We were served 2 salsas , pico de gallo n tomatoe ( they both tasted rotten and the tomatoe sauce was bubling white) the waites( owners dtr) was informed and she replied upruptly that the salsa was just made. 2nd. cheese and beans nachos I ordered looked like they were left overs covered with alot of melted cheese. Again I asked the waitres if it could b removed from my bill 12.99. Since I only ate 3 nacho chips from the Nacogdoches order..beans was disgusting.. the waitress said no the owner did not agree on taking out of my bill. Next time select correctly. I will never eat at this place again the inside of my wife's soda glass was completely greasy the chips were very burnt my margarita tasted like a cup of lime juice the chips and salsa which are usually free especially when they come up and set them on the table for you we did not order them they still charged us $3.50 in and for a Mexican restaurant to have bad chili Verde that says a lot about a place and even though we told them the glass was greasy they did not bring us a new soda and they still charged us for that too I do not recommend this place at all if I could do a rating without one star I definitely would read more

I have always had a great experience until today. I called ahead to give them plenty of time. She told me 10 mins on the phone - when I showed up at 15/20 mins later, it still wasn't ready. Then she didn't give me my debit card back normally like people do after they swipe it. So I had to drive all the way back (another 15 mins) to get it. The food is cold now and missing the sour cream on top like the menu says it has. What a waste of an hour and now I have cold food I won't eat. It looks like they just slopped the beans on. Food is great ... there really isn't much of Beyonce. It's not a super hot date night place but the foods great and the service is nice.

The food is good and the ladies who work the front desk and serve are very nice but take out orders are always wrong. No joke this is the 8th time this has happened. I'm a vegetarian and they always put meat in my food. Even when the ladies ask the cooks if the order is correct the cooks say yes. I shouldn't have to unwrap my food to check. This is the first restaurant I found when I moved to Bakersfield. Small, good food very welcoming, friendly staff and close to the house. Breakfast is especially good, they add a small amount of cinnamon to the coffee and it is really good for restaurant coffee. One of those places that is always good. read more

This joint has some great tacos. I recommend trying and frequenting. The food always taste great. They have one of my favorite molcajete salsas which is amazing here. It's an orange color salsa. They also make a really good guacamole. They are good about throwing in a bag of chips with your order, which most other places charge. Great place and great people who work here. read more

Mexican food restaurants are all over the place, but this place really stands out because of it's value and taste. They've got a lot of unique items I've never seen in other restaurants (including Los Angeles). The burritos are well priced at 4.95 (all meats included rather than a complex price structure). I had the barbacoa beef burrito and really enjoyed the texture and amount of beef in the burrito. The salsa bar has plenty of variety that is sure to please fans of all heat levels and chips are included in your meal! We also had the spicy bean dip which is fantastic but probably overkill for two people ordering separate dishes in addition. I will definitely come back here when I'm in town and hopefully have room next time to try one of their desserts read more

**** SHADY BUSINESS ALERT **** BE - AWARE!!! Never coming back here again. Ordered 3 items from this restaurant this morning, and they asked me to pay for my items. The charge seemed very high to me after I signed for them at $26.73. I had ordered 3 items to-go: 1) 1 chorizo breakfast burrito $6.50 2) 1 machaca breakfast burrito $6.50 3) 1 large menudo $8.59 If you do the math, does it seem strange that I would be charged $26.73 for those 3 items, when I've itemized them out for you? Here are my thoughts: 1) the subtotal should be $21.59 based on simple math 2) even if you add in taxes (7.25%) to the subtotal, it would be around the ballpark of $23.16 for the grand total 3) so why was I overcharged $3.57 for my order? 4) I had to go back to ask the lady at the register why I was charged $26.73. She said she mis-read the order of "burrito-only" and gave me back $2 in cash. 5) then I went back to the lady at the register again and asked for another $1 back because it didn't add up. why only give me $2 back and not the full $3.57 that I am owed? 6) she casually said "oh, I forgot the taxes", and proceeded to give me another $1 back in cash. 7) so in total, i got $3 back in cash, but am missing the $0.57 cents. 8) isn't it strange that they just open the cash register and give back cash like that? is that how they do the math and account for purchases at this business? 9) this whole incident leaves a bad taste in my mouth - not sure why they made these mistakes or if they were just trying to take my money, thinking that I would not look at the receipt. The taco bowl itself was great, crispy and flaky. It was the fillings that need a little work: the beans didn't have much texture, they had more of a runny consistency. That was a request we made and they said yes! First of all, who has carnitas on a fajita menu? No one that I know of. The carnitas were excellent, moist and a bit of a crunch. I loved it! Unfortunately the chicharrón sauce was wayyyyy too salty! Overkill. We weren't able to eat much of it. The sauce was a chili verde sauce. I always go here for lunch as it is located next to my work building. The food tastes so very authentic and I cannot tell you how much the rice tastes like my mamas rice ! Yum . Nothing that's frozen EVER . My favorite combo platter is the cheese enchiladas and I always order a cold refreshing horchata to compliment my meal . The prices are very reasonable and the portions are incredibly generous. You can tell the cook takes his food very personal just by tasting how much love he puts into. I love the consistency in this restaurant. I mostly come here because the girls working here actually care about you I always look forward to seeing who's working because they're such a delight super friendly and hardworking- very sweet & considerate by going above & beyond to make sure their customers are happy . Would have been nice to have more Chile Verde included. They are a good 3 star restaurant. Will be returning in the future. I try to order something different every time I visit today I ordered their asada fries and let's just say ahhhmazing! Even though the place is small it gets busy and with only 1 waiter (I've never seen anyone other than the young guy) our food still gets out to us promptly. Blink and you'll miss it. Actually, you'll probably miss it even if you're looking. Tucked away in a tiny strip mall, Tacos Las Salsas managed to put out the flavor and the service. So good in fact, people park at Mauricio's and walk over to eat here (ya, the parking lot here can be a pain). Inside, seating is limited. It's always busy around dinner time and it's not unusual to see several groups of people sitting outside waiting for a table. Luckily, we walked in just as a group walked out. A waitress told us about 5 minutes and we stepped outside to wait, since there's zero space inside. Just a quick minute and our table was ready. Within seconds chips and salsa were delivered to our table and our drink orders placed. This place is efficient! Thanks to Yelp, we ordered the carne asada fries. We never saw these on the menu, but did notice as we were leaving it was posted on a small sign near the register. The portion was huge. Enough to share with 4 people as an appetizer, or eat yourself as an entree. The pozole, which was that days special, was pretty good. It lacked a bit of spice and the meat was tough, but the flavor overall was good. My only problem was that the soup was insanely hot! I sat there for a good 30 minutes waiting for it to cool down enough to consume. Thankfully, the tortillas helped curb my hunger. In the end, I had to take the pozole to go. They packed it up in a container filled the quart size up! I didn't realize there was that much pozole. Certainly enough for two people. Prices are reasonable, and the food is good.
