FOOD POISONING We were there Wednesday night around 8pm. Ordered some food to go, took it home and settled in. In just a few hours what ever we ate wanted out......one way or another if you know what I mean. The next day, Thursday, my wife had to go the ER. She kept dry heaving. Fool me once shame on you, feel me twice shame on me. I didn't expect to have the same results as my previous visit here. To re-iterate, I do like giving a second try as the first one isn't always the full dictator of the overall results. This time, went with the same individual, ordered the coconut shrimp soft taco & they ordered a chick soft taco. * Everything was quick, efficient and ready, didn't have to wait long at all. However, as stated last time, our food was cold again. Cheese not melted, some of mine was cold not all of it & overall, scary. I wouldn't want to eat anything undercooked and it both the burrito itself and part of the food was. * The tater tots were hot & ready, drinks no issue but the main meal has been cold on two separate occasions and as the sharks say "I'm out". I came by last night while my son had basketball practice at Jackson High School. I am from Snohomish, so if you're familiar with the area, I drove 6+ miles out of my way to hit this particular place up. The food was great, but in all honesty, I couldn't really tell because I have no smell or taste since covid. But what compelled me to write this review was the absolute non presence of customer service in any way shape or form not even a hello or a thank you for goodness sakes. When I got to the window a masked young lady did not say ONE WORD to me the entire transaction. I, however said two words to her after she handed me my stuff "thank you." I wanted to tell her that the $15 I just spent was probably an hour of her wages (way more than she was worth!) and that she needed to learn basic customer service skills. Looking at the reviews for this particular franchise, I would ask...where in the heck is the owner? I'm in a similar business and take the aspect of customer service very seriously and yes, it's a lot of work and education to my staff, but it ALWAYS pays off in big ways. I am very concerned for the lack and care employees take in their jobs leaving the owners in an awful position. Come on work force, pick it up in all ways, and quit giving in and treating people like crap! Two stars for the cooks, but if I could rate the masked girl it'd be a big zero! read more

I've said it before, I'll say it again: there is nothing very Mexican about Taco Time. But that's not why you're here. You're here for the fresh northwest interpretation of "mexican" flavors. And yah, totally worth the cultural appropriation. I'm a huge fan of their chicken soft tacos - and woo hoo - they have a mini size too. That means I have room for Mexi Fries (aka: Tots), the white chicken chilli (spicy!), and to finish off we gotta have Crustos (I don't know what the heck they're supposed to be, besides sweet and delicious). I don't know much about this particular Lynnwood location, other than we were hungry and it was the closest one. We had a great experience and will be back if we're in the area. read more

Ive been told to try this NW jule with the well known mexi fries. I should have known better than to think it would be any better than the 2 star rating it consistently gets. Since back in the 80's, I've always appreciated Taco Time for their quality of food and large portions, which to me seemed to justify their higher cost than traditional fast food restaurants. However, the last couple times I have visited the Taco Time off 164th, I have been very disappointed. For a simple signature Soft Taco meal, which runs around $8.00, what I received failed to live up to any past expectations of the last 40 years. Basically, all I received by bulk was about 1/3rd tortilla, 2/5th lettuce, and maybe 1/6th meat and cheese - the rest was air. The total size was about 1/3rd smaller than what you would receive from a Taco Bell, for a similar offering, at a faction of the price. It just seems to me that the owner/operator of this franchise is trying to maximize profit at the expense of the quality of the product and their portions. For this I say - STOP BEING A CHEAP ASS or you will lose your business and tarnish the Taco Time brand beyond repair. As for me I'm not going to revisit this location any longer and expect the "For Lease" sign to show up soon. read more

WOW, they have gone downhill with their food, shame on you, I ordered food via doordash, mind you I'm less than a mile away from this Taco Time but due to work I wasn't able to leave my house so was excited to see they were on Doordash, but to my disappointed, I swear they sold me a bag of food that was left over from the night before, nothing, and I mean nothing was hot, their tater tots were absolutely horrible, they tasted like they were more than a day old, the crisp chicken buritto had congealed cheese inside of it, the shell was burnted and the guacamole that I paid extra for was browning and the crustos OMG they tasted like they were 2 days old with stale grease. . .I'm so upset right now and will be contacting my credit card company because this is ridiculous, I tried calling but no one answers their phone and I can't go up there because I'm working, so I will NEVER EVER get food from this place again, it's a shame they allow food to leave in that condition, where is the Quaity control!!! read more

Update: 10/29/14 This place has grown on me. Staff is friendly at the window. I'm just not a fan. I don't eat fast food a lot in general anyways but the price doesn't seem to match up here with the quality. It's not awful but it's not great either. You can get a lot more at Taco Bell for a lot less and the same quality it seems. My husband & I have been coming to this Taco Time for years, the consistancy has gone down hill lately. This evening my husband ordered through drive-through Diet Dr. Pepper(don't judge), mexi fries and Chicken soft taco. I ordered chicken white chili. My husband NEVER received his Diet Dr. Pepper, he received everything BUT! My chicken white chili looked like the very bottom scrapping of the pan or canned pet food. Not desirable to eat! Then the window clerk drops all my husbands change on the ground, NO, I'm Sorry, Nothing! My husband parked, went inside to speak to the manager and received no help. Bit into a hair in the food and left a message for the manager to call me back. A week went by and they did nothing. I tried them again tonight and this time they gave me a half filled pile of cold sludge. I went back for a refund for either order and was told they would only refund a small portion of one order. I asked for the manager's name and because this is how you handle an angry customer, was told they wouldn't give it to me. Already angry from the garbage food and worse resolution from an uncaring staff, I got upset at the counter and the staff member decided she would escalate to a confrontation. A very polite staff member in back offered to pay the refund himself, which I refused. He then asked me to leave or he would call the police because I was harrassing the staff. I was a total dick for sure, but I was just angry about being given bad food twice and treated like they didn't care. The staff member at the counter's conduct and the management's refusal to contact me is reprehensible. In a weird twist, the only person who behaved professionally and correctly in either circumstance was the gentleman who tried to defuse and then end the situation quietly and calmly. Nevertheless, at best you run the risk of eating poorly made food. At worst, you too will have to deal with their puerile uncaring register-biscuits (in addition to bad food). read more

I am really hesitant to score a fast food restaurant 5 stars because is there any fast food restaurant deserving of 5 stars? So much of the food is prepared in advance (although Taco Time's is the freshest...) so it's hard to award a high rating to this sort of food. Anyways... We had about 20 minutes to kill before meeting with some friends for some bowling, so we decided to hit the drive thru instead of having bowling alley food for dinner. It's hard to eat healthy when you go through the drive thru, but there are some options at Taco Time. I had their "Fit Hit" bowl with chicken... and a serious avalanche of diced tomatoes. I know tomatoes are ubiquitous on "Mexican" menus, but damn, this was overkill. I hate tomatoes but I stomached the mound of them. The bowl itself was decent - brown rice on the bottom, diced chicken and tomatoes on top. Not much else to say. It was warm, but not overly flavorful, although there was a hint of spice/heat. I can usually count on this taco time to be ok. But now tonight 2 wrongs, I am here to write. First off, the girl at the window forgot to add the guacamole so when I find out it's $1.09, avocado prices up? Geez. Then when I finally look at the said guacamole, it's brown, old and barely cold. Not ok!! Pop open the mexi fries and the first few were piled with salt. What is going on in there?! A few of the tots were edible, a few. That is a waste of my money. Thankfully the tacos weren't screwed up. But I look forward to taco time, I shouldn't be eating it while in a sour mood because of it. We just moved next door. We really wanted to like this location. How convenient our favorite place next to our town home. Unfortunately we will be probably finding another place to take our business. We ordered and paid for a chicken nacho what did we get you ask, a pile of chips with what looked like old melted cheese sparingly on them with a few olive and a glob of almost iced cold refried beans. The only thing that stopped us from taking it back and making a big deal was we just got off the road after driving an hour and a half and my husbands back is injured.
