Worst neighbors in existence. The music is over 100 decibles, louder than a jet engine. The bass is turned up to a level it does not need to be, you can feel it across the entire block. The outdoor dining shack is a storage shed for them, and it is infested with rats. They are not clean, the staff is rude, and the trash that they let collect in front is a clear sign they do not care about this community. Personally, I would avoid this place. For a lively spot people seem to like, you think they would show that they care about the image they present, but instead it is loud, dirty, and overpriced. If they cared about any of this, they would get their staff to do anything but make 30 dollar cocktails and turn their bass all the way up. This place seems extremly money hungry, and they clearly have no plans to change how ignorant or corny they present. read more

I visited this restaurant for the first time today because my friend YoYo recommended it and it was close to home. When we walked in around 4:30-5pm. The place was empty with mostly every table available and we asked to sit at a 4 person table because we wanted to be comfortable. The host and the waiter were a bit rude to us saying no because they have reservations for the entire restaurant at 5:20 .... Very odd !!! So they sat us in the most uncomfortable spot squished in the corner. Guess what ? At 5:20 and even when we were finished eating no one came for the reservations. I felt really weird about this but I guess it is what it is. The customer service wasn't there and I doubt I'll come back. The chicken quesadilla was really good though !!!! The shrimp tacos were bland and the sauce for the churros tasted a bit like chocolate but not really. I liked the presentation of the dessert and the margaritas were good. This a great place for a date, its dark and cozy. The artwork is amazing. The food is the tastiest! Every bite was so flavorful. Reservations are recommended as it is fairly new and fills up fast, mostly after 8pm. They have hookah! The drinks were so delicious and so we kept ordering more but they were very weak apparently because we had about 5 margaritas and walked out as if we were drinking water all night. I went with a friend for the first time this week. Let me just say, the ambiance was really nice and the customer service was awesome. We ordered two drinks each , they were really pretty but super sweet and tasted like virgin cocktails. Unfortunately they were super weak. We got the spicy guac that wasn't spicy at all with homemade chips which were good. For 14 dollars, it seemed like it was made with just one avocado which was disappointing. We ordered tacos (carne asada and pork). The order came with two small tacos each. For a pricy option, we expected more food. This doesn't take away from how delicious it was, but it was just very small tapas style plates which was mentioned. For the price, I prefer more portions so I docked a star. It would make more sense if the food costed less to match the portions. I will return but definitely on a taco Tuesday so the prices are more affordable. read more

They just sat me down and left. I literally watched people stand at the podium talking. It's okay for you to provide perspective but please acknowledge this feedback and try to not be defensive. And as for taste in food, I did mention that I could not give an opinion here. This does not negate price point though - you could have had a more elegant way of phrasing this. I've had Mexican food at different price points (taco cart to Michelin star) and I stand by my review based on my focal points. I recommend trying all of them! best margarita I ever had (they make them with fresh squeezed lime juice and agave nectar instead of simple syrup) ! If you're trying to impress a date definitely order the Santeria (a cocktail inside a skull head that they light on fire). I always order the guacamole as a starter because its super fresh and is the perfect thing to snack on while waiting for the tacos! Order a few tacos because the menu is more of a sharing style menu. I always order a bunch of different ones to share with the table. I suggest the carne asada, fish and lobster! so goooood! Also the mini quesadilla is the best and the short rib entree is to die for. This is my first time at this restaurant. I must say the ambiance and food is pretty good. However the customer service is horrible. The table the server sat us at was dirty. The only thing they changed on the table were the utensils. The table itself had food and residue from the previous client. After taking our order the servers never came and checked in on us, we have to ask three different servers for a glass of water before they came to fill up our cups. The server got my order completely wrong and never apologized nor acknowledge that they might have messed up our order. When it came to the bill, we waited at our table with empty dishes for over 20 mins and no one came to take up the empty dishes, deliver the bill, or asked us if we wanted dessert. We had to go up to the server in order to ask for our receipt and when we got to the middle of the restaurant we witnessed the entire staff sitting around eating and talking. When we received our bill we realized that they added a large group gratuity to the bill at 20%. I planned on still giving a fair gratuity after our experience, however I find it very outrageous for the server to add an large group gratuity to the bill, especially since it was only myself and my girlfriend that dined that the restaurant. Overall the food was good, however the service was horrible. This may have been the worst service I've ever experienced. read more

The food was pretty good. We ordered the pork, steak and fish tacos. The fish and steak tacos were amazingly good and cooked to perfection. The pork (al pastor) was very dry, but flavorful. Also, the cocktails took forever to arrive. The restaurant wasn't crowed, so I am unsure what went wrong there. What frustrated me was that I went to the restroom and there wasn't any soap. I reported it to one if the wait staff and the woman walked into the restroom to check to see if I was telling the truth. I had to wait for the other restroom to be free so that I could wash my hands . An hour later, I went back to the same bathroom and the soap wasn't replaced. This is why I am giving only 3 stars. I came here to celebrate my birthday last night. I made a reservation last week for 12 people and when I get there with all my guest they tell me that they cant find my reservation. After 15 minutes they come and say they can sit us but that we will all be sitting on the couch (which only fit 9 people). We were all squished with no room. After giving them ideas they finally agree to add another table to the couch. The santeria drink is $28 and you are literally paying for juice in a skull that they light up when it arrives for 3 seconds. One of my friends cant eat dairy and she specified that when she ordered her plate. It arrived with dairy and by the time they fixed it and brought out the plate again everyone had finished eating already. When the bill came we noticed that there was 2 gratuity lines included in the bill. One for 28% and another one for 10%, a total of 38% gratuity already included in the bill. We brought it up to the waitress who apologized and says its a "system error". How is that a system error? You were about to charge 38% of the bill.. thats a big amount. Thank gosh we double checked the bill. Not a great experience for my birthday and they didn't even give us a free slice of cake for the inconvenience of messing up the reservation. read more

The duck tacos were extremely dry and not good. The tacos were also small. At least give the consumer a regular size taco if you are charging 16 for 2 bite size tacos and no sides. do i saw this place on instagram and thought this place looks great let's go eat !!! so last night i went i had the octopus and steak taco and tumba mojito my friends had the cheese bowl chicken taco some pineapple drink churro we received complimentary shots and been taco so here goes the place was very nice it's gorgeous even the bathrooms it smells fresh it's an intimate spot not big at all but a nice size. The steak taco was different it's a nice long thick portion of steak in the middle so you get meat in every bite the octopus was very good and the mole sauce delicious everything we had was delicious the drinks were not too sweet but strong enough our waiter was so nice and helpful they have a dj and serve hookah but we didn't get to experience that we had dinner at 7 the hookah and dj comes at 9 so i have to go back to see the night life oh and it gets crowded it's best to make reservations and give yourself 30 minutes to find parking over there read more
