First off, this place is delicious. They have really great beans and offer you chips with salsa and beans while you wait. I got taquitos a few days ago and they were SO good. Today I got the nachos with Asada and no sour cream. Was going to eat them while I did laundry next door. Get the nachos and then go over and open them but there is sour cream. Go back over and they offer to make them again and give me my money back! Now that is great service. Definitely coming here more often! read more

I want to give this place a third star but the service... Reprehensible. They seem to not like taking phone orders as they refuse to answer the phone. Menu says menudo on Friday and Saturday but according to the lady taking money and handling food at the same time they had nothing but tacos and burritos. Had to repeat my order for this chick a few times. She then proceeds to charge me 4% extra for using my debit card? Wtf? This was our first time coming here and although the food was not bad, we were really disappointed that we only received half our order. We ordered 4 street tacos, a burrito and a side of rice. When given the to go bag, we only saw the tacos in tin foil and the burrito so we asked for the rice we ordered. Unfortunately we didn't notice there were only 2 tacos in the tin foil until we were already home. So the food wasn't bad but we literally only received half the food we order so that wasn't fun. So I bring my daughter and her friend to omañas in Covina and we order our food. As I'm placing my order she starts give g me looks. We get our food to eat there and of course my order is wrong. I go tell her and gives me attitude. I ave another order to go and she rolls her eyes at me. I have only visited this place once so this review maybe updated in the future. I got a carne asada burrito and it was meh. I had many issues with the burrito. The taste was okay but it had no texture; it was just a mush inside. The size for the price was not what I was used to. Finally, since the filling was just a mush, everything inside will go everywhere every time you bite into it; I forgot to add they do give you napkins so be sure to use them. I might try this place again but from my experience I am not a fan. The service on the other hand was very quick. Ordered the California Burrito (comes with fries inside ) for $1.50 more and it was like 10 skinny fries they put in there. Beans were like wet refried beans and it was over loaded in the burrito. I was initially excited that they moved closer to me but wow, what a disappointment! My favorite used to be the fish tacos so I ordered one, tasted old and bland, nothing like they made it at the prior location. Both red and green salsas were bad...usually a good salsa can make any dish taste better but not these. I also had the taco dorado with carnitas. The carnitas were good and so was the fried tortillas but the green sauce ruined it. My brother ordered the nachos with lengua and he was disappointed as well. Staff was friendly and helpful, they offered their recommendations and it was delicious. We are not from the area, so I did what I do best and yelped somewhere for dinner...small place with a large selection of flavors. I lived by the one in El Monte and refused to eat there, because at the time they had a "C". My husband grew up El Monte and would rave about the food, but I was never convinced! I was loyal to King Taco in El Monte. Last night I wanted something yummy like tacos. As we are driving to my moms house we see this taco place and decide to try it. I'm so glad we did. At first I said I didn't want anything, just food for the kids. And then I quickly changed my mind when I saw all the customers inside eating what looked like amazing tacos. I had 3 tacos. They were so delicious. The meat was flavorful. The Salsa tasted as if my grandma roasted the chile. Just amazing food overall. I don't live near any yummy taco places. I really wish they would open up in Rancho Cucamonga. I'm so happy to know that I don't have to drive all the way to El Monte for King Taco because these are up there with them. Great Tacos n Burritos. I've been a fan since Mr. Omana had his Taco Truck in So. El monte Outside of Pauls Bar on corner of Rush & Merced. I just had the new Supreme Burrito here at Omanas Wcovina this wknd.. I expected the Burrito to be Bigger considering the Price of $7.50. Where other of my favorites places have Super Burritos for same price but much bigger. Richi if your reading this " Its overpriced" for the size". or make it Bigger then your OK. There's no other red delicious sauce like it, also asada burrito is bomb red sauce as well, tripas tacos are the best here w/ green sauce if you're into tripas. I'm so happy there's a solid taco spot in the area that's open late! Whenever I'm in town and hanging out with friends late at night, I end up at Taco Omanas. Everything here is delicious and the prices are more than reasonable. I had a pretty poor experience with catering here (I would rate 2 star for my catering experience), but I like the food too much to give them a bad review. I had to call twice because the chefs only work in the morning and they would need to assess how much meat/ingredients are needed. I ordered everything to make tacos for 30 people (estimating 4 tacos per person) on Halloween weekend for a friend's birthday. On the day of the party, I walked into the shop and there was no food prepared for us.. The dude who took my order had written it on a plate and left it at the cash register, so no one even knew there was a catering order. Luckily, the staff worked pretty quickly to try to pull everything together for us and I trusted they wouldn't screw up again so we didn't really check the boxes they gave us before leaving. After getting home, we opened everything up and there was definitely not enough meat for 30 people - they provided more like 15-20 people's worth. They also barely gave us any onions and cilantro but a ton of tortillas. I didn't want to be that girl, but I was pretty pissed at this point so I went back to the store to complain. The same worker tried to tell me that they can't control how much meat we choose to put in our tacos so they gave us enough meat, it's basically just our fault for making too big of tacos. I explained to them that as caterers they should overestimate the amount of food people will be eating, especially when I didn't even have a specific budget. I asked for a certain amount of food and thought they would be able to estimate properly. The worker offered to provide us another small tray at a discounted price ($20), and I decided it wasn't worth pushing for anymore so we accepted and left. TLDR: over order if you're getting catering and call the morning of to re-confirm. read more
