Would not recommend. I had a 3 ton AC unit installed. They replaced my old unit with a new one in…read morea different location that was convenient for them. This meant not putting the unit further back in the crawl space but right in the way of my crawl space entrance. This also meant installing a new pad that sits beside my already large and accommodating pad for the units, which also blocks a sprinkler head. The pump/drain installed was put right next to the house so water would drain between the foundation of my house and the pad. That also created a lot of algae buildup. I fixed this myself. Does the unit blow cold air, yes. Is this quality work? Not in the slightest. Despite this experience I called this company out to have my air ducts looked at for potential cleaning. A recommendation was made to have my air ducts cleaned. The quote received referenced systems being cleaned. It was NOT clear when they first came out they would only be doing 1 of 2 systems. I learned this while the work was being done. I reached out to express my frustration that a $1200 duct cleaning was only for 1 of the 2 systems. I received a call back with the technician citing he only looked at one system. The technicians explanation and the quote did not make it clear that only 1 system would be cleaned. Strange too that the odor that triggered this duct cleaning was on the system they installed. I had no issues with the original system that was there for 13 years. I will not only NOT recommend this company, I'll go out of my way to warn others. There are plenty of companies looking to earn peoples business, and I'm glad to give it to them.

We had an A/C issue and our normal company couldn't make it out so we called Covenant. We have used…read morethem for seasonal maintenance but nothing else. Trip charge was $109 to basically tell us to turn it off and they would be back the next day. Said he couldn't charge the gas because it would just run out. Night of heavy sweating. As they said, they came out the next day and analyzed the issue. $300 for leak detection. Once they found it we were told, even under warranty, it would be $2100. I do not like to get one opinion so I called our normal company. They came right out, found the leak without $300 leak detection and said it would be $800 out the door. In addition he charged it and said it would last us a week and call if we needed him before then. I do give credit to Covenant for coming out but charging us 3 times as much was ridiculous.

Called Lee Company last Friday because the master bedroom electricity shut off. They sent someone…read moreto come look. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes turns out it was just a tripped fuse which I missed my mistake. But they ended up charging us $139 something so little! I asked him to please charge us less that was just too much and he said nope can't do that. Of course we called back, asking to speak to management. They didn't get back to us. 3 more calls later over half a week I finally got a manager to call me back. Said the guy only charged us $60 to flip the switch, the other $79 was a "dispatch fee". Yes I looked at the box and missed the tripped switch I thought I got them all but come on we payed $139 for 10 minutes of work. They refused to refund us anything from their overpriced fees. Best he could was waive some fees on our next call. Spoiler alert there isn't going to be a next call with the way we were treated. Hey Lee Company, don't treat people like this. Just because times are tough doesn't mean you should rob us blind. I feel very much taken advantage of.

We called HUNTER, they squeezed us into their schedule and saved us over $1000. The repair that was needed cost less than $400 parts and labor and was done the same day. Highly recommend HUNTER HEATING & AIR. James Coleman was who came out. He was knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. Would recommend trying smaller local services over the large big name service companies.

UPDATE- screenshots below- email meant for Daniel Hunter (owner) that was responded to by Mark…read more Best case- the COO is side-stepping the owner to cover up poor performance. Worst case- the owner agrees with how things were handled and Mark and team are following the lead of someone who cannot be trusted to stand by his work. DO NOT trust them with your home. Mark and team helped us in December 2024 and we thought the repair went well. Fast forward to today when the part they replaced (blower wheel) fails. Their diagnosis- A mouse must have done it. No joke- that was Nick's (tech) explanation and Mark (COO) doubled down on it. When questioned, they did offer other suggestions like "maybe a screw did it" and "maybe your tenants don't change the air filters often enough". When asked about a warranty or standing by their work and craftsmanship Mark stated "Yes, we absolutely stand by our work. Your blower wheel worked beautifully for you for 10 months". In addition to an outrageous lack of accountability for their work, Nick was also extremely rude when my husband challenged his "a mouse ate your (metal!) blower wheel story", hanging up on my husband and then telling Mark it was the other way around. Very poor performance standing behind their product and a severe lack of professionalism. The kicker is that their poor quality work and product also damaged our blower motor so in addition to having someone else come out to properly fix their sub-par work, we now have an additional cost to cover. Save yourself the hassle and find anyone other than Hunter Heating and Air to service your HVAC.
