5 stars for a fast food restaurant? I know..I know....maybe it's the sentimental value this fast food chain holds in my heart, memories of growing up, the fact that I haven't been in seven years but crave crisp beef burritos when I live in an area surrounded by top notch Mexican food. Probably all of the above. Like I said, I haven't been to a Taco Time in seven years, so I'm not sure how many remodels they have done or when this location last updated, but it was pretty nice inside. The menu has been extended and there are a ton of choices, and they have those touch screen soda machines with over a million options. Even though it's been the greater part of a decade, my trusty old favorites were still the same. Crisp beef burrito, crisp bean burrito, soft beef burrito, mexi fries, crustos....I'm officially salivating while writing this. Thank you Taco Time for always being consistent. My last visit was during lunch time before heading to the airport and it was pretty busy inside. There was plenty of seating and the dining room was super clean. The parking situation has always been a little of a challenge during busy hours but it's easy to park in the strip mall parking lot and just walk over. I know when I return to the Seattle area next, this will be my first stop right off the plane. It always is. Thanks again TT for the memories. read more

I have to admit, I get a craving for Taco Time every now and again. Their bean burritos hit the spot and a nice beef soft taco, hold the tomatoes always has the ranch imitation for sour cream running down my chin. In a good way of course. The past few times I've been to the Redmond Way Taco Time, the mexi fries have been given to me at around room temperature. Not exactly how I envisioned eating those long awaited deep fried morsels dipped in hot sauce. Taco Time, Eat Fresh. What about Taco Time, Eat Fresh and Hot Little Morsels of Mexi Fries? If Taco Time was required to always deliver on their mexi fries, always having them HOT HOT HOT, do you think they would get a better review and overall satisfaction from customers who have a craving for some Tacoy goodness? Although the food at TT is usually delicious (for drive through food) my salad was not all that great yesterday-disapointing! The employee was so sweet and friendly in the window and I received my food very fast. Something in it just didn't taste right or all that fresh. I have got to stop coming to Taco time. Last experience I had at a different location sucked and this one was not great. I went thought the drive thru. The guy taking my order was not exactly friendly. He for whatever reason could not hear my order. When I pulled around the girl that was giving my drink etc barely spoke to me. I am a fan. Taco Time will just enter in to my mind and the next thing you know I am in the drive thru. i will admit that in the spring and summer it takes will power to not go daily for the Caesar Chicken wrap. They don't offer it year round Taco Time tells me the lettuce is seasonal - I guess they do keep it fresh and local. I eat vegan now, so of course my first mistake was even stopping for fast food, but it did. Taco Time in Redmond offers a soft veggie taco. That's what I ordered. Drove home. Opened the wrap & took a bite. No veggies inside! Oh well, perhaps they use veggie burgers chopped up. I took another bite. This was no veggie burger taco. It was beef! Even when I wasn't eating vegan, I would have ordered fish or maybe chicken.......never beef! Disgusting! Five star food, experience and location. The location is clean and although older very well cared for. There is a small outdoor seating area on the grass under trees which is also a nice surprise. Although it is in a busy strip mall, the location feels like it has personality and is a welcoming environment. The crisp burrito is fantastic and full of flavor. I do love the crisp burritos and their salsa. They have a nice menu with a little bit of everything. There are healthy options and the deep fried options. They have the sweet potato tots as a special, which are delicious. The soda machine is a pick your soda and your flavor addition, which is a lot of fun. Each and every time I visit Taco Time I find fresh ingredients, crisp taco shells, and delicious salsa. The team is sometimes new but always attentive and eager to learn. I love taco time! There's no Taco Time in Hawaii so I go every chance I get. This particular location I did drive through and the voice on the otherwise was cherry and helpful! I was instantly glad I chose to come here. At the window the lady let me choose how many hot sauce I wanted (Their hot sauce comes in little containers, not packets! so yummy!!!). Just had lunch at taco time , very good! The chicken fit hit bowl is extremely good. Reminds me of the healthy choices at chipotle . The medium sauce is a little spicier than chipotle medium sauce . This is a one star review due to the multitude of nightmarish experiences I've had at this location's drive-thru. Honestly, this is the worst drive-thru I've ever seen, with the second worst being a Taco Time in Edmonds. There is no clear single line and many visitors do not seem to have the common sense to use the least bad way of entering the drive-thru, creating tons of confusion and rage, as people try to figure out where they are in the queues. There should only be one queue, Taco Time. Try painting some lines so people at least know when they're violating the rules. I suggest that the single lane start at the at the entrance off Redmond Way, so people coming into the drive through don't stack up into the larger parking lot. Until there is only one indicated way into the drive-thru, I will not be coming here again. read more

I am originally from SoCal, just moved to Redmond and every time I drive by this place it seems to be pretty busy. Today I decided to try it.... Price: This place it pretty pricey, a hard shell taco is 1.99!! Dell taco in SoCal has them 3 for a dollar on Tuesday! Every other day they are like 1.15. My meal was like $15 for 3 tacos, fries, and guac. Taste: I'm sorry but the taste was not that great. Del taco and Taco Bell taste exactly the same as this place if not better; with the exception that Taco time is pricier. The only thing I was impressed by was the high quality salsa. maybe this is one of those things that you grow up with and you end up liking. being 32 and tasting my first taco time taco, i can say it's close to the worst taco i've eaten, only slightly beating out the "mexican food" i've sampled in new zealand. since it's a fast food taco, i have to compare it to other fast food tacos - take a taco bell taco, remove any spice/flavor/industrial-taste-giving-molecules, and you get the taco time taco. i will concede that perhaps my tastebuds are geared towards things with flavor, and my judgment is unfair. so, to be fair, the "mexi-fries" are quite nice, since they are simply tater tots. on a personal note, i don't know how tater tots came to be classified as a mexican food, but i'm not gonna lie here - they are nice and crisp and better than sonic. please don't think i'm picking on the redmond location - i would write the same about any of these. i just happen to live here. read more

Ever since I moved to CA, everytime I come back to WA I have to go to Taco Time at least twice. Yes, I am a bit obsessed with their #4 (Crisp beef burrito, mexi fries and a drink - with lots of hot sauce). This is the only thing I ever eat here, so that is what is receiving 5 stars!!!! read more

I have come here a few times because it's convenient for me when i'm starving and don't have time. VERY quick and friendly service! I once had my burrito filled with tons of ranch, and I told the person the next day and they gave me a free meal, which was surprising for such a big chain. Great customer service! read more

Nonetheless, Taco time is my favorite fast food establishment. The menu is unique (i.e. crisp rolled burritos), food is flavorful, and always fresh. As the other reviewers say, Taco Time is definitely not Mexican: Taco bell is positively "authentic" by comparison. Taco Time's entrees are mediocre at best and are served with tater tots instead of typical Mexican fare. That being said, they have two redeeming factors: an amazing selection of soft drinks in a high-tech dispenser and tasty churros for dessert. read more
