This is a great taco spot if you're in the area! The tacos were good and they come out hot, I tried pastor and steak and both were excellent. Had to try the quesadillas as well and they were perfect! The red salsa is super tasty, the green packs some heat, tacos came with cilantro, onion and limes. The staff were kind and very helpful. I came on a particularly busy day (3 tacos and 2 quesadillas took about 40min), but they had phone and to go orders pretty constantly, it may have just been the worst time. The shop is a little run down, but it's clean and you come for the tacos not the vibes. Overall this was a great taco spot and definitely try it if you're in the area. If you are in the white rock area and are wanting to have lunch at the lake, grab yourself some of these tacos with a grapefruit jarrito! I recommend getting the bistec and carnita tacos with their avocado/jalapeno salsa. My only complaint would have to be that they give you little to no lime slices; and when they do, they don't have any juice in them. The service is quick! I usually order ahead of time but when I do have to go in-person, it takes no more than 15 minutes to get my order handed to me. You order at the counter from a simple menu board. I tried the chicken, steak and pork tacos - one each. Good portion for lunch. Would want 6 tacos for dinner. They are small in size, but pack a punch with spicy sauces that come on the side except for the pastor. You can get cilantro and chopped onions added on top. The chicken meat is a little dry, but the sauce makes up for it. They have flour and corn tortillas. I opted for the corn which were made there and so good. Great taste. They double the tortillas for each taco. A number of beverage choices, including Mexican Coke. Loved this local place. Really tasty. read more

I love the taco places were I struggle to pronounce the name as none of my Spanish classes from high school stuck. That said, I saw this location on yelp and decided, "yeah, this is dinner." They are in a small like plaza, it's them and then a convenience store next door, so the parking is very slim. Upon entering, the place appeared clean and they are taking COVID into consideration. All employees had on gloves, masks and they enforced 6 feet distancing when ordering. There was no signage but I think they even required you to wait outside after placing your order to avoid over crowding. They also had a bottle of hand sanitizer for those looking for a quick hand clean. Tacos come with onions and cilantro. Grilled onions are available but have to be ordered on the side. Cheese has to be requested, and any extra sauce is .25 cents. All of this is reasonable no biggie. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and two steak tacos. When I got to my destination, I opened up my meal and was shocked I had to basically build my own taco. (Add the cilantro, onions, cheese and sauce). I still was fine with this. The first bite was the chicken tacos and wow, what a disappointment. It was clear this chicken had sat out all day and/or overcooked as it was HARD as a rock. I was so disappointed, as my chicken fell out the back of my taco you could literally hear it the chicken was so hard. The steak were better, but only left me with half a meal. I ordered 2 steak, 2 chicken, 2 al pastor tacos, 2 quesadillas, and the Alambre (steak fajita). They give you a very generous amount to cilantro, onion, limes, and green/red hot sauce. So food... I ordered two tacos and a quesadilla. However the chicken was hard as rocks.. I think it make have been sitting out too long after cooking or just cooked too long period. This place used to be great and I have bought tacos several times. It was a family favorite, but changed into a totally different experience the past visits. We ordered 4 pastor and 4 breakfast tacos to-go this morning. They only gave us 3 hot sauces and wanted to charge $.25 each for more when I asked. We added our hot sauce there to avoid being charged. They should at a minimum provide one hot sauce per taco for to-go orders if requested and not charge another $1.25. The pastor was my favorite in the past because it reminded me of a traditional trompo style taco. Now they are in a very oily sauce with little chunks of pork that wasn't good nor like trompo. The egg and bacon breakfast taco had no bacon except for the last bite. We also only got two napkins. It's sad to say, but seems they are cutting corners to likely reduce costs. It was a much better place when it just had the small tables in the main area with better food. Now they have worse food and appears empty in the seating area on the side. I hope they are able to return to a quality place, and I will not be back for a while until they work it out. I wish them the best. read more

Had their breakfast tacos for the first time and was very disappointed. I was starving so I ate one but couldn't finish the other. They don't scramble the eggs, they just fold them and it creates that browning of the egg that I don't like. There were a variety of options, like usual. I got one pastor taco and one bistec taco (pork & steak). Both were great, but I'd pick the pastor taco if I came again. It was bursting with more flavor. There was a lot of cilantro on my tacos which I didn't like, but that was just a small issue. A lady brought our food to us which was nice. Along with our food came two sauces.
