A co-worker who recently moved to California from Vegas recommend Taco y Taco so I put it on my list the next time I'm in Vegas. I was in town with my parents for Thanksgiving, I stop in 11/28 before I made my way back home. We all ordered tacos, asada, cabeza, sesos, tripas and their grilled cactus tacos, I love grilled nopales so I had to try it. They were all very good but my favorite was the tripas, not to crispy but not chewy, they were perfect. The service had to be 10/10. I wanna say it was the owner how took our order and was actually surprised to see her also bring our food out, she was very attentive. The vibe was super chill, the restaurant was very well kept. This is one of the best taco places in the area! The prices are relatively fair, not that much more expensive as a taco stand in California. The cashier was friendly and the food arrived not too long after. You're given a number when you order, you seat yourself, and the food is delivered to your table. The restaurant is roomy with plenty of seating. The restrooms are a little dirty and could use improvement. There's a lot of salsa and topping options at the toppings bar as well! Came here during lunch hour and had a Burrito with half Soyrizo and half Seta for my protein option. It was very good and reasonably priced for $11. We lucked out and entered early enough to avoid the long line that formed after we ordered. The atmosphere is lively. Service is friendly and attentive. Later that same week, I was fortunate to enjoy their catered tacos at a work luncheon. To the double, mini corn tortillas, I added pinto beans, Spanish rice, fajita veggies, onions, cilantro, salsa, and spicy guacamole. These were very good. The tortilla chips were too salty for my taste. They could cut the salt in half and nobody would complain. It's not necessary to make tortilla chips that salty. I've been coming in this place since I moved here in South Henderson from San Diego. I would say it's the best place you can have tacos. Met the owners... beautiful Fabie, hope I spelled it right! The counter looks like a waitress stand since the lady stands in front of it so it's a little weird. The place is nice and open with plenty of spots to sit. They must have had some bad people ruin the salsa bar. There is a policy note taped to it and when you order the lady asks if you want salsa. I guess the policy is one cup for every taco. It was enough to try 3 salsas and all were great. My only gripe is that my carne asada tacos had only one tortilla while the al pastor had 2 tortillas. I went and let the manager know and she just said sorry. No refund, no offer to help w broken tooth. Their guac is TERRIBLE, no flavor, all onions and tomatoes, total rip off, and their cabeza taco was the toughest cabeza I've ever had. So tough I had to spit out the meat. I've been to many Mexican restaurants all around the Las Vegas valley, but it's hard for me to choose just one favorite. Taco y Taco was the latest Mexican restaurant that we visited. From the outside, it looked like it was a casual sit down restaurant. But when we walked in, it was one of those restaurants where you pay up at the counter, give you a number, and they bring your food to you. It was a little busy but there were plenty of open tables around and the line was moving quickly. Also included in the restaurant is a small bar area and a sauce bar. There were also stairs that may have lead up to more seating? But it looks like it was blocked off. So many food items to choose from! But I had my eye on the burrito. So I ordered their burrito, with my protein being pollo (chicken) and my boyfriend ordered a breakfast burrito (breakfast for dinner, am I right?), also with pollo I believe. Our side was a thing of fries, topped with beef protein, cheese, avocado, and sour cream. Ahhh, they had some fantastic tasting burritos! On my burrito, they did overdo it on the rice a little bit, like it was PACKED with rice, but still, it was yummy! My boyfriend described his breakfast burrito as a little on the dry side, but at the same time, still delicious. The fries were crunchy and the toppings made them more flavorful. I ordered 3 Street Tacos with Al Pastor. I dined-in at the restaurant. The flavor was good, however....the soft tortillas were not even warm at all. Not sure if they even heated them up. The meat tasted good , but the temperature was not really warm. Is it supposed to be like that? Idk, but I've had tacos with both tortillas and meat being nice and warm tho. This was our first time trying this place, a friend recommended it. We popped in around 1:30 on a Wednesday for lunch, and it wasn't that busy. We were able to order right away, the food came out efficiently, and was pretty good. It's a bit of a funky space inside, but it works. My only criticism would be the staff working wasn't the friendliest, but they were in no way purposely rude. I had the carne asada fries, and two carne asada tacos, both good! Recently, I heard about Taco Y Tacos from a business colleague, and we decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself is nicely laid out, with enjoyable music and an inviting setup featuring both upstairs and downstairs seating. Unfortunately, they broke the golden rule: be kind and courteous to the patron. At the front desk, we gave the clerk several opportunities to make a good impression, but not once did we receive a smile or even a response to my simple greeting, "Good evening, how are you today?" I wish that had been the extent of our disappointment, but sadly, it wasn't. When our tacos arrived, they were bland and lacked the flavor we were hoping for--something that never quite recovered with each bite. While we understand that every kitchen can have an off day--perhaps the chef didn't add enough seasoning--it's unacceptable to have an off day when it comes to kindness and appreciation for your patrons. It is a loud atmosphere music playing, and you pay before your order so it's more takeout.! I ordered a Buche taco and a steak torta! The meat on the taco was seasoned so well very flavorful. They have happy hour specials that start at 4 or 5P. Tried their chicken nachos (can be easily shared between two people) and a few street tacos. I came in with some buddies because we were craving tacos. I had mentioned I never tried this place, and they told me I was missing out. They were right! This place is located in a huge plaza with tons of parking available. The interior was clean and spacious. They even had an upstairs area. [Service] We came in around 4 pm, and it wasn't too busy. Upon entering, we walked straight to the cashier and skimmed the menu. They had lots of options for meat. The cashier was friendly, and as soon as we placed our order, the food came out quick. They have a self-serve station for the sauces and sides. Good service! [Food] I ordered four adobada tacos and four Carne asada tacos with everything. I was happily surprised they added pineapple to the adobada tacos because most places I've been to don't do that anymore. Both the meats were full of flavor and so good! The pickled jalapeños were also really good. I could've eaten them by themselves. Great tacos. This is a solid taco spot for sure. I will be back to try all the other goods that have to offer. Came here with coworkers one day. Easily located in the plaza next to Zupa's. Tons of parking outside, and inside there were plenty of seats. Clean interior, quick service at the counter, and ample menu to choose from. I got a carne asada burrito - this was by far the closest here in Vegas that I've ever come to finding something close to the Super Burrito I grew up with from La Tapatio in the Bay Area.
