once a week and often times more than that. I have noticed that the service has been declining for about two years, not just in this location but the others that I have gone to (Buckhead/Lindbergh and Midtown). I keep noticing that there are less and less patrons in their restaurants every time I go (even pre-COVID). After my most recent bad experience with uncaring staff at this location, I did some research. As it turns out, Taco Mac sold to a new company a couple of years ago. Clearly there is a culture there that is not customer focused. The only good thing about this restaurant is the selection of beer and the fact that it is open late. Nearly all the good reviews are from before March 2018, when the current ownership took over. read more

Sat outside. Waited 10-15 minutes without any servers greeting us in our table. We watched at least FIVE servers walked passed us several times, some of them made eye contact and quickly hurried off before we can flag them down. They were not even full. Taco Mac service is sure going down the drain. We got up to leave, went inside, and saw several servers hanging out inside and chatting away. As we were walking out, I was able to speak to the manager who offered that she will take our order, but followed by "but if you want to leave, I can't blame you." Decided to meet one of my fraternity brothers here to catch up on things. Got there around 6:30pm, crowd seem to be enjoying themselves, so started off great. I went and sat by the bar, and quickly got greeted by the waiter. He handed me the beer menu as well as the regular menu since i was thinking about dining in anyways. Ordered some drinks and looked at the menu. Don't get me wrong, I used to hit Taco Mac quite a bit, but this time I noticed the new menu. Wing flavors changed, again. After debating on what to get, ended up placing an order for the Habanero BBQ wings, roasted of course and they were pretty good, a little too saucy for my taste, but they were delicious nonetheless. I met a friend here who refuses to leave the Perimeter area, and since we were going to see a comedy show at the Punchline nearby, and I hadn't been here in a year, I decided to visit this Taco Mac in the hopes that it would be better since my last visit. Well, it's not. To be fair, we came on a big game night - last Saturday's Broncos vs. Patriots, and it was packed to the walls. My friend and I got lucky with seats at the bar, and I have to give it to this place, I've never had bad service at this Taco Mac, and service was great this time around too. The server, Brett, even knew the name of some obscure brand of beer my friend wanted. The reason this place still gets two stars is that I ordered my standard buffalo chicken tacos and they didn't taste as good as the same buffalo chicken tacos I've gotten at other Taco Macs. I don't understand this phenomenon as I'm sure their food comes from the same corporate warehouse as all Taco Macs. Why can't they get their food right? My drinks have traditionally been horrible at this location, so I ordered a soda. But my friend is a beer lover and she ordered two different kinds of dark beer with chocolate-something-or-other and she liked them but thought they were expensive once the bill came. Because we went on a big game night, every TV in the place was blaring the game. Added to that is the noise of people talking and shouting which ended in a sound level loud enough to be heard in Beirut. It was awful.
