    ISLAND SOFT TACO WITH CHORIZO
    Leena P.

My first taste of Hawaii and I was not disappointed!!! We ordered the island soft tacos, 2 chorizo & 2 birria. They came with sides of sauce, which only elevated the flavors. The portion size was perfect. 2/3 tacos is a solid meal, but we did 1 each and tried food from the other trucks in the area! There are a few picnic benches in the area, so you can stay and enjoy the meal, surrounded by wild chicken :) The only watchout... you'll be sitting unbothered till you bring your food around. The flies will pounce as soon as they get a waft. It's a bit annoying, so maybe come prepared with some bug spray!

These were probably some of the best tacos I've tasted in Hawaii. Although prices are a bit high, they're almost comparable to other Mexican restaurants and these tacos were so worth it! I ordered a carne asada, adobada, and lengua taco - lengua is $1 more than the others. Food came out fast and they offer you a choice of mild or spicy salsa. The tacos came piled with a good portion of meat and came with radishes and pickled carrots and jalepenos. I thought the adobada and lengua really stood out - the adobada had a nice flavor and lengua was so soft and tender! Will be back next time I'm on Maui!

Wasn't expecting to get Mexican food in Maui and I needed up finding the Best Birria tacos I've ever had. Quesabirria tacos are great and the consome tops it off perfectly. Not a lot of places to sit, but I'd eat these off of the ground if I had to. The owners are really friendly and the food comes out quick. A great stop right when you land at the airport at the food round up by costco.

Ground beef burritos are my go-to, but if they're not available, quesadillas are second. LOCATION: The food truck is located at the corner of Haleakala & Keolani, in between Costco & Courtyard Marriott, along with other trucks. Some covered seating is available. MENU: Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, mulitas & tortas. FOOD: Quesadilla Con Carne - $14.00 I chose "birria" as my protein which was sliced pork. The meat was tender and flavorful, filled with a good amount of cheese. The menu stated it comes with sour cream & pico but only salsa accompanied. SERVICE: Counter service was friendly. Food order was quick and came out hot, around 5 minutes. OVERALL: Good quesadillas but go for their Quesatacos (crunchy tacos) instead.

It is right next to the Marriott, across from Costco. About three food trucks in this area.

This food truck is located on the other side of the parking lot from the majority of the trucks. We almost missed it after having lunch. As we did a taco tour back home, we wanted to try the tacos. Maybe it is because we had just eaten, but the tacos would not be "five stars" for me. The fish tacos were good, but the birria was underwhelming. It was good to try the food trucks, but Maui has a lot of options, so it was good to experience different places while there.

Taco trio Shredded Beef, Fish & Shrimp! With pico de gallo. Outstanding! Served with Marinated Carrots & fresh radish slices and fresh lime!

Free parking in Food truck lot across from Costco! This epic food truck recently relocated from Lahaina and is cranking out some of the most mouthwatering BROKE DA MOUTH KINE of Mexican Grinds! Seriously so good, I had to order a burrito to go (Shredded Beef full of flavor to savor!) I have this new truck bookmarked on my Yelp App as the place to go for hand crafted Authentic Mexican Cuisine! I will be flying in on weekends from Oahu to get my Mexican Food Fix here! Tip: Call ahead to avoid the lines forming by locals and a trickle of tourists that is bound to turn into a Major Raging Rush during lunch & dinner times! Call ahead & get ready for a Mexican Fiesta for your taste buds! 808-359-1631 Five Fabulous Stars! Friendly Aloha served here with great grinds!

We ordered the fish taco and the birria tacos. The fish soft taco was tasty. The grilled fish was topped with a nice crunchy cabbage slaw and drizzled with a dressing. I was disappointed with the birria soft taco. The meat was dry and didn't have any additional broth to season it. The tacos came with some pickled carrots and radish. Unfortunately they were they were a little soft and not very pickled. The ordering experience was good because the service was quick and the cashier was friendly and helpful when ordering. Tip: This food truck is not located with all the other trucks in the main area. It is located in the back of the parking lot close to the hotel the food truck park is adjacent to. It can get hot there at lunchtime, luckily there are a couple of covered picnic tables with shade.

I came here for a Yelp Elite event last week for the first time. The food truck is located in the Triangle food court adjacent to the Courtyard by Marriott. The food is terrific. I had two barria tacos and one shrimp taco. I was talking about this food truck to my 3 or my coworkers, and they all had great things to say about this truck. The husband of one of my workers drives from Kihei several times a week just to eat lunch here. I will be back with the family on my next visit.

My hunny and I LOVE this place so much! It's a MUST stop every time we come to Lahaina! Food: We always get the Birria and Asada Quesatacos with a side of rice and beans and consommé each! It's so filling and so delicious. Especially when dipping it into the consommé it just makes everything so moist and delicious. On the weekends it gets a little busy, but I can assure you it is so well worth the wait! Lahaina is on the hot side, so if the table they have under their tent is in use, I would suggest eating it in your car in THE AC or taking it to go and eat at home or in your hotel. Other then that I will always be back for some Quesatacos!

Well I can officially cross "eat the world's best fish tacos" off my bucket list because I just had them here. No kidding, they are really outstanding tacos. Overstuffed with fresh fish and toppings. They are served with a tasty salsa verde on the side. Its gonna get messy so ask for extra napkins. You can get soft tortillas or fried. Both are equally good. Located in a small food truck court, where you can also park for free. Double highly recommend.

Located across Costco in the open lot with other food trucks, Las Islitas offers a great selection of Mexican Foods. Tried the Birria Tacos, Fish Burrito, Chips and Salsa. Also tried the Jarritos Strawberry and Pineapple Sodas which were refreshing and not too sweet. The Birria tacos were excellent, had a good amount of meat (had shredded beef) and cheese. The consome had a spice to it. I prefer it on the more mild side. The fish used in the burrito was mahi mahi and it was also great. The fish was soft and other ingredients like the rice, beans, etc were tasty. I haven't tried too many mexican places on Maui but this is one spot that I will come back to. f

As a seasoned Mexican food critic, I must say this establishment truly impressed for food truck fare. The beans and rice, often the litmus test of any Mexican meal, surpassed expectations with their authentic flavor and perfect texture. The carne asada burrito was a generous portion bursting with flavor, a testament to the chef's mastery. And let's not forget the spicy salsa, a harmonious blend of heat and flavor that hit all the right spots, elevating every bite to new heights. This place is a gem for anyone seeking genuine Mexican cuisine done right in a relaxed food truck atmosphere. Service is slow but keep in mind it's made fresh....don't rush the process

    Pork burrito. Very good!
    Georgie H.

Really good Mexican food at the Kahului food truck court. Previously, I tried the crunchy tacos which were to die for, and this time the pork burrito was big enough to split. But it wouldn't have been hard to eat it all because it was very good. I like that they have a picnic table right next to the food truck which makes it convenient to stay. Parking can sometimes be tricky when they're busy here, but it looks like there will be more parking coming soon next-door. I got the spicy salsa and it was indeed spicy, but bearable and worthwhile getting. It was a pleasure to stop here and grab a quick lunch.

Looked for this place today in the place where there are several food trucks gathered nearby Costco--but didn't see it. Are they located there usually, in the actual Costco parking lot, or somewhere else?

They are currently only located in Lahaina in the Island Grocery Depot parking lot. They recently closed their Kahului Costco location due to being short staffed.

Inspired by Grandma Linda's cherished recipes, the owners first opened up shop in Lahaina. Following the fires, they relocated centrally and recently just found a new home at the Tambayan Corner food truck lot in Kahului. They serve all the typical Mexican greatest hits of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and a small lineup of bebidas (drinks). On warm days, I've enjoyed their ube horchata which is one of their more unique offerings. It's just the right balance of creamy sweetness to cool you down. I've also had their quesabirria tacos, which are tasty and satisfying. I just wished the consommé had a bit more depth of flavor -- the kind where you know the meat has been stewing for hours and hours. Overall, whether you're in the mood for a quick taco fix or a refreshing drink, Linda's Kitchen is a good spot when the craving for Mexican food hits.

Their big blue truck can't be missed as they are located right on the corner. They serve up a handful of Mexican favorites from tacos to burritos, quesadillas, menudo, and even a taco salad. What piqued my interest was one of their specialty items that was marked available on Saturdays and Sundays only -- their birria ramen. No one has this available on their menu regularly (that I know of) so if you've been wanting to try it... this is the spot. When I stopped by the food truck lot again for lunch, I was happy to see that it was actually one of their specials that was available so I didn't have to wait for the weekend. It didn't have a price on it on the specials board so I was a little shocked when my total came out to $19. (Their regular menu says $12, so not sure if it was served differently that day?). My order came out quickly and I was happy to see that it came with limes and 3 tortillas. It reminded me of how my birria taco order came when I was in LA. One bite and I must say it was pretty tasty. The broth had good flavor and the meat was very tender. Don't forget to squeeze in the limes for an extra hit of flavor; it makes all the difference! While it tasted good, I could have honestly done without the ramen. I would rather eat it all as just a soup, haha! Overall though, I enjoyed it and am glad I finally got to try it. The price was a little on the steep end, so it won't be something I have regularly. My coworkers who got their crispy tacos enjoyed their meal as well. The family that owns is truck is from Jalisco, Mexico so I definitely look forward to exploring the menu more and tasting some authentic Mexican flavors and food. Parking is available on the Kahului Library side and a really nice covered eating area with ample tables and seating is available. Some evenings they even do karaoke at the food truck lot.
