Was recommended to try Tadaima while in the city and in the mood for an afternoon pick me up. The shop was cute, minimally decorated with a matcha theme. I ordered the iced matcha latte with strawberry cream, regular milk and half sweet. It was really good, one of the better matcha lattes I've had in a while. Not too sweet and it tasted like real strawberry in the cream top. Will definitely be back!
Decided to come here after seeing good reviews on Tiktok. I ordered the hojicha sea salt cheese foam latte to share with my fiance, but after trying it, we decided we each needed our own drink. It was that good. So we also ordered the matcha latte with foam. The hojicha was just the right amount of creamy and nutty. Probably the best hojicha we've had in the city so far. Same for the matcha honestly. It was just earthy enough and the milk and foam didn't subdue the matcha flavor at all. I hate when matcha is too milky. Everything came out really quick too! Would love to come back here. Such a great matcha spot.
Finally got the chance to try Tadaima. There was a long line at a kind of off lunch hour on the weekend. It moves pretty fast. Probably ordered and got my sando within 30 minutes. Don't think the sandwich is worth the price. I think there are better sandos out there. Got the fish katsu with shiso sando. Wanted more shiso in the sandwich. The fish itself was kind of dry. It is filling, and it doesn't feel that heavy comparatively to American sandwiches. Not a lot of seating inside. Ended up eating near a park.
We got the Matcha Salted Cheese Cream Latte and the Black Sesame Latte, and both were delicious. The Matcha Salted Cheese Cream Latte was the standout for me. The salted cheese cream on top added this perfect savory balance to the sweetness of the drink. It's one of those combinations that sounds a little unexpected but just works. My one note for next time is to go half sugar so the matcha flavor can really shine through, but that's a personal preference more than a criticism. The Black Sesame Latte was good, but we both wished the sesame flavor was a little more pronounced. If you're going in expecting bold, nutty black sesame notes, it's a touch on the subtle side. Still enjoyable, just leaves you wanting a little more of what drew you to order it in the first place. Overall a really fun spot with creative drinks and a great vibe. Already thinking about what to try on the next visit!
Pleaseee get these poor workers an AC unit that works, I felt so bad that they were sweltering in the recent heat when I went (and having to yell people's names over a loud crowd). Matcha here was fire though, I would definitely recommend over a couple other competitors in the SF area! Getting it less sweet allows that natural matcha flavor to really peak as well too. Next time, I'll have to try the food and also the jasmine tea with the matcha foam. I like the concept and aesthetic, especially when matcha shops are popping up like wildflowers.

Definitely bear in mind that this is not a quick service place as of now, since there are so many people interested! However, the staff is kind and patient with the crowd, so just need to factor in extra time. We got the pistachio cream matcha and a couple onigiri. The matcha is definitely a sweet, dessert-like drink, but that worked out great for us! The pistachio is nice and creamy and the matcha is just a little earthy. The onigiri comes filled to the brim. They even put some of the additional filling on top, so it feels like a great bang for your buck. The crab onigiri is delicious! This is a great place! The line is long, and I wouldn't really recommend to someone specifically for a very true matcha taste, but this a great weekend pick-me-up spot!
Great matcha and musubi in the Marina! The pistachio cream matcha latte was so good. As a huge matcha fan, I definitely approve. I loved that it wasn't too sweet, and the all-green interior is super cute and inviting. For food, I tried the unagi, avocado, and spam with egg musubi. I got lucky since it was the last one available, and it was so delicious I finished it in a minute. Parking is street parking all around. I heard there can be a wait during peak hours on weekends, but I went on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty chill. I stayed for a bit to work, but there's no WiFi, so plan to use your hotspot. Definitely coming back to try more matcha drinks!
The regular sugar is perfect sugar. You taste the Matcha. It is sweet and it tastes like real authentic Matcha the one thing that you should note those is if you're lactose intolerant, they don't have any creams that would give you flavored, but they do offer oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk
Came here with my fiancé (who doesn't eat dairy). She originally wanted their matcha latte with strawberry cream, but unfortunately the strawberry cream was premade and couldn't be made non-dairy. So we got a plain matcha latte with oat milk. The matcha flavor was strong and it's not too sweet. The drink could have been smoother since there's a matcha powder texture at the end of each sip. I got their strawberry cream sando. The cream is almost like cheesecake consistency and it's pretty sweet. Bread is soft. Strawberries are more on the sour side, but I think it balances well the sweet cream and sweet bread. Overall, wish they were a bit more dairy-free friendly, but really good cream sando place and not a bad place for matcha latte!
Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon for some matcha and lunch! The place was pretty empty. Seats are very comfy and the place is colorful. I ordered the spam and egg musubi, fish katsu with shiso sandwich and a matcha latte with oat milk. Total came out to be around 34. The musubi is great if you want a quick snack. I really enjoyed the fish katsu sandwich. The lettuce was fresh, and the fish had just been fried, crunchy, warm and paired well with the sauce. The flavor kind of reminded me of a fish o fillet from mcdonalds, but an elevated, healthier version. The matcha latte came a bit sweetened and they use good quality matcha.
Solid comeback from grainy matcha drink in the mission location. This space is also a lot larger than the mission location one. Plenty of seating, but does get busy. Ordered a light ice matcha latte ($6.50). The matcha had a great umami flavor and good color. Pickup area can be a bit more organized. The cafe is more of a catch up cafe since there's no wifi, it does get quite loud, but the space is aesthetically appealing.
My date and I were on TikTok and wanted something sweet and we stumbled upon a video that reviewed Tadaima so we decided to go. We ordered a Strawberry & Cream Sando as well as a Strawberry Matcha Latte. In my opinion, the sando itself was a solid 3.5/5. Though the cream and strawberry was very sweet and delicious, the bread was unfortunately a little airy & dry which made the sando on the disappointing side for us. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was OK, ~3/5. We found that our Matcha wasn't all that smooth and felt a little "gritty." Once the strawberry part was mixed in, it became a little better. Overall, Tadaima in Marina was OK for us, it was definitely a solid try.
While the one in the Sunset has long lines, this one has none! (At least when we arrived at around 1pm on a Monday; ) We snacked on a curry chicken and a mushroom onigiri, along with drinks- strawberry cream matcha latte and a black sesame cream latte w/ a shot of espresso. Nice bright store with friendly service and clean restroom. People in yoga outfits come here from a nearby studio!

Jasmine tea and matcha are having a moment, so i was eager to try Tadaima's rendition. It was tasty! The less sweet version was just right for me and I think the bitterness from each tea balanced each other well. The matcha added grassy notes, while the floral jasmine made for a very fragrant drink! We came right at opening, so we didn't wait at all. But, the line was already super long by the time we left. I would be curious to try their other specials and sandwiches in the future! read more

The matcha was so good here, I got the pistachio matcha with whole milk and regular sweet. It was on the sweeter side but delicious! It didn't have that fake pistachio syrup flavor. They lose points from my on the onigiri, I got the miso crab and my friend got the yuzu salmon. Both were good in flavor but lacking in filling. It was a tiny bit of filling in the middle, seasoning on one side of the rice and a dollop of the meat on top. Presentation was delicious but why did I pluck off several hairs out of my snow crab onigiri?? Would come back for the matcha and I really wanted to try a sando but now I'm on the fence considering the hair in my onigiri. read more

Superr crowded!! The employees were very nice and welcoming tho just very little available seats so u might have to go early if u wanna get a spot and be aesthetic nd shtz but ya The food is so expensive wtf crying emoji 3x the sandwiches r lowk overpriced asf no wait run it back ALL of it is XDDD TBH I would not come here again I just came coz bae heart eyes emoji wanted to pu so I was like BET!! Strawberry cream is a must!!! So delicious, fluffy and light not too heavy. A bit on the sweeter side (not overpowering). It doesn't taste like other cafes where the strawberry taste can be too syrupy. This one is close to perfect. Matcha itself was good, nothing super crazy but solid solid drink. Would recommend if in the area. Only thing, parking can get busy so if you can do online ordering and just pick up. You have to tell them u have an online order or they won't call your name. read more
Tadaima means I'm home in Japanese. It's just such a common term with my family, and being Japanese, I get a kick out of this cafe name. Well, here, I definitely didn't feel at home, but I did feel like all my matcha cravings were satisfied! My best friend and I always love grabbing matcha together. Being in the area, we wanted to check out Tadaima since we'd never been to their Mission spot. This place is popping with friend groups, couples, and like-minded matcha girlys. There's table seating inside, but it's usually taken, so keep that in mind. It's also popular for take-out, which is what we did. Decor is minimal, and the color inside is such a vibrant green. Service was quick for our matcha drinks but definitely took time for my best friend's food. We both got the Matcha Latte with Strawberry Cream, mine with oat milk. The matcha quality was good and not too sweet or bitter, the strawberry flavor was present, and the drink wasn't overly creamy. It was delicious and I'd order it again! My best friend said her sandwich was good too. Tadaima gets my approval in the Marina! There are so many places, so I recommend checking them out if you're in the area and craving a matcha. They're off Union Street, with street or garage parking nearby. read more

Wasn't expecting an absolutely stuffed onigiri. I've had their sandos before , those I don't recommend. The onigiris are another story. Packed to the brim with snow crab and the beef was caramelized with onions! How delicious. Definitely packed but I will be back and will buy 6 next time read more
I ordered the tonkatsu + pineapple sando, egg salad sando, and the strawberry and cream sando. Omg, the strawberry cream one tasted delicious!! I didn't enjoy the tonkatsu one because it was a bit dry, but still crispy on the edges which made it enjoyable in some way. read more
I ordered the black sesame latte with oat, the barista asked if I'd like to have espresso in it which was odd since it's a latte and I had said yes. She asked single or double, most drinks come w a double shot so that's what I ordered. My drink came out to $10. Absolutely ridiculous because the espresso was not strong and the foam was fine. My friend ordered a pistachio cream matcha and found the matcha to be weak. We both agreed stonemill or yume would be a better visit. read more
Stopped by for a late afternoon snack and got the fish sando. Service was quick and efficient. There isn't a ton of seating inside (and none outside) but a table opened up fairly quickly. The sando was super yummy. The fish wasn't greasy at all. It was crispy and light and paired nicely with the mayo and shiso leaf. The bread was super fluffy and delightful. It also came in a nice takeout box. Portion size was good for a heavier snack. I would stop by again for another sando and try one of their drinks. read more

This is the second time I've been to Tadaima, the first being at their other location in the Mission, and I loved it then and still do now! I got their matcha latte w/ strawberry cream and chicken sando and both were so good. I used to not be a fan of the strawberry and matcha combo since I'm not a huge sweets person, but it's grown on me and Tadaima does it well. Their chicken sando is super juicy and the bread is soft and perfect to absorb all the flavor! I love that there's two locations to stop at depending where I'm at in the city! read more

We stopped by to try the sandos and definitely were not disappointed. I tried the yuzu salmon onigiri which was really good as well. I ended up ordering online and I'm glad we did since the line was quite long. I would definitely come back and try the matcha as well. read more

Finally got around to trying Tadaima! I never made it out to their location in the Mission District, simply because I don't frequent that neighborhood as often, and so I was happy to learn that they are now also in the Marina. (I'm sad that the establishment they took over, 7 Tables, is gone, but such is life.) I came on a weekday and shared a strawberry matcha latte and a fruit sando. Both were good, but not amazing. The drink was good for the first few sips, but I realized that I liked the strawberry portion--the matcha part was actually a bit too bitter for my personal preference. (For what it's worth, I've also been making my own matcha at home and it's sort of made it hard for me to appreciate cafe matcha drinks because I've become pickier ) Overall, I'm happy that I tried this place and that I didn't wait in line for hours for it. I would return if I was in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more
surprisingly not that busy on a saturday at 11! ordered two matcha lattes and two sandwiches. i really like the katsu sandwich with pineapple - the sweet & savory combo hits. i also enjoyed my pistachio latte with oat milk less sweet. would recommend. i would come back to try other things on their menu. read more
Quick trip just to try from what's said to be one of the best matcha in SF. My daughter approved and she's tried a lot of places. It was smooth, balanced and they use high quality ceremonial matcha. Place had a few tables and chairs for 3 groups of 4 and a high table at the front. No lines until a few minutes after we came, that was about 5pm on a Sunday. I should have gotten hot matcha instead of cold! We went in December and man I am telling you! Get the hot matcha!! We had a short trip so we didn't want to just sit inside the place, so we were talking around the neighborhood. And it was so cold! So yeah if you are not planning to stay inside and it's during winter season, def get a hot drink. I got a strawberry matcha and omg it's so yummy! It's like the perfect matcha green with strawberry cream on top. It's not the strawberry jam that kind of makes the whole drink too sweet and can't eat the strawberry, they paired each other so perfectly! I will definitely go back to try other ones! read more
This place was amazing!! Girl at order was so nice and made good suggestions. The chicken sandwich was the best!! So fresh and filling. I also tried the egg but it wasn't AS good as the chicken one. Tadaima is a gem in Cow Hollow! Stopped by for a quick lunch and ended up staying longer than planned because everything was so good. The chicken karaage sando is incredible - crispy, juicy chicken on the softest pillowy bread you can imagine. I also tried their matcha latte with strawberry cream, which was beautifully presented and had a smooth, earthy flavor without being too sweet. They have a lot of musubis but I thought those were just ok and a little over priced. Had to get one for the novelty though. read more

Disclaimer: I ordered off the uber eats app as I had credit, so my experience is limited. We ordered a strawberry matcha and a matcha with salted cream top. I had the latter. I didn't get a chance to drink my drink that was delivered during the evening until the next morning , however it was still really well mixed with no clumps. Matcha flavor is moderately strong and not overly sweet like some other matcha shops, and the salted cream top was enough for a little savory flavor profile. Would like to get it again but the price is a bit steep - $7.75 on the app per drink. read more

I got the matcha latte with strawberry cream and it was really good! I enjoyed it a lot. There were crunchy strawberries at the top of the drink that made it very pleasant to drink and crunch on. I like it a lot better than the dehydrated strawberries other shops use that don't typically have a crunch like that. My partner doesn't really like matcha but he really enjoyed this drink! They do use quite a bit of cream in the drink, so there isn't as much matcha as I would like or expect in a drink. For the price that we pay for this drink, I think they could use slightly bigger cups to offset the ratio and add a bit more of the matcha latte in comparison to the cream. The drink was finished quickly and didn't feel like a lot or enough. The drink was very short lived and can be finished within minutes. Another issue I have is that I'm unsure how a $7.75 drink turned out to be nearly $10 before tip. I think they may charge hidden fees (which is now illegal). I went to a coffee shop afterwards and the drink was around the same price but ended up being $8-9 before tip. I really liked Tadaima but I am unsure I would come back due to the price discrepancy and portions. It was a nice treat to have though. read more
Came to Tadaima for a redemption matcha and had a much needed, good quality matcha! Came here at around 1:45, and there was no seating inside, but luckily we only got matchas so we took them to go. We ordered both a hot and iced matcha latte, and really appreciated that they offered coconut milk as most places don't. We were told the regular matcha latte comes with 3 pumps of simple syrup, so I asked for 1.5 instead. I also asked to do an extra matcha shot, and was told they already put a double matcha shot in there which is great to hear! There was a great matcha flavor, but as someone who enjoys really strong matcha, I think it could've used a taaaaaad bit more. The coconut milk added a slight sweetness to it, so I'm glad I adjusted the sweetness! If you're in the area, I'd recommend Tadaima over others nearby! read more

On a quest to find the strongest matcha latte and the strawberry cream matcha here lands somewhere in the middle. I was shocked to see matcha being squirted out from condiment bottles and my friend said she saw the staff blending the matcha in the back. Generally creams are the foam cream on top but their strawberry cream is liquid and completely disappeared in the drink when I checked on my order. It would taste a lot better as a heavy cream foam top so the strawberry flavor doesn't get drowned in the matcha. read more
I like that here you can find street parking pretty easily. Came here at 2PM on a Tuesday. It's a small space with a few tables as well. They were all taken but definitely next time would chill here to try out their food. There was just a few people before us and there was 1 cashier, but line was moving quite fast! We got 2 matcha lattes with pistachio cream & 1 matcha latte with strawberry cream. From ordering to getting our drinks within 10 mins :) The pistachio cream was yummy and it was thicker than compared to the strawberry cream. The strawberry cream had good flavor as well.
